The florenzi one hurts the most imo. That’s the game taking over, no matter how much you press tackle or press sprint the game makes your player stop. Even though you’re holding the controller. You have no control on the video game and solely in my opinion you never will, no matter what you do, even if your in game mechanic settings are manual and not have it on assisted or anything, everything you do, doesn’t work. I genuinely can’t describe how much this game annoys me, I literally only play it to play with my favorite players, likeliness, leagues etc. but if you’re telling me attackers can defend better than actual fucking defenders on this game I’ll shake your hand in agreement because an attacker has more dynamic difficulty adjustment for “winning the ball” than pressing square to SLIDE into a tackle which never materializes, you’ll also know when you’re not meant to win, the game mechanics will instantly be against you, stupid passes the game plays for you even though you’ve aimed elsewhere, players don’t move, little players beating VAN DIJK to a header. Don’t get me started with goalkeepers, they’re as braindead as the people that created this video game franchise
I’m moving to nba 2K. 100% of the time if you are better and have good decision making, you will win. This game is pure shit and I’ve invested way too much into it to be dealing with this shit on the daily. Everyone at EA can go fuck themselves

It helps you get discipline, and also understand things and think logically: if this offering is not “offering” what I want, then it is not an offering at all. Therefore, I am not missing anything by not playing it, since playing it would not provide me with what I “miss”. Do I miss not being able to visit the moon? Poetically perhaps, but not really, since I know that, for the time being, it’s not a realistic possibility. Playing a good football game is just as unrealistic, so it’s just as fine: I play something else.
Playing the weekend league and I won my first 5 games no problems like I regularly do but what I’ve noticed in this fifa is since the first weekend league I’ve always lost my 6th and 7th game it’s like there’s an algorithm that I must lose my 6th and 7th game in Fut Champs , also what I’ve noticed is I completely dominate my opponent im up 3-0 and magically it’s like the opponent’s players have just been boosted and I lose 4-3 I can’t do anything to control it and it’s really frustrating I just want to prove my worth and show where I’m at in terms of skill level but I can’t do it because either I win a game by DDA or I lose a game by DDA this game has better potential if they turn that crap off
My first weekend league game this week him r9, cr7 and 9 other op players. Me hernan crespo this is a fair match up to ea. The guy celebrated after scoring with r9 as well. That long arse dance shite after he tapped it in. That team and he only beats me 6,5 I had to work for my goals though..
Your first mistake was going up 2-0 so early in the game. Not sure how you never noticed DDA/scripting is a thing but, when the AI realizes you're dominating a game early on, it lowers your stats and ups theirs. If you dominate possession/score too easily/win too much, it WILL hold you back and or make your players dumb, boost the other team, and make impossible plays happen to give an advantage. Btw, I love the fact that it scripted 3 goals, that's honestly EA's magic number. I've played enough games to figure out that that's almost always the goal difference when the script is at 100%. That and there will almost certainly be a kickoff/stoppage time goal. EA, it's in the script.
We've told you guys scripting, handicap, DDA or whatever you call it has been in the game since forever, first started in FIFA 13 my first FUT but it's been there before that. We've played FIFA for so long and EA think we can't tell a difference. BTW there's a thread on reddit talking about this specifically called "How to abuse momentum/scripting and de-tilt yourself" with an in-depth guide linking to the first post called "In depth guide on how to beat the dda/script/momentum". It's been tested to crazy results, it matches up with why people are dominating and losing their matches to players with low possession.

