11:17 Yes dude. I cannot believe that they called the railgun brainless, and then gave us the two most brainless options in the flamethrower and arc thrower. They have said some of the goofiest things. I really want the railgun to be good again. Hard to be brainless when it's a precision weapon. And having to use half your ammo to take down one bile titan was absolutely fair. Also, it had zero crowd clearing capability. Really unfortunate that it got knocked down just for being an obviously good option, whereas the arc has been the better option all along.
The Arc Thrower is certainly brainless (when there's no risk of teamkilling), but I don't think the Flamethrower is. It requires a lot of focus due to it being easy to burn yourself/allies with, and you need to preemptively set the ground in front of out-of-range enemies on fire to deal optimal damage (also it's pretty hopeless against Hunters and Stalkers, so you have to put it away a lot). IMO, the Railgun is still good. It still blows the armor off of Chargers. Can still kill Bile Titans with it post-nerf. Still obliterates tons of bots too. Just requires you to use unsafe mode now, making it risky like many other support weapons/strategems.
@@erhardwei2721 Its good against Automatons however did receive a decent damage decrease in unsafe mode. Then again I see players 2 shot BTs with it. No mater what I do with it always a 5 head shot + for a BT so maybe the inconsistency is less of a skill issue and more of a server connection issue. Sometimes a charger can take a rail cannon strike, 2 on point 500kgs and a laser orbital and the dam thing is still going looking like it has taken no damage. Still a fun gun and still good.
Would love to see the video with least used stratagems like you suggested. What could also be fun is a purposely bad setup with your least favorite weapons and stratagems but still going for an extract. Love your commentary videos keep it up dude!
I have noticed that you mention a nerf to 500kg in multiple vids including this one and am curious what you are referring to? You consistently took down bile titans around 5:50, 9:30, 35:35, and 40:10 with seemingly no issue and the impact didn’t seem too require much precision.
Been watching your content regularly ever since i subbed to you like a couple of days ago, so you cant imagine how excited i am that you posted this video just as i got into bed. Now i can watch this comfortably. Solid video. Also the arc thrower is insanely good against bugs. Ive been rocking it lately with the guard dog rover and its come in clutch for me alot of times. You can pretty much choke some bug breaches or just enemy patrols if they spot you if you just zap them from a distance, sorta like kiting.
Brilliant. I recently made a guide video about how it's often better to stand your ground than to run away, and you're a living example of that sentiment. Granted, not many are going to be as good as you, I'm certainly not. However, if you can do this solo, then other people should be able to do it in a group of 4 if they stick together.
Meta is not an acronym. It's a shortening of the word "metagame", which refers to the 'game' of determining the optimal strategy of the larger, actual game. 'Meta' is a commonly used prefix that refers to self-reference - for example, metacognition is thinking about thinking. Meta comedy is comedy where the joke revolves around comedy itself, or the context of making a joke. Likewise, a game's 'metagame' (which we call simply 'the meta') is a self-referential evaluation of the most effective strategy for playing a game.
@@bigidiot5881 Are you seriously trying to teach a class on words? He can make it whatever he feels like. You need to change your handle to "Thefunpolice" cause you're a fucking buzz kill.
