I've had some decent success with the ems turret along with eagles and orbitals instead of stun grenades, I would love to know if you have tried it and if so what u think
@@Damglador Well in this he had to still voice over and not every recorded game is a game worth watching or one that hell do successfully. I think there's an opportunity for the devs to remake this mission type to be far more fun. I'd try something like making a long rectangular map with automatons dropping at one end and having to push up on a fortified position. Just getting pancaked and teamkilled by friendly stratagems for 15 minutes and hoping you kill enough isn't that enjoyable.
The eradicate missions are awful, i hope it gets reworked to more of a defend an area/king of the hill. Running circles dropping airstrikes all game is just boring, would love to actually see defensive stratagems have some use but turrets with 3 minute cooldown and 30 second uptime are just a straight miss.
this also would not be fun unfortunately. Everybody would plop down 4 sentries and watch them rip for 15 minutes straight while proning behind some cover... it'd just be like the original mortar hell version of this mission.
The first map has an even easier way to accomplish it. If you die next to one of those big flat rocks that are against the exterior wall, you can land your hellpod on top of those pillars and the bots have no way to reach you. The gas strike has a super short cooldown and you can just keep dropping that down as the bot gather below you to try to reach you. I'm not certain, but I think with a jet pack you *might* be able to get on top if you first get on the wall itself. I haven't tried doing that yet, I just use my first death as a setup for the rest of the mission. On the second mission I haven't yet found a spot that the bots can't reach you
on the second map their is a ledge on the other side of a invincible wall you can get to then lie down by climbing over the low part, if you have a shield back then explosives wont (most of the time) knock you of the edge letting you stay their safe for basically the entire mission (though tanks can sometimes clip through the wall and hurt you with their tracks).
Yeah, but camping on a rock isn't convincingly winning. It's a cheap spot. What I like what he did here was prove that It was possible without using any cheap tricks, just good loadout usage only.
@@godoftsukuyomi7480 yeah its definitely a cheese strat, i expect at some point they will probably stop you landing on top of the rocks you can only get to by hellpod
@@godoftsukuyomi7480 using terrain to your advantage isn't a "cheap trick". Is using a jet back to get on up of terrain where most bugs can't reach you a check trick? He's literally using a glitch to get over a wall, but you consider landing on terrain that gives you an advantage a bad thing?
I was one of the comments requesting you to do this mission on automatons I’m so glad to see you pull this off. I’ve been able to do this at most on Difficulty 7. Glad to see we have a similar strategy. I was using Airstrike, Orbital Gas, Autocannon, and Shield Generator. I figured using low cooldown stratgems was the best bet
Watching your vids makes me realize how much more I have to improve on. I cleared my first solo LVL 8 the other day after many many tries. One day I'll get to the point I where I can clear an eradicate mission solo.
Lvl 126 ape here, been watching your videos for a while, also been playing helldivers 2 non-stop on helldive for hundreds of hours now while on PTO Had issues with this mission for the longest time until I ran meme loadouts and things just, CLICKED and it wasnt a joke loadout anymore. Its how I did it on the creek before they made the eradicate missions easier. The way that was the most consistent for me, was to run the more reinforcements booster(OR hellpod space optimization for stims to kite with), bring barrages, mines, and using the traitor artillery as much as possible LOL. Armour for me is always democracy protects, 50% chance to not die from ANY source of lethal damage is ridiculously overpowered combined with pre-stimming You wanna grab 380mm barrage, walking barrage, 120mm barrage, and the minefield. Hilariously enough I get the most kills from the minefield which just get yeeted off cooldown towards the centre of the map. If you only have 3 strategems, ditch the 120 barrage. 90% of people playing this mission ARE NOT good enough to finish it without dying,so support weapons and backpacks are detrimental to you due to the the sheer amount of bots which will ABSOLUTELY eventually cut you off from your stuff. Which leads to wasted slots in the VAST majority of the playerbase. 90% of people playing this mission ARE NOT good enough to finish it without dying, and death CANT take your barrages and mines away. DO NOT throw them too early. Dont even stop to kill anything, just focus on surviving long enough for elites to spawn in, which is where all of your kills are going to come from on helldive. If you can't kite them, or you run low on reinforcements, there are safe-ish spots on EVERY eradicate map(Middle of the tall rocks,on the edge behind the safety stone, outside the playable area etc). I typically sit in them until a few minutes pass, and the elites spawn in en-masse. After that I yeet 380, 120 and walking barrages in succession. Mines get chucked off cooldown as soon as I have them. If I cant get to the spot in time, or everything goes wrong, I use the traitor artillery. You can literally outrun it, and find angles where it CANNOT hit you along the edge. Its hilarious. If you are feeling like a giga-chad, run democracy protects armour, hellpod space optimization, and the supply pack with the SOLE GOAL of running around the edge of the map, constantly stimming for stamina and tankiness while under fire from traitor artillery. Once you practice it a bit, and know where the safe spots are, it LITERALLY becomes the most boring and easiest automaton mission you can do.
