It is a lavish villa. Not a lavishvilla. The reason why so many cultures have a flood story is easy to answer. It's because they copied each other's stories. And the origin of all the flood myths,to begin with, was most likely local flooding caused on a massive scale due to the glaciers melting. Also there's a hypothesis that one of the occurrences that caused flood myths was the filling of the Black Sea. The Black sea formed abruptly, as the bit of earth that separated the lower lying lands from the ocean suddenly burst or collapsed, due to erosion, or even seismic activity. To the people that lived in the area it would have seemed as if the whole world was suddenly swept away by a world spanning flood. And in a way that's what it was to them, their world. The only part of the world they knew was suddenly underwater. That could easily lead to many flood myths.

Word is that sylvium has been rediscovered. It's a yellow flower that looks like ragweed. A sheep herder discovered it on a mountain, his sheep absolutely love the stuff just like sheep did historically. They think it's the same plant. It would be incredibly valuable to science if verified. And likely we can figure out a way to cultivate it today.

As many scientists and articles there are saying something is, there are just as many saying it isn’t. Yes, there are a few subjects that are just time tested and observed to oblivion, where my assertion doesn’t ring true. However, that seems to be the exception and not the rule. It’s almost as if there are 6 billion different realities and sometimes we agree and sometimes we don’t. Objective reality isn’t as objective as I once thought it was. That can be scary to some people I think.

Regarding the Olmec Heads: The African theory is mostly proposed by afrocentrists (mostly, if not exclusively African American) after misinterpreting the facial features of the Olmecs and associating broad noses and full lips with African peoples. But seeing how the indigenous people around the region (Tabasco, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas) look, it is easy to know that the Olmecs, indeed, were constructed by the indigenous people living there. There's the wrong idea that all native americans look the same (As in, looking like the average North American indigenous), but the looks between indigenous people vary wildly across the continent, and full lips are extremely common in the indigenous people of southern Mesoamerica and Central America.

@@supahotnoodlesapx9588 All of these have to do with legacy theories done during the Abolitionist and Emancipation periods, and it's a pretty western perspective. There was ignorance about the details that we have today about the Mali, Kanem Bornu, Yoruba, Ethiopian, Nubian, and Bantu civilizations because Africa was still not fully colonized and archeology was not as good back then. Although Egypt did have a Nubian dynasty ruling it, this does not make Egypt a subsaharan civilization, just as Mexico being mostly ruled by spanish-descent white elites does not make it white majority (Mestizos had been the majority since the 17th Century).
The myths consist of equating Egypt specifically to African peoples to try to dispell the racist notions that "Black people were not able to create civilization, thus deserve to be enslaved" held by the Southern Christian white plantation owners to justify the enslavement; other myths such as the "mark of Cain" were created around the dark skin to justify enslavery too, considering Christian canon and church law have condemned slavery for a while now. The attempt was to convince the 19th century general masses that black people had been protagonists of civilization before, thus slavery had no option to exist.
We can look back and say "they are just human beings, wouldn't that be enough?" and the thing is that; our understanding of human rights and integrity is very recent. Back then, you needed to rely on some ancestral achievement to be considered worthy (like Greeks were in the Roman Empire). The equating of Egypt to black people was forgotten by everyone as new information came in... but black supremacists and the Nation of Islam mythos.
Why is Egypt relevant to the Olmec theory? Another way to attempt to assert black dignity in American society is to imply that they had been here before the white man did, instead of being carried through ships of slavery. And well, this is all a "cope". But it's a fair one even if dishonest. I think media should emphasize the intricancies, politics, and intrigue that happened in West Africa as much as other regions in the world before the presence of Europeans outside of Nubia and Ethiopia. A lot of African history is intricate enough to deserve extensive categories; but as long as there's racist euro-americans who believe Africans never had civilizations, there will be african americans who create self-assuring myths with dishonest evidence, similar to Nazi occultism and the cope that the German people felt against their Western neighbours.

I don't think the Pythia, or the Oracle of Delphi would use Oleander at all, to smoke or ingest otherwise, since it is so highly toxic, and not in a good or fun way either. Maybe Oleander was used somewhere in the ceremonials, but probably not to smoke or ingest. I suspect that the Pythia used something more along the lines of Atropa belladonna or Mandragora or Datura and/or another Solanaceous plant. Definitely something in that genus, most likely. If not those, then the fungus, Amanita muscaria, comes to mind as another substance or tool that the Pythia may have used for her divination purposes. All are native to the area and would have been well known and used by the Ancients. At least with those herbs and fungi, the Pythia would have hallucinated and had very colourful visions. When she was seemingly out of her mind, she would have begun making her predictions.
As far as the Holy Prepuce goes, I am betting that someone probably ate it. Some random Medieval monk or someone similar got a hold of it and thought it might give him direct access to Christ, so he ate it. I am kidding of course. But really, who knows for sure? That is definitely an odd and bizarre relic. Perhaps it is best that it did go missing long ago. Just found your channel and am now subscribed. Thank you!

Like every ship that brought books had it books copied for the library, thats why it was so close to the harbor. So yeah i dont think there was that much lost depending on how many texts were originals and copies respectively

50:35 the meteor makes a lot of sense 12,000 years ago I think. The old people way back, in my tribe, as well as orally passed down in tradition, believed the entire world began flooded with water. Only for Ocean Woman(creator) to grab the sea floor and raise it up, creating islands, land, ect. My people were nomadic, but we believe we cam from mountain Charleston(near Las Vegas). My sister, an anthropologist of our tribe, is unsure why we came down from the mountains, even tho the old people believed that creator dropped us there. Maybe the meteor impact caused floods, forced my people into the mountains, then when it all calmed, we came down?