Hey takibo, another solo player here, we run similar loadouts but i personally switch from the shield to a 3rd stratagem (usually eagle airstrike for nests) and i run either +2 nades or stims or the 30% increased throw distance light armors. Currently, i am testing 3 stratagems (railcannon, 500kg, airstrike) + backpack (shield vs laser rover), somewhat RNG playstyle as you depend on POIs to give you your support weapon (hopefully either arc, flame, or rail). I believe it has potential, and i recommend dropping on the extract zone as there usually is some form of support weapon there which can help reduce the strain on your primary/secondary ammo
Love the videos, keep it up! Would enjoy some stealth automaton content every now and then but if it’s not your play style I get it. Pro tip: on some of the nests when you are out of grenades, you can call in the resupply (or arc thrower, shield backpack etc.) on a big hole and it will close it. Could save you a nade
Patrols being more frequent after holes destroyed makes sense. Yall think of them as spawners cause yes they technically spawn enemies, but they're NESTS. The world is inhabited by bugs. They choose a hole to call home. The bugs are able to detect sound. If the bugs of the world suddenly hear the explosions that reverb underground their obviously gonna wanna go check the area since their homes suddenly made a huge vibration. The nests don't spawn shit. They just hold a couple of the MILLIONS of bugs from the planet. But for gameplay purposes it just looks like it holds endless amount. Irl example. All the humans on our planet. Would we not flock towards an area if our neighborhood suddenly made a giant explosion sound or we saw fire coming from it ? Houses don't spawn nothing. They just hold a couple humans who inhabit it. And the more neighborhoods that got fucked up, the more people from afar would come to see wtf is happening.
So I have a few questions. The 500Kg is one use with no re-arming, and you can increase that to one extra with the upgrade. So how are you using multiple 500's in this mission. Second, how are you getting the arc thrower to fire so quickly? I can barely get it to fire after each shot and have to wait like 3 seconds to get it to fire each time. By that time I'm getting overrun with multiple chargers, commanders and hunters. And I'm shooting the Chargers multiple times in the face without them going down, much more than 6 direct hits and they are not going down. I am playing on 5's and 6's and the swarms appear to be far greater than this 9 mission you just ran . I have been trying solo dives over and over again and can't get past level 6. Was able to finish the missions on 5's but can never get extracted. It's getting very frustrating as I have not been able to upgrade anything with rare samples and will probably never see an ultra rare. I keep watching and trying these solo guides but have yet to complete one.
500kg can absolutely be rearmed. An eagle doesn’t rearm unless you use all of its weapons or send it back. If all you bring is the 500, it will go rearm after you use it up. The arc thrower only has to be fully charged for the first shot. Subsequent shots take less time to fire… you don’t have to wait for a full charge.
5:43 How is it possible that you have 2 stalker lairs but haven't been attacked once after 4 minutes on the planet and being as loud and reckless as you can? And you only encountered 1 stalker in total? With 2 active lairs? Did they change something? I haven't played for 3 or 4 weeks now, but as soon as I landed on a planet before, I got attacked by stalkers almost instantly.
When you have more players on a map, and if a player is more than 100m from another, it creates more Heat and spawns. I imagine it works for stalkers too, Ive seen up to 6 stalkers at a single time
@@meejmuas8686 I know, it only affects patrols though, not stalkers. I exclusively played solo and got swarmed constantly every single time there was a stalker lair on my map, and he also plays solo but only encounters 1 stalker with 2 lairs present. So they must have changed stalker spawn rates/behaviour in the last couple weeks.
The more recent patch brought in a lot of balancing i.e, reduced spawn rate of elite units, which i’m guessing is stalkers too. Also has to do with RNG i suppose
I’d love to see a sidearm only challenge, especially cause I think there is an achievement for using sidearm only for an entire mission (think it has to be 7-9) You can 1000% use stratagems for the challenge (apart from support weapons) so you aren’t just playing running simulator the whole time haha All in all, love your content man, keep it up
It doesn't have to be 7-9, it just has to be above Hard difficulty. I got it quite easily a couple of weeks ago when everyone was spamming the Automaton defence missions, the turrets destroyed everything and no-one fired a single shot.
I'm confused as to how he can have 500KG after 500KG available one after the other. I use mine once and it's gone for the whole mission. Is this a ship upgrade that allows this?
You can re-arm the eagle at any point after using eagle strikes. This takes about 150 seconds before upgrades. There are upgrades that increase every eagle strike use by 1 charge before needing to re-arm, and decrease re-arm time by 20%.
Takibo: Wanders into an empty nest, throws a grenade and leisurely picks up 8 samples Me: Can't even get near a nest because there are too many bugs, and when I do clear it there is maybe 1 common sample
Hi mate ! With this kind of build, how do u feel about cleaning the big nests ? Dont u lak of grenades ? I was thinking about swapping the 500Kg bomb for a nest-closer like aerian bombardment. And maybe its a stupid wuqestion but how can u fire so fast with the arcgun ?
