Got to say I’m impressed , trouble is I just could never remember that , Watched your video three times, gone in one ear and out the other, each to their own. I’m a bit like that when it comes to knots As well. Enjoy the video well done
Great video! Looks like a gunyah, but the 2nd pole would normally be 1 tieout further rather than the corner in that case. Amazing how versatile and flexible these shelters can be!
Yet another excellent video! That's surely a terrific mindset to have flexible options for your tarp setup and it was interesting to see that you could 'switch' this set-up (I suppose) either way according to the weather. I too like the KISS approach to set-ups and kit 👍
I Like the look of this jb,one ill try with the dd. Thanks for shsring it with us. How about one for over the top of the dutch army tent, with a porch/overhang using poles. I have ordered a dutch army tent(finally) Maybe basha poles/walking poles are not long enough tho. All the best.
if u wantextra tie outs on tarp sumwer there aint one. a knotted string n sum duktape will let you put one almost anywhere... its that last side down bit i see recently .. higher u set pole narrower entrance is t keep rain ect out or seal d three corners gether like other set ups seen
Very cool setup Allen, like the open view, but if the weather turns, can drop the side ,but still loads of room, was this a 3x3 tarp?, also, a bit more of an irregular shape, strange angles etc, with some netting added, very stealthy I bet, more so that a A frame or plough point etc, good health and safe travels my friend, cheers craig
I was watching a gentleman on a certain American channel, doing a 2-tarp setup which seemed quite impressive. But it looked like an awful lot of complicated faffing about with ridge lines and guy lines and a long pole.
this ones popular at min or close varients of it.. waiting try itmyself nx wk after seeing already sumwer im 5,2 tho s nuf room in a 3x3 or 4x4 tarp lol adarondak varient i think
Bloody good idea with the little change at the end, i worry about the wind changing direction in the night and it raining inside the shelter.

I practiced at home with some kitchen roll. 😂
Great configuration, it seems to give a lot of cover and weather protection. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching!
Practical, simple. Like your final setup the best. Maybe a poncho for the floor.
Great idea!

Great idea Al. Think it should be called the JB-Tarp set-up.
I am sure its been done before, just not by me. 😁
You're a great teacher! Subscribed!
Thanks and welcome. If you like this sort of thing, you will find about 10 different tarp setup videos on the channel.

Thank you very much James. I always keep it simple, then I can do it in the dark or if very tired without much thinking.
@@jim-bob-outdoors Aye, that's when it really counts!
Really like the video, it makes me want to get out in nature 😊.. had a walk in the woods today, but no nights yet.
It will happen in the end. 👍
@@jim-bob-outdoors Im sure it will.. I got all the gears.. bought for ”camping”.. but in reallity bought for stealth/wild camping 😆
Good setup mate, keep the rain off! Hope all well .
Doing ok thanks.
Thanks JB. Great vid. Enjoy
Glad you enjoyed it
yep think first one is called The Allen. Looking like nice Home for the night.
😁👍
That's a nice set up - I'm gonna give it a go. Mark
Dont think its anything new Mark, just something I wanted to try. I quite like the idea.

Always handy to have a tarp or even a small poncho. Can always have a dry space outside the tent.
Nice👌
Awesome vid
Thanks Dave.

You know me mate, I like to keep things simple.
The JBP -01 &2? although it's not a true plough point.
Someone's done it before I am sure. Its just something I have never tried.
the first one was a modified plow point.
Nice tarp setup. I was wondering if that's 3x3 (10x10) tarp?
Yes, it is James, 3x3 meter.

@@jim-bob-outdoors better than a 3x but omg the price of a dd camo one now :( grabbed a tan sometime ago
Gunyah tarp shelter.
nice video, but that shelter is not new. i make this since years.
Its just new to me. I did say in the video that others have probly done the same.
@@jim-bob-outdoors Sorry, I didn't hear that.
