Long overdue and Well deserved. JT is the best number 2 complimentary WR in the history of Football. Canton we are awaiting your call.
Dam bro you aint lying. John Taylor was a really good receiver that game winning touchdown in the super alone should put him in the hof
Absolutely! A totally unselfish, brilliant player. When he wasn't catching the ball, he was blocking as well as any wide receiver in NFL history. I'm so happy to see him get the honors and tributes he's always deserved.
Absolutely not a pro-football hall of fame player.
But he’s definitely a legend, an all-time great Niner, and he deserves to be in the team HOF.
@@christophmatthews4313 >>> How is Taylor NOT a HoF player? Looking at some of the WRs in the Hall, why not Taylor, just based on his long-term value to the team?
Most under-appreciated 49er ever
Absolute truth; I’m not sure we have a Rice without a Taylor. Love the highlight reel showing Jerry down field throwing blocks for John.
You can say that again man
John Taylor was one of the most gifted players I ever saw. I played football myself and I thought John Taylor was very good.
What took so damn long? John Taylor was a YAC machine 🏈
He was The YAC Bro before the YAC bros 😁
I was born in 76 so I grew up watching the 49ers and everybody was always a huge Jerry Rice fan. Obviously. But my favorite was always John Taylor. All my friends will be out in the yard yelling I’m Jerry Rice, and I was the only one yelling I’m John Taylor lol so underrated.
That TD against the Giants in the 90 NFC championship was crazy. JT allday!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. This man is criminally under rated and is one of the unsung players on a decades long dynasty. Well deserved, thank you John Taylor.
He was amazing!!
He can wear his Superbowl rings proud. He was an electric player, lots of amazing memories a true 49er.
Two 90+ catch and run touchdowns in the same game, Monday night against the hated Rams was a great one. I was watching it that night.
One of the Most underrated players not only as a 49er but the entire NFL period!! Him and Rice has to go down as one of the greatest wide receiving duos in NFL history.
LONG OVERDUE! Truly one of the greatest wide receivers of all time. JT is the MAN 💪🏾
Long overdue in the 49er HoF. I have such memories of him paired with Rice on the other side -- they were the WR duo of the ages.
I miss those days JT congrats HOF from the faithful 49er Empire
John Taylor was bad ass for real one of the greatest
Long overdue and Well deserved, JT-Second best WR in 49ers history
I would probably put JT in 3 T.O. is number 2
Wish these highlight packages would show his blocking. I might not be an expert but I have never seen a better blocking wide receiver.
This guy was awesome congratulations to the Hall of Fame
JT was so smoov , him and John Stallworth were my favorite receivers . Hope JT makes it to the HOF
Man I loved John Taylor! He was also the best punt returner I've ever seen for the Niners. When they stopped having him return punts to keep him healthy they really suffered at the position and have never really had a good one after that.
All time fave number…hands down..loved them all as a kid but this guy with the ball in his hand was pure poetry to my eyes
My boy!!! For a lot that Jerry Did. John Taylor did great things too. Congrats!!! Well earned!
It’s just crazy to think that when I was was younger around 10 years old. I would always see this #82 TAYLOR catching passes and scoring while watching 49ers highlights. I never knew his actual name until I searched up “#82 Taylor on the 49ers” and just seeing this. He was GREAT. HOF worthy candidate
Had myself a John Taylor knitted jersey back in the day-always had some magic up his sleeve
My favorite 49er, John Taylor!! Long overdue! One of the most underrated and coolest players in NFL history. Congratulations. John Taylor highlight films never cease to amaze. I felt fortunate to watch him play in San Francisco.
I saw John Taylor today and he is amazing
#82 bad but over looked one of the best to ever do it gotta give Mr. John Taylor some love 💯 he'll always be a 49er great
Loved his game. I'm not a Niners fan, but JT was my favorite Niner.
Great hands, great speed, great punt return man, a certain #1 on almost any other team, a perfect complement to Rice and never worried about being overshadowed by Rice.
God bless you John Taylor !
You really made life easy for Jerry Rice could never really double team because of John Taylor let's not forget he was a good kickoff return man
Long overdue indeed. Congratulations Mr Taylor
Yes, this is so well deserved. Watching game after game the man played and preformed without fanfare never complained, without him we would not have won as many games as we did ,
Absolutely.