I just cheese high ground rocks for safety and kill most stuff with stratagems. There's only one map with no rocks, but you can still hide behind a high ground wall on the south of that map. - 380mm barrage (send it on your feet as it 'almost' never lands on the middle) best kill count stratagem, - 120mm barrage (send it 50m+, you can't gamble that one), - Eagle airstrike to get rid of tanks that WILL dislodge you : once their main cannon goes through a texture (= your rock), they will shoot through it. Annihilators won't get a direct hit, but the explosion right under you will throw you away. Shredders somehow can hit you, and they kill pretty much instantly... If you like high ground, get rid of tanks. No tanks? Kill packs, profit. - 500kg last if there's no -1 stratagem. Since you are using cliffs/high ground rocks, 500kg will land on your face (instead of your lower ground target) if not sent far enough (or by turning so the angle where is comes from is ideal). Same purpose as airstrike, just more limited. Barrages are love, barrages are life. And Eagles shout to democracy along them.
This, x4 helldivers unironically. It's gotten a Helldiver Eradicate done in record time. Sure you die occasionally to friendly fire, but better than giving bots kills.
Wayyy easier way to do both of these. For the first map, the set of rocks near the crane can be climbed up onto at the base of the rock closest to the little gate thing. From there they can’t really do anything against you. In terms of the second map, you can get on top of the bottom-back “bump” thing of the tower, then prone out and chill. You have to be mindful of your sides as tanks and rockets can displace you, but other than that you are pretty safe and can just use strategems. If the map spawns with no tower, either doing laps or proning out on top of the platform where the breakable tower plume thing next to the lower left landing pad.
3:57 I like to start off by holding the little area to the left in this frame. I run Dominator (for the stagger vs Zerker bots) / Autocannon / Stun grenades. You can hold off for quite a while in this location, and I usually save an Airstrike right before I am forced out. Gets me a great start, anyway! :)
I think the Orbital Laser would be a great fit for these missions with its high power and the ability to seek the enemies which makes it less RNG heavy
Theres SO MANY that spawn in on such a small map that the laser's directed anger doesnt matter, while being fairly wasteful compared to barrages Not saying that its BAD, but im saying that the RNG is VERY in your favor when the ENTIRE MAP is covered in bots
10:47 If you hold that area with mortar & emp mortar. You only need autocannon and hold only 1-2 sides from the enemy 20:12 you see that wall? Hide behind there with a shield pack then throw mortar & EMPs below you but NOT TOO CLOSE THE EDGE it will kill you.
I dislike the way the first map plays. Really takes you out of the experience whenever you’re just doing laps around the map, it feels videogamey to the extreme. It’s like that base defense scene in ST, but the bugs come from inside the base so they may as well go jogging around the actual fortress rather than… defending it? That or keep reinforcing every 30s until extract if you want to stay inside because everything has an angle on you and it snowballs and goes to shit as soon as one person dies lol
@verleptehenk I'm not sure I haven't been following the patch notes too closely but the cool down time is one of the shortest of all stratagems and it clears out entire packs minus hulks but does a lot of damage to them. Same with chargers it will make them start spitting blood out of their mouth.
@AC-hj9tv yeah probably depends on playstyle. Ems orbital is pretty strong too but you need another strike to pair with it if it's not just an escape tool to create distance.
