Crazy is when I 1st got it I tried like 10 spots in my house looking for the best connection. Once I found that spot I was still only averaging around 100mb download speeds. I used one of the cell locater apps and saw there was a tmobile tower south of my. I kept My modem in the exact same spot and just turned it to face that tower and now I'm averaging 350mb download. It’s called “network management”. It only matters when the network is congested. We also have an M3000 T-Mobile 5G MiFi device that is NOT network managed. IF we experience slow down (which is rare), we can just switch over and keep streaming.
Funny T-Mobile is on their 3rd gateway in such a short period of time. About 2 years ago i got their home internet with the silver trash can gateway and the first couple days were great at 100mbps or so. By the 4th day it could do no better than single digits up and down. Ended up cancelling and taking the gateway back. I might be tempted to try again with this 3rd gateway but id need to put it near my network gear as i have my home wired with Ethernet. Can this new gateway be adapted for external antennas like the silver trash can could?
It looks like there are after market antennae. I don't use them. I suppose I'm using the 3rd gateway tower. My gaming pc is hooked in with ethernet cable, all other devices wifi. I routinely get over 100m even at peak times 14 upload at least. In early morning I get 400m down and 40 up

In early morning I get 400m down and 40 up
@@PittsburghPat welp, next time Comcast tries to extort more money out of me I'll give TMO another try. Just hope the new gateway can be rigged with my external antenna I left up from before. Wow i get super slow speeds after the 4th month with the black box upgrade . Everything buffers ,I'm so sick of it i broke down and bought a starlink and now I'm soooooo happy. It doesn't exist ,just smoke and mirrors but im sure someone here will call me a liar and claim they know all ,but unfortunately they will be incorrect.
I just started getting ads for Star link. What King of upload speeds are you getting?
Tmobile when I had it was only getting 10gb download with 60gb latency it sucked constant buffering, we went to Starlink and the speed test is off the charts super super fast , everything can stream at the same time. Biggest issue with tmobile is trying to get them to send you a return label and stop sending you bills for it . They've been sending a bill for 255.70 a month and they have the modem back
Connection says excellent but my internets still slow.
How slow?
I have had the T-Mobile service for a month, and I'm turning around and sending it back. The connection does not work on all of my devices. I have not been able to use my wireless printer in a month. Definitely sending it back
Printers are notoriously persnickety. You've probably tried this, but make sure both the printer and the device you are printing from are on the same network.
I'm having the same issue. My printer won't connect. Tech support told me that they could go in and change the MAC settings for me if I wanted to, but I had other issues I wanted to deal with first. I've never had a modem that I couldn't sign into and make all kinds of changes to settings in..They won't let you do so on these and it's a pita.