One of the most solid and dependable wrs in the history of the gamer. Btw dude was tough as nails and u did not mess with JT
Ridiculously underrated
I loved this guy tho and he’s highly underrated in the NFL 🔥💯💯💯😎💪🏽
John taylor always has been and always will be my favorite 49ers player. Everyone loves the household names but JT was exciting to watch also. Best wishJT and congratulations, well deserved.
That's a bad dude. Much luv .thank you for all the great weekends . #49ers
My favorite 49er thanks you and congrats
as a vikings fan taylor had so many big games and should b considered for the hof
Second best WR in 49ers history
Facts
Hard to argue but Gene Washington was our Cliff Branch back in the day and the duo of Solomon and Clark gave us our first two super bowl wins. Still, had JT been on those teams we probably don't draft Jerry. Hmmm
Watching John sends chills down my spine. This guy was awesome in every way. Great sportsman too....a gentleman. Oh......and I really loved the fact that Deon couldn't do anything with him. Go John GO ^5
My 3rd favorite player of all time.
Edit: just shed a tear after watching vid.
He should be in the NFL Hall of Fame.
Bad Man!
Still the greatest duo of my generation Lynn Swann and John stawllworth were great too but a little before my time so I gotta roll with my 49ers duo
Great that this glaring omission has been rectified... would have been automatic if not for Jerry. The greatest WR partnership ever.
Him and Jerry were like JORDAN and PIPPEN
My personal favorite 49er of that era
Outstanding reciever. Belongs in the PFHOF(if John Stallworth belongs there then so does John Taylor).
All of the 49er wide recievers who played for Bill Walsh can make a case for the HoF. John Taylor, Dwight Clark, Freddie Solomon all had hof careers imo
Under appreciated
Should be in Canton soon!.
Waaaay over due!!!!
No doubt John's 10 yard Touchdown catch in Super Bowl XXIII will be one of the most memorable moments in the 49ers. History!!
Hey man I can go back to Gene Washington and Ted Kwalick but nothing beats Rice-A-Roni and his San Francisco treat AKA John Taylor the most underrated wide receiver in 49er history🏈🏈
If Rice was Batman then JT was Robin. The original YAC brothers. You get them the rock and they made it happen and made house calls to the endzone regularly and they always did it when we needed them to do it
Well deserved JT!
Not to mention his ability as a punt returner too. He was dangerous back there.
I have one his game balls 💪🏾❤️
Taylor outrunning Deion n his Prime
Man I miss Joe Starkey.
Yeah, he was amazing.
Taylor and Rice is like Curry and Klay. Opposing defenders were left to choose their own poison.
I tried to find videos of the play where he broke his leg. He was never quite the same after that. I really believe that if he didn’t get that injury, he would be known as one of the greatest receivers along side Rice.
Did you see the great blocks by the GOAT
Wow! Hyungjin Sean Moon = 2nd KING
As a 49ers fan, john Taylor,
is the 2nd greatest wideout in football history behind jerry rice how do you feal about it
49ers have a lot of hall of fame career
He would have been a top 10 all time wide receiver if Jerry didn’t play for the Niners.
I live next door to Reggie Jackson’s brother! John sold cars for Reggie! 3 miles north of Delaware state collage!
I met him when he worked at San Jose juvenile hall in the 90s. I told him i was gonna steal his car, he didn't like that very much. 😂
In his prime, WR1 anywhere else
You're too humble Mr Taylor
Should be in Canton as well.
He peaceful peace out Prime but won SB 29 together
#82 John Taylor = #19Deebo Samuel
I used ta livedsa wsy he spike da ball
That’s my cousin
Love seeing Jerry Rice throwing blocks for John Taylor. This generation of WRs need to ask themselves if the want to be great then why aren’t they blocking?
Taylor was a hall of fame caliber, but he got overshadowed by Jerry Rice.
I agree, you put him as a feature receiver on another team he is already in Canton
0:58 hell naw today he a b a G
Ah the memories... when a working class man could afford to get season tickets without any PSL garbage.
Way overdue
I think he should b n
Wondering if Bo would made it to Buffalo 🐃he'd a horrid n 14 games he all time
No one,,, I mean no one is catching him,,, not even Darrell Green.🏃 💨💨💨💨💨💨