Weak foot with momentum is almost non existant. Weak players like neymar are destroying your tanky defenders. Im div 1, gold 1 player. Already sold the console after playing fifa for few years. It costs me way too much stress, stuff u are not under control. The way ea helps making draw goals, 45-90 minute goals is just disgusting. Sometimes i defend perfectly well against AI momentum, and if the game decides that enemy has to score, your players will get push away from the balls making empty tunnel for the attacker. Now im playing Lol and its still super competetive, requires skill and when im losing its becouse i was shiet or my teammates were shit. NOT THE GAME. Consider what ive done and try to find something else to play :) This game at the current state is totally unplayable

Still u can get shitty teammates or some unlucky games, but its not like with fifa when skill often has nothing to do and its all about connection advantage + scripting in the game. Im former cs 1.6 player with some achievements and im missing that competetive feeling. Lol gives me that to the certain degree, which im fine with. Especially when im not 20 anymore and i dont have that hella lot of a time to play like i had. Everyone is different, some of my friends changed platform from cs 1.6 to global offensive and try to encourage me to play, but i just dont feel the same way. For me this game is plastic and is not skill based. Really hard to find a game nowadays that are skill based, do not look plastic. Wish kids nowadays know how it was back then, when we had starcraft 1, dota 1, cs 1.6, q3. Those were the games we could spend days playing without any brakes. Happens to me as well. After I take the lead, I can literally feel my players being slowed down by the algorithm and they make wrong pass, freaking goalkeeper hands the ball to the opponent, opponent’s goal keeper becomes a wall and so on. EA sucks. Hope everyone in their development team get struck by lightning. !!!
Just played a game of drafts where I had 16 shots 10 on target while my opponent had 3. Guess what? Lost 1-0 from a long shot while I missed open chances after open chances. His goalie had 13 saves and got MOTM. Dogshit game
Yesterday I had a fut champ game, first half I scored 3 goals i skipped all my goal. Out of nowhere 2 half the opponent scored 5 goals watched all his goals I raged quit I spit on my tv and almost broke the glass
This happens everytime I play more than 2 games in a session. This is pretty bad but I have experienced far worse and so have some people I know. I don't mind losing at all but this is just wrong
Pressed square to make a goal kick in 120 min. and it was a draw (2-2) and my goalie suddenly changed his mind and passed directly to my opponent (like I pressed X, but its really a square that I pressed) and he won. (FIFA 22) DDA exist. It is a patent signed and developed by EA in 2016. and they never published and commited to public that they are (and have been) using this shit throughout Fifas 17-22. It exist and behave like a sort of manipulation for not only game itself but most sadly, it affects a mind of a player. This is the perfect formula of how to get company bilions and bilions of dollars, but so brutal and evil that it almost acts like a Iluminati. Game is so good that millions of players are simply addicted to it, and if they lose they will do anything to win - spending tons and tons of real money on getting Fifa pacs in hope they will get like Maradona, Pele and some 99 rated shit, resulting "them being better at the game", at the game in which they have like a 60% impact to it, and chance of you getting those cards are 1% or below. DDA is the perfect formula to make company rich. It is the most manipulative and evil thing you will ever sence in video game world. They will never get rid of DDA cz it brings them money. Althrough, if you only play offline kick off with your friends like at party or something, this game is still top thing to pick for a footbal fan. And if you get drunk you forget about DDAs and shit so its fine looking from that aspect😂
