    I just got the 940 speed yesterday , and it can’t even stream Hulu without going all blurry. Did your service get better after a couple Of days? I’m already worried I made a mistake switching from Comcast.

      The best way to see if it's something on their end, vs your end, is to DRIECTLY CONNET an ethernet wire to the box that is like a "leech" on the wall. I show the connector on the video. Do this from a laptop or desktop. Once connected, open your browser to speedtest.net and do a speed test. If you are receiving 940 or around that, it's on you end. Meaning your routers, or Wi-Fi setup inside the home. If your speed is nothing near 940 when you are directly connected to the device on the wall, it's on their end. Hope this helps. What you want to do is connect an ethernet cable DIRECTLY from your laptop or desktop to the gateway quantum installed at your home, on the wall. I showed this connection on the video, so check it out if you missed it. Then go to speedtest.net and test the speed. If you are getting 940 or close to 1 Gig speed, you are all set, and it's not on their end. If nit, it's your router, or inside wi-fi issue. Personally, it makes ZERO sense to "rent" their pods at $15 a month plus the crazy taxes. So $18 a month x 12 months is $216 EVERY SINGLE YEAR! Makes absolutely ZERO SENSE! I did a video on the Google ones that have Wi-Fi 6, and they are absolutely awesome! ------->ua-cam.com/video/UFuTZ-XBxuw/v-deo.html Here is the link with the discount too!----> amzn.to/41uZFIF

    I had a question was the equipment covered by the price for life or was it a different monthly payment.

    • @SaveGreenHere
      @SaveGreenHere  9 місяців тому

      The equipment is INCLUDED. It is part of their equipment, to bring fiber to you. The rest, like the Google Wifi pods, you need to buy. They can rent you their version of pods, but it makes 1000000% zero sense to rent such equipment. Use this link, and get an extra $100 credit aklam.io/w1U6Ld

    Hey man, appreciate the information. I'm looking to switch to QF and want to make the installation as seamless as possible. I'm confused with the outside installation part, you mentioned "make sure you have an outside wall with a nearby outlet". I would like the outside installation where the ONT is to be directly in my room which is on the right front side of the house (regular square house) but the only outside outlet we have outside is left backside which happens to be in small storage area. What's the best way to go about this should I install a long extension cord which leads into to the side where I want the ONT to be installed? I'm I good along as I have an inside outlet where I want the ONT to be located? Any information greatly be appreciated! Thank you! Also I'm 100% positive they run the fiber through the poles in my neighborhood.

    • @SaveGreenHere
      @SaveGreenHere  Рік тому

      It would have to come through a wall that would most likely be in the back yard, facing the vicinity of your light poles if they run through the back of homes where you live. Use this link, and get an extra $100 credit aklam.io/w1U6Ld

      This is in a ONT mode. Basically it's the fiber modem. You need a router to make a network happen.

    • @VKCGIRLXY

      The 5500 ont ie smartnid. Does not have wps button. Your wifi solution may provide that. QF 1700 wifi 7 pod does not offer wps so you will need to manually connect to your wifi devices with the wifi ssid and password.

      The gateway on the wall is installed by Quantum. You pay nothing for it. No rental fees whatsoever. That is as far as bringing you their service goes. Use this link, and get an extra $100 credit aklam.io/w1U6Ld You are responsible for "spreading" that said service in the form of Wi-Fi. To do so, you can rent their expensive pods at $15 a month plus taxes. I refuse that because after 15 months, if I buy my own, I would have paid them off. It's a simple NO BRAINER. Did a video on them here--->ua-cam.com/video/UFuTZ-XBxuw/v-deo.html and here is a DISCOUNT link to them---> amzn.to/3jvqlZl

      The terminal is not a modem, therefore, they don’t charge you for it.
      All the terminal really does is translate fiber to a basic WAN and LAN.
      Same as if you rented commercial real estate in an office building; which would come with the same setup to your network closet.

    What if you have more than one computer that needs to be hooked up? Xfinity gateway has multiple Ethernet plug ins.

    • @SaveGreenHere
      @SaveGreenHere  Рік тому +2

      It also costs 4 times as much. Most are ok with having one Ethernet plug in on a gateway. Most users are ok with having one port and paying 1/4 of the Xfinity cost. Plus, Xfinity does not even come near the upload speeds of Quantum. The fastest they have, as of now is 15 Mbps upload speeds. Use this link, and get an extra $100 credit aklam.io/w1U6Ld