Nice video just completed this solo myself and your completely correct keep circling the map also use smokes 100% and obrbital laser /walking barrage/500kg/💪
Been liking the Jar over the scorcher recently for bots. You do need the AC for the striders (you don't but it's easier) but it gets the other bots easier i feel.
23:54 you can force climb with dedicated keybind (L.alt for me). Even when you are not close enough for climb to go through, it should refresh pathfinding for auto climb.
You can force a free 380 barrage from sitting out of bounds for 10 seconds. It came in clutch once for me in a solo eradicate. I need to do some testing but, it tends to strike in front of where you are running, so if you constantly change directions it doesn't seem to ever hit. I survived way longer than I thought I would from it.
I just wonder how your reticle manages to stay consistently accurate. Every time I snapshot like that, the reticle is all over the place, even with the scorcher. How tf does he does it?!
the guard rover instead of the autocannon would have been pretty sweet. It helps a lot with the smaller guys and passively kills enemies around you or behind you without you worrying to much about them. It even flyes higher that the edge walls of the map and helps getting those kills.
a good loadout is orbital laser, 380mm barrage, 120mm barrage, and precision strike or 500kg bomb. All your favourite big strikes are good actually. As you said, it's a matter of surviving while your strikes do the job.
I use the EAT for this exact strat. It helps because whenever its available I use it to spread all over so if I die there's always one waiting at every turn and sometimes I use them to land on enemies as a cheap missile attack👍
Pre-patches, when I played a lvl. 8 solo Eradication mission, I had similar conclusions: Bring a Barrage, avoid the center of the map, run around the edges of the map and kite enemies. Use the eagles or other stratagems to keep the enemy at bay while the barrage is on cooldown and immediately throw it in the cluster of enemies. Idk if there a way to do this without one barrage or eagle stratagem in solo play.
These missions become almost trivially easy if you bring walking barrage, 110 barrage, 380 barrage and another mass destruction orbital (say: laser). I agree with others here: it would be great if they would make this more of a tower defense where bots must fight through some wall, from just one direction.
If you got the pillar map, anyone willing to go prone and land on them can solo this mission with a set of bombardments of your choice. The other map tho will involve a lot of dying.
By the way when youre near the edge of the map with low ammo, low health and no stims with a little rock to cover behind its worth using the traitor stratagem. If youre going to die anyway may as well see how many the traitor barrage kills first 🤣
i was thinking a cool strat might be to spam minefields in the center where you won't be anyway, also the orbital gas bomb could be nice since it ignores armor and has a short CD
380 and air strike yes for sure, also if this is your play style id take the resupply pack too, more ammo for your thirsty primary and many stims and grenades. Not sure what support weapon to take since HMG would be best if it wasn't for the stationary reload which wouldnt work for this style so maybe just another stratagem, maybe even an EMS mortar...
Have to disagree about the Eagel Cluster strike. They can take out a Hulk or tank with 2-3 uses. You can kill so many regular bots and devastators with them at the same time and they have a huge AOE. Always bring them along with barrages and even the laser when they're really bunched up.
The biggest problems with these eradicate missions is that the maps are way, way too small, and it spams you with constant swarms of enemies giving no chance to pause for a moment and recompose yourself. If these two issues are addressed, then the eradicate missions would be so much better instead of the cluster-fuck slaughter-fest it is right now
Would've definitely ran stun grenades if I brought auto cannon, but I'm not even sure if support weapons are worth running on eradicate missions anymore especially against bugs
Since the fire damage buff, I've been noticing a lot of deaths from burning when there was no fire. Do the small automatons explode with fire damage if you kill them too close to yourself? I've also been seeing a lot of times where apparently I killed myself when just traversing the world.
Yes, the assault troopers' jetpacks can explode and will set you on fire if you're near. Since the fire damage buff this can very easily kill a healthy helldiver instantly.
They probably won’t but if the automatons are 100% removed I’m going to be kind of sad. I find them more fun to fight than the bugs especially after that update that nerfed their rockets in the ground. R.I.P automations if the devs truly remove them.
if we wipe them it's likely they'll be gone til bugs are also eradicated, then the war resets. That's what happened in helldivers 1. Perhaps they'll do it differently this time round though, hopefully we'll find out in the next couple of days!