Today I think my players had lunch before playing the game, they could not run! In addition that my goalkeeper is a ghost, the ball just goes through him like If I don’t have a goalkeeper!! And of course the opponent players were super heroes!!
I know..the opposition players suddenly turn to gods for no reason..I remember a game where I had 15 perfectly timed, perfectly well placed shots with the likes of Aguero and Mbappe and the opponent's GK saved them all.
In seasons ive had games where ive gotten multiple sending offs but still win by 2 goals, but then when im putting loads of shots on target and dominating possession i somehow lose 4-0
Scripting in fifa is 100% a real thing. So many bullshit moments where I defend beautifully and time my tackles to perfection but every time I tackle the ball it somehow just bounces back to one of his players and it just keeps happening until he gets a goal. Just yesterday I lost a game because my own player blocked Messi's shot on open goal... MY OWN PLAYER denied blocked my shot, now that is some bs
I'm a D1 player qith 140-12-58. Decent record i guess. Sometimes I dominate a game with 70% possesion and still lose or barley win. Then there's game that feel close that I win 2 or 3-0, 4-1. Then I lose 3-1 when I feel like im destroying somebody, but all off a sudden at 35th minute, he scores of 2 long balls and a cross. Is it me? Im I bad? Is the game bad? What us going on? This can't just be only me
Glad you finally realise there's scripting in the game! What I don't understand is why it took so long? The game is a scripted piece of shit, you don't win because your good, you win because game allows you and you lose because the game handicaps your team.
It's more so DDA than scripting, I guess (i worded the title poorly). And I was unsure because the gameplay is just inherently bad/inconsistent, so you can't always be sure if it's actually DDA or just the game being shit.
Yeah, this happens all the time. It's also in career mode. Momentum/DDA has been in all EA FIFA games for as long as I remember but it does seem much worse with each new release, probably to sell more packs? DDA gives your opponent a massive advantage when you score twice early and have >60% possession. There are lots of other scenarios where DDA will kick in, none of which makes much sense irl. You're not playing a football simulation, you're playing to beat the DDA. Utter nonsense. Grab PES 2020/21 while it still exists!
I was up 4-1 with 30 minutes left and my players turned to treacle. My striker on ‘get in behind’ instruction just walking up the pitch as I attack. I end up losing 5-4 with the last kick of the game. I had the ball with my keeper at his feet and he is all out attack and all my defenders are marked so I decide to hold the ball and wait for him to press me. I’m only touching the left analog stick and the game passes the ball to his striker, he scored and wins the game. I wasn’t near the buttons. I’ve had scripting a lot before but not like that, not the game passing for you. All his goals were bs but that was something else. I feel like I’m going mad 😂 GG EA.
It happens to me always, I was leading a match 6-2 and in the last 10 mins of the match I dont know what happened i lost 7-6 in the last 10 min of the match!
I've seen and experienced much worse than this. This morning, I lost a match where I dropped the pass back from my CAM to my CDM..and my CDM froze and watched it roll by...the dude ran onto it and took it and scored...that happened TWICE! Then my Dalglish missed an open net when I passed across goal...and THREE of my highlights were my shots off the post... I lost 3-2. FFS
I was face to face with the goal. Chest interception, and pressed run towards ball and shoot for a volley, guess what. My player stopped from running towards the ball just as much needed for the opposite player to get it from a top right corner goal to be 😬

I agree, I've noticed that in career mode, on world class I slap teams like arsenal 4-1 but then somehow I struggle to crystal palace, and their player just whips out a finesse shot from probably 30-35 yards out, I struggled so much in that game that I decided to simulate it, and guess what, I lost to 2-0 at home to crystal palace, as Aston villa, EA have ruined fifa.
Fifa 17 career mode, on Legendary. I can boss the CPU, 3-4 goals a game, sometimes as much as 6-8 against weaker teams. All players on form. Then bam.. my exemplary squad comes up against.. Southampton. Lol. How is it some mid table side is better than Man City all of a sudden. It's ridiculous. And the CPU literally cheats. Turn on hand balls. I had two penalties given against me, back to back. Defender jumps to header, literally punches the ball in front of him despite having a clear view all the way. Twice in a row. Gtfo 😂
Had a game where I scored 3 goals and was leading 3-1 and ended up losing the game 4-3 in the second half cause the game just gave him shot after shot whilst I’m trying multiple times to clear it after my players block his shots.
I hate being so negative and blaming the game, but it's frustrating when I lose (or win) and it's not my fault. I want the game's outcome to be because of me

Came up against a team with majority non rare gold players, my team was far superior, had vardy, Bruno, kante, etc and I literally got battered embarrassingly. Just felt like the game made my team trash so he had a fairer chance and didn’t get steam rolled. Same thing happened a few games later, non rare gold team with loan r9 and Ramos at the back. His Ruben loftus cheek turned into prime zidane bagging 2 goals and his r9 scoring 4. Hate how you can have a smooth game and then next it’s like your players just can’t be bothered turning up.
Ur right the game is programmed badly and that is why we see players handle certain situations very poorly. But what i dont understand is how players become shockingly slugish or gods all of a sudden. I cant feel it when im about to concede a goal, and i most certainly feel my players become gods at times and sluggish on other times. Its just crazy how this game plays. And this goes back to fifa 13 when i was 16 years old. I used to ask my self why my players were acting the way they did and was really confused... until i found it why, and they funny thing is that we ALL FEEL IT!
I was playing FIFA 21 in career mode. I had an 90 rated starting lineup, I simmed the game and lost 3-1 even tho I jumped in. PS the team was bottom in La Liga. They were literally playing like Gods and none of my tackles worked. I decided to jump to the end cuz it was abuse
Yeah.The same goes for me.I had Dortmund in Career Mode with every Player over an 86 rating but the dogshit Hamburger SV from the 2nd League in Germany just beat me 4-1 in the DFB-Cup even tho i jumped in too.They literally played like Prime Real Madrid and Barcelona combined and i had only 30% ball possesion.But when i play against Bayern than im winning 2-0 easily.Its just bullshit and very noticable especially when you play against Teams that are at the bottom of the league.

I've had worse I lost 2-1 in a game on fifa 22 when I went 1-0 up he scored 2 straight after 1 from kick off. I had 17 shots 12 on target he had 3 shots the whole game, I also had 65-70% possesion and hit the post 3 times and the crossbar once . I've never wanted to smash a controller so much in my life

Quit playing FIFA trust me life gets instantly better amigo. “Scripting” handicapping aids DDA it goes by many names we all feel it we all see it. And yes it happens on headers too. I played on 2 different accounts the wl with the same team. The game feels like a different game. Old account bronce 2... New Account gold 1. And this is no joke... Players act different and its not on me
i think alot of the scripting comes from the fact that the cpu is involved alot. it's trying to force realism. in the early days of ea sports games the cpu really just stood around in a perfect formation. handicapping and scripting are two separate things. handicapping is where your players feel very sluggish, your passes frequently underhit, switching player intrusive, etc.
Many times i know when im playing against my opponent and EA scripting and i also know when EA is helping me win too . This is the worst fifa i have ever played. Other times i can admit when my opponents is better than me

I had times when 2 of my players stand right beside each other in side of the field. While my opponents are making crazy runs into the box. Its manageable. Every time DDA, handicap, scrip or whatever u call the BS EA do, and they do, because there is money involved: ball possession. Keep the ball at all time. When the opponent do not have the ball he can't score. No matter how much EA systems are fucking up that match.
Scripting is there, 100%. Playing career mode on legendary, beat the best teams.. a battle, but doable. Get on a winning streak. Then bam, some mid-table team becomes impossible to beat. Seems many people have noticed the same pattern too. It also happens in Cup games, some dogshit division team suddenly is playing a magnitude better than they ever should, to try and emulate those real world upsets. Turn off the PS4 for a week or so, then end up beating that team 8-0 on first try. I refuse to believe that's just being 'fresh', the game obviously knows you haven't played and makes it easier to retain your future play time. I've had defenders punch the ball when attempting to header, literally reaching out in front of them not above, with clear view and unchallenged. I've had the CPU shift its attacker sideways whilst its foot is planted on the ground, the moment before my sliding tackle connects so I concede the foul - of course it's slide tackles are always perfect despite the animation sometimes not matching the predetermined outcome!! Then there's the ball physics, clearances that go straight to players or end up right on the throw in line (how convenient). Impossibly accurate passes. 180 degree spin passes. I can't believe EA has the nerve to bullshit people about there being no scripting. Just fuck off with that shit.

here's my 2 pennies worth - Perhaps "scripting" per sey is the wrong term to use as I believe the games are not pre-meditated BUT are definitely manipulated on the fly in attempt to be 'realistic' EG you go 2-0 up and find that things become a little more challenging, passes start to go astray, players seem slower, the oppo are stringing more attacks together etc" It is this AND ONLY this that EA need to remove from the game, why? Because then the game becomes a familiar story, ie teams that are 0-2 down start to try harder, come back into the game, get more chances etc......this is where EA have it all wrong . Leave the game alone. Do not influence more chances, blocking etc....this needs to be 100% down to the player and not a 50/50 combo - stop trying to simulate real life because its this that is breaking the gameplay, leave it in the hands of the players because at the moment unless you play to the meta or play the game in how it WANTS YOU to play - you will more often than not lose
Yes, i agree. Scripting is a bad term, but more so it's DDA. It's impossible to completely "script" a game. I just want a game where I don't have to abuse mechanics, that's it. The simple things should be "meta", like scoring a 1v1 or making a simple pass