Automatons will probably be gone for awhile, but I imagine the war will speed up once they're gone, and the Terminids will drop within a couple weeks afterwards.
lol, why would they remove half of the video game? Anybody expecting the devs to cut all of these unique art assets and enemy behaviors out of the game (after multiple years of development) must be delusional.
Dominator I think is bugged vs Scout walkers. If they fix it and it handles them, it beats the scorcher hands down. Right now its just a trade, scorcher does striders but sucks at shield devastators ( Hit the shoulder vs hit where ever and stun lock ). Dom is better vs Chaff. Sickle owns both for speed and chaff killing...if you use the AC you just need a good chaff killer.
I enjoy watching these videos but I’m curious if you ever get bored playing solo. Every time I try to play solo I just enjoy the game less, I’m curious if that’s something other people feel or if I’m in the minority.
I'll recommend you to try to bring orbital gas strike, i saw it in action and it can do crazy things, not immediately like 500 kg, but even more after time
Orbital laser thrown near large group would have been better choice than pods at least for me but I did it with my brother and friend so was three of us so can't tell 100% how well would work alone but definitely better than 5 kill from pods at least
Just out of curiosity - you know you only contribute to planet conquest if you finish an operation? Single missions do nothing. NIce gameplay tho, I'll never have this good an aim :D
Man they really need to rework this mission or something. If they don't want players farming it like before, just reduce the exp and money and lower the spawns. Getting mobbed by 8 hulks and 5 tanks isn't fun.
Totally agree, I see this unavailability as something like protection from occasional use, but I really want to see at least an option to turn this protection off
Those times you threw the strategem and they dissapeared, I think you threw them out of the combat area. They don't activate if outside the combat area. Still, very well done!
Just curious… is this video showing you cheating the call downs or am I doing it wrong? On ps5 I have to use the d-pad to select the correct sequence for a given stratagem but you seem to not have that and are just directly calling them down with a macro or something. If you are cheating with a macro, please state that on video title so I won’t waste my time watching a video that doesn’t show the same game experience non-cheaters experience. Calling the strats when being gangbanged is literally the most stressful part of the game.
I'm quite sure it's possible to run and call stratagems simultaneously with gamepad, since I'm a PC player and I use my mouse wheel to call them while I run
You are aware when you abandon a campaign any missions you did have no impact on the liberation of the planet? Once campaigns are unlocked (level 3+), individual missions add no squad impact to the war effort… only the completed campaign adds to it.
Just realized ingame audio came out too low. Had it turned down from the stream, apologies!

I agree with others here: it would be great if they would make this more of a tower defense where bots must fight through some wall, from just one direction.
a lot of these moments demonstrate the importance of impact grenades almost just as much
I don't know how you do eradicate missions by yourself, great work
If you got the pillar map, anyone willing to go prone and land on them can solo this mission with a set of bombardments of your choice.
The other map tho will involve a lot of dying.
There is more than 2 maps for eradication, others are based on this 2, but actually different. Like there is a variation for the first one with tower
The orbital laser does work on these and the command bunkers
For devestators aim for the back pack over the shoulder or back.
By the way when youre near the edge of the map with low ammo, low health and no stims with a little rock to cover behind its worth using the traitor stratagem. If youre going to die anyway may as well see how many the traitor barrage kills first 🤣
Cluster bomb is pretty good on these missions. I usually get 10+ kills when I chuck them over a random wall so about 50 kills before rearm.
i was thinking a cool strat might be to spam minefields in the center where you won't be anyway, also the orbital gas bomb could be nice since it ignores armor and has a short CD
Have you tried the jar yet. It's wonky at longer ranges but it absolutely slaps against bots
You should try the mortar sentry, absolutely shreds automatons especially during the downtime when they are trying to get around the map
Big Shield bubble plus bombardment is hilarious on these
The biggest problems with these eradicate missions is that the maps are way, way too small, and it spams you with constant swarms of enemies giving no chance to pause for a moment and recompose yourself. If these two issues are addressed, then the eradicate missions would be so much better instead of the cluster-fuck slaughter-fest it is right now
17:00 "and that's my dog" killed me for some reason
Would've definitely ran stun grenades if I brought auto cannon, but I'm not even sure if support weapons are worth running on eradicate missions anymore especially against bugs
Automitons have been DEMOCRATICALLY eliminated.