Your first mistake was going up 2-0 so early in the game. Not sure how you never noticed DDA/scripting is a thing but, when the AI realizes you're dominating a game early on, it lowers your stats and ups theirs. If you dominate possession/score too easily/win too much, it WILL hold you back and or make your players dumb, boost the other team, and make impossible plays happen to give an advantage.
Btw, I love the fact that it scripted 3 goals, that's honestly EA's magic number. I've played enough games to figure out that that's almost always the goal difference when the script is at 100%. That and there will almost certainly be a kickoff/stoppage time goal. EA, it's in the script.

We've told you guys scripting, handicap, DDA or whatever you call it has been in the game since forever, first started in FIFA 13 my first FUT but it's been there before that. We've played FIFA for so long and EA think we can't tell a difference. BTW there's a thread on reddit talking about this specifically called "How to abuse momentum/scripting and de-tilt yourself" with an in-depth guide linking to the first post called "In depth guide on how to beat the dda/script/momentum". It's been tested to crazy results, it matches up with why people are dominating and losing their matches to players with low possession.

Weak foot with momentum is almost non existant. Weak players like neymar are destroying your tanky defenders. Im div 1, gold 1 player. Already sold the console after playing fifa for few years. It costs me way too much stress, stuff u are not under control. The way ea helps making draw goals, 45-90 minute goals is just disgusting. Sometimes i defend perfectly well against AI momentum, and if the game decides that enemy has to score, your players will get push away from the balls making empty tunnel for the attacker. Now im playing Lol and its still super competetive, requires skill and when im losing its becouse i was shiet or my teammates were shit. NOT THE GAME. Consider what ive done and try to find something else to play :) This game at the current state is totally unplayable

Still u can get shitty teammates or some unlucky games, but its not like with fifa when skill often has nothing to do and its all about connection advantage + scripting in the game. Im former cs 1.6 player with some achievements and im missing that competetive feeling. Lol gives me that to the certain degree, which im fine with. Especially when im not 20 anymore and i dont have that hella lot of a time to play like i had. Everyone is different, some of my friends changed platform from cs 1.6 to global offensive and try to encourage me to play, but i just dont feel the same way. For me this game is plastic and is not skill based. Really hard to find a game nowadays that are skill based, do not look plastic. Wish kids nowadays know how it was back then, when we had starcraft 1, dota 1, cs 1.6, q3. Those were the games we could spend days playing without any brakes. Happens to me as well. After I take the lead, I can literally feel my players being slowed down by the algorithm and they make wrong pass, freaking goalkeeper hands the ball to the opponent, opponent’s goal keeper becomes a wall and so on. EA sucks. Hope everyone in their development team get struck by lightning. !!!

Just played a game of drafts where I had 16 shots 10 on target while my opponent had 3. Guess what? Lost 1-0 from a long shot while I missed open chances after open chances. His goalie had 13 saves and got MOTM. Dogshit game

DDA exist. It is a patent signed and developed by EA in 2016. and they never published and commited to public that they are (and have been) using this shit throughout Fifas 17-22. It exist and behave like a sort of manipulation for not only game itself but most sadly, it affects a mind of a player. This is the perfect formula of how to get company bilions and bilions of dollars, but so brutal and evil that it almost acts like a Iluminati. Game is so good that millions of players are simply addicted to it, and if they lose they will do anything to win - spending tons and tons of real money on getting Fifa pacs in hope they will get like Maradona, Pele and some 99 rated shit, resulting "them being better at the game", at the game in which they have like a 60% impact to it, and chance of you getting those cards are 1% or below.
DDA is the perfect formula to make company rich. It is the most manipulative and evil thing you will ever sence in video game world. They will never get rid of DDA cz it brings them money.
Althrough, if you only play offline kick off with your friends like at party or something, this game is still top thing to pick for a footbal fan. And if you get drunk you forget about DDAs and shit so its fine looking from that aspect😂
Today I think my players had lunch before playing the game, they could not run! In addition that my goalkeeper is a ghost, the ball just goes through him like If I don’t have a goalkeeper!! And of course the opponent players were super heroes!!