Yeah I've noticed it too.
Just wondering what are youre pc specs takibo?
They probably won’t but if the automatons are 100% removed I’m going to be kind of sad. I find them more fun to fight than the bugs especially after that update that nerfed their rockets in the ground. R.I.P automations if the devs truly remove them.
Why would you be concerned If the devs removed them? If they ever hinted at that? I thought they were apart of the lore
if we wipe them it's likely they'll be gone til bugs are also eradicated, then the war resets.
@@seannolan872 Yeah man. I love facing the robots more than anything.
lol, why would they remove half of the video game? Anybody expecting the devs to cut all of these unique art assets and enemy behaviors out of the game (after multiple years of development) must be delusional.
I am so far from unlocking the scorcher. What do tou recommened until i can get that weapon?
you can climb the walls a lot easier if you drop a supply next to it
It's amazing that your dog sounds Brazilian and you don't hahahahahah. Ótimo vídeo, meu amigo.
Sickle owns both for speed and chaff killing...if you use the AC you just need a good chaff killer.
airburst strike is real good for these i've found, it can clear out a ton of enemies, low cooldown
14:06 "that was quite easy"
This mf… 😂😂😂
stun grenades for hulks.also lets you run away better hence live longer
Correct me if I'm wrong but Eagle Airstrikes are able to take out tanks
what is your setting and how you join solo. your friends cant join on you
How do you like the pillar meta on the first map? Do you think it is an exploit?
I enjoy watching these videos but I’m curious if you ever get bored playing solo. Every time I try to play solo I just enjoy the game less, I’m curious if that’s something other people feel or if I’m in the minority.
Better strat, gather them all up at the edge of the map
Use the traitor missiles and a 380 in combination to decimate them
I'll recommend you to try to bring orbital gas strike, i saw it in action and it can do crazy things, not immediately like 500 kg, but even more after time
hulk flamethrowers me and i cant get a stim off before dead
Orbital laser thrown near large group would have been better choice than pods at least for me but I did it with my brother and friend so was three of us so can't tell 100% how well would work alone but definitely better than 5 kill from pods at least
can you show us how its done with ps5 controller???
19:20 - is not a glitch. You just throw stratagem ball outside combat zone.
God speed to all the solo divers out there
Just out of curiosity - you know you only contribute to planet conquest if you finish an operation? Single missions do nothing.
NIce gameplay tho, I'll never have this good an aim :D
Man they really need to rework this mission or something. If they don't want players farming it like before, just reduce the exp and money and lower the spawns. Getting mobbed by 8 hulks and 5 tanks isn't fun.
7:04 meow
prob could have ran supply pack so you can spam nades and stims
We should start a pedition, to get liberty on stim use. If i stim, i want my helldiver to stim, even with full health
Totally agree, I see this unavailability as something like protection from occasional use, but I really want to see at least an option to turn this protection off
do you play PS or PC?
Bots have more bugs than bugs which is ironic.
What I don't like with Bots: They can see through everything and Helldivers can't
Maybe using the dominator for the medium pen against the hulks would help?
Curved PP is pretty good
these missions feel like the final mission of halo reach with how impossible they are solo, like wtf i'm a helldiver not a superhero what do i do😭
Those times you threw the strategem and they dissapeared, I think you threw them out of the combat area. They don't activate if outside the combat area. Still, very well done!
You really went out in public with that armor and that helmet?
Yeah this is how I play against the bots on this mission too.
I’ve solo’d the first map w/extraction on lvl 9 using the stone pillar cheese tactic, way easier.
Once campaigns are unlocked (level 3+), individual missions add no squad impact to the war effort… only the completed campaign adds to it.
orbital laser might be solid
Is there a reliable way to get the Butcher armor?
watch the shop every time it resets, only way i can think of it
Warbond
Mortar sentry is really good here
You rule man.
It’s not hard. Just run endurance, strafe runs, and keep running. What ruins it is if you allow others to join, or using heavy armor.
I cant understand just using the scorcher vs AC...AC is the best weapon for bots.
i couldnt finish Eradicate on lvl 6 solo ngl