Just yesterday I lost a game because my own player blocked Messi's shot on open goal... MY OWN PLAYER denied blocked my shot, now that is some bs
I'm a D1 player qith 140-12-58. Decent record i guess. Sometimes I dominate a game with 70% possesion and still lose or barley win. Then there's game that feel close that I win 2 or 3-0, 4-1. Then I lose 3-1 when I feel like im destroying somebody, but all off a sudden at 35th minute, he scores of 2 long balls and a cross. Is it me? Im I bad? Is the game bad? What us going on? This can't just be only me

What I don't understand is why it took so long? The game is a scripted piece of shit, you don't win because your good, you win because game allows you and you lose because the game handicaps your team.
It's more so DDA than scripting, I guess (i worded the title poorly). And I was unsure because the gameplay is just inherently bad/inconsistent, so you can't always be sure if it's actually DDA or just the game being shit.
Yeah, this happens all the time. It's also in career mode. Momentum/DDA has been in all EA FIFA games for as long as I remember but it does seem much worse with each new release, probably to sell more packs? DDA gives your opponent a massive advantage when you score twice early and have >60% possession. There are lots of other scenarios where DDA will kick in, none of which makes much sense irl. You're not playing a football simulation, you're playing to beat the DDA. Utter nonsense. Grab PES 2020/21 while it still exists!

I was up 4-1 with 30 minutes left and my players turned to treacle. My striker on ‘get in behind’ instruction just walking up the pitch as I attack. I end up losing 5-4 with the last kick of the game. I had the ball with my keeper at his feet and he is all out attack and all my defenders are marked so I decide to hold the ball and wait for him to press me. I’m only touching the left analog stick and the game passes the ball to his striker, he scored and wins the game. I wasn’t near the buttons. I’ve had scripting a lot before but not like that, not the game passing for you. All his goals were bs but that was something else. I feel like I’m going mad 😂 GG EA.
It happens to me always, I was leading a match 6-2 and in the last 10 mins of the match I dont know what happened i lost 7-6 in the last 10 min of the match!
I've seen and experienced much worse than this.
This morning, I lost a match where I dropped the pass back from my CAM to my CDM..and my CDM froze and watched it roll by...the dude ran onto it and took it and scored...that happened TWICE!
Then my Dalglish missed an open net when I passed across goal...and THREE of my highlights were my shots off the post...

I agree, I've noticed that in career mode, on world class I slap teams like arsenal 4-1 but then somehow I struggle to crystal palace, and their player just whips out a finesse shot from probably 30-35 yards out, I struggled so much in that game that I decided to simulate it, and guess what, I lost to 2-0 at home to crystal palace, as Aston villa, EA have ruined fifa.
Fifa 17 career mode, on Legendary. I can boss the CPU, 3-4 goals a game, sometimes as much as 6-8 against weaker teams. All players on form. Then bam.. my exemplary squad comes up against.. Southampton. Lol. How is it some mid table side is better than Man City all of a sudden. It's ridiculous.
And the CPU literally cheats. Turn on hand balls. I had two penalties given against me, back to back. Defender jumps to header, literally punches the ball in front of him despite having a clear view all the way. Twice in a row. Gtfo 😂
Had a game where I scored 3 goals and was leading 3-1 and ended up losing the game 4-3 in the second half cause the game just gave him shot after shot whilst I’m trying multiple times to clear it after my players block his shots.

Came up against a team with majority non rare gold players, my team was far superior, had vardy, Bruno, kante, etc and I literally got battered embarrassingly. Just felt like the game made my team trash so he had a fairer chance and didn’t get steam rolled. Same thing happened a few games later, non rare gold team with loan r9 and Ramos at the back. His Ruben loftus cheek turned into prime zidane bagging 2 goals and his r9 scoring 4. Hate how you can have a smooth game and then next it’s like your players just can’t be bothered turning up.
Ur right the game is programmed badly and that is why we see players handle certain situations very poorly. But what i dont understand is how players become shockingly slugish or gods all of a sudden. I cant feel it when im about to concede a goal, and i most certainly feel my players become gods at times and sluggish on other times. Its just crazy how this game plays. And this goes back to fifa 13 when i was 16 years old. I used to ask my self why my players were acting the way they did and was really confused... until i found it why, and they funny thing is that we ALL FEEL IT!
I was playing FIFA 21 in career mode. I had an 90 rated starting lineup, I simmed the game and lost 3-1 even tho I jumped in.
PS the team was bottom in La Liga. They were literally playing like Gods and none of my tackles worked. I decided to jump to the end cuz it was abuse

I've had worse I lost 2-1 in a game on fifa 22 when I went 1-0 up he scored 2 straight after 1 from kick off. I had 17 shots 12 on target he had 3 shots the whole game, I also had 65-70% possesion and hit the post 3 times and the crossbar once . I've never wanted to smash a controller so much in my life

Quit playing FIFA trust me life gets instantly better amigo. “Scripting” handicapping aids DDA it goes by many names we all feel it we all see it. And yes it happens on headers too. i think alot of the scripting comes from the fact that the cpu is involved alot. it's trying to force realism. in the early days of ea sports games the cpu really just stood around in a perfect formation. handicapping and scripting are two separate things. handicapping is where your players feel very sluggish, your passes frequently underhit, switching player intrusive, etc.
I will say, it may or may not be "more or less" but just the fact it's more assisted. That's why it feels so much worse

Its manageable. Every time DDA, handicap, scrip or whatever u call the BS EA do, and they do, because there is money involved: ball possession. Keep the ball at all time. When the opponent do not have the ball he can't score. No matter how much EA systems are fucking up that match.

Scripting is there, 100%. Playing career mode on legendary, beat the best teams.. a battle, but doable. Get on a winning streak. Then bam, some mid-table team becomes impossible to beat. Seems many people have noticed the same pattern too. It also happens in Cup games, some dogshit division team suddenly is playing a magnitude better than they ever should, to try and emulate those real world upsets.
Turn off the PS4 for a week or so, then end up beating that team 8-0 on first try. I refuse to believe that's just being 'fresh', the game obviously knows you haven't played and makes it easier to retain your future play time.
I've had defenders punch the ball when attempting to header, literally reaching out in front of them not above, with clear view and unchallenged. I've had the CPU shift its attacker sideways whilst its foot is planted on the ground, the moment before my sliding tackle connects so I concede the foul - of course it's slide tackles are always perfect despite the animation sometimes not matching the predetermined outcome!!
Then there's the ball physics, clearances that go straight to players or end up right on the throw in line (how convenient). Impossibly accurate passes. 180 degree spin passes.
I can't believe EA has the nerve to bullshit people about there being no scripting. Just fuck off with that shit.

here's my 2 pennies worth - Perhaps "scripting" per sey is the wrong term to use as I believe the games are not pre-meditated BUT are definitely manipulated on the fly in attempt to be 'realistic' EG you go 2-0 up and find that things become a little more challenging, passes start to go astray, players seem slower, the oppo are stringing more attacks together etc" It is this AND ONLY this that EA need to remove from the game, why? Because then the game becomes a familiar story, ie teams that are 0-2 down start to try harder, come back into the game, get more chances etc......this is where EA have it all wrong . Leave the game alone. Do not influence more chances, blocking etc....this needs to be 100% down to the player and not a 50/50 combo - stop trying to simulate real life because its this that is breaking the gameplay, leave it in the hands of the players because at the moment unless you play to the meta or play the game in how it WANTS YOU to play - you will more often than not lose