I really do hope they revisit the railgun as right now it’s just not worth it since you technically can use it but it’s just not worth it with the amount of effort you need to put into one charger to kill, maybe just make it viable enough to deal with chargers, the arc thrower is truely easier to use compared to prenerf railgun and I hope they don’t just nerf it into the ground but make other options more viable to run.
everything is still very viable, this game is not made for solo play whatsoever so obviously most stuff isn’t gonna be all that good for trying to do everything on your own
So, I just tried basically your same loadout, doing a Suicide mission solo....and I have a ton more hunters to deal with than you for some reason. Plus how do you shoot the arc thrower so fast?? With having to keep click, holding, and unclicking. I was definitely struggling with that. And even starting a ways away, backpedaling the hunters would overwhelm me eventually.
I personal don’t care I like the over all content but it looks like to me he has aim bot assist of some kind so he may also have a trigger mod to help with it. But like I said I personal don’t care because this game is not PVP and still is good content. Note I have no evidence of this just watching the game play the target switching and staying on target doesn’t look natural.
Is there a reason you run the rail cannon strike over the orbital laser? I hate titans so for me the orbital laser is an easy pick. Railcannon can't one hit those. They can one hit chargers, but I can easily take those out with the arc thrower.
I am really enjoying the content! Great advise and insights. Thank you! What armour are you using? And what are the thoughts on the different types of armour for solo runs?
Hello ! Tell me please, why you have very few terminids ?? I have played solo, and it was too much. Than, when played with friend only, and terminods also was too much. And I see your video, and I understand, that quantity terminids, absolutely different 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
I want to say the ceo was talking about the railgun being mindless in group play. 4 people than can two shot any charger leg and then kill them in a few shots, or any mix of those 4 people doing that together is pretty damn easy. With an arc thrower in group play you can't just shoot whenever and where ever you want. You had to reposition around your team mates, you have to pick good choke points, and you have to be mindful of what they're doing. In solo of course it's mindless because you don't have to worry about it's only downside. The rail gun had no downside.
Wait which are warriors and what are scavengers? To me the little jumpy guys (who I know as scavengers) as more of a threat than warriors (who I know of as the slow guys I just blow the head off with the Jar). Do I have their names backwards or does he just find the threat level to be inversed for his gameplay?
The Reddit post is titled "Let's talk about patrols" if anyone is looking for it. Also you run by so many samples it's wild you don't see them. At that big nest you ran by the same group of rares three times!
you can take down a heavy nest with one resupply. Use 4 grenades. then use the Resupply itself to destroy a bug hole. that’s 5 down. then use resupply boxes to refill nades
I wonder why my enemy distribution looks so different compared to yours. I usually play on 7 solo and am very familiar with 3 or 4 simultaneous bile titans. 5 chargers back to back. Over 20 bile spewers in one bug breach. 30+ hunters. This video makes helldive look like an easier difficulty than sewerside mission
Yeah I was trying to figure out if level 9 on pc is different bc on p5 its not nearly this easy. This looks like level 4... maybe 5. Only one charger at a time spawning... ???
A kinda useful tip is you can actually melee hunters to death in like 2 hits in the face or back if you hit legs or armor it takes way more but it still staggers them for a sec so it can be nice if one gets to close when you have arc thrower out and don't feel like switching or it can stop them from hitting you. Just gets harder to use when there's a lot of them real close.
Definitely a higher possibility of kills in groups. The patrols and breaches are larger in numbers, hives spit out more frequently when clearing nests, and if the group separates, more patrols can spawn. For example with two players, stalkers spawn twice as quickly. With three, they spit out two stalkers a time… and with a full squad they spawn twice as fast two at a time.
Challenge kit: Geneva suggestion Loadout: incendiary breaker, any sidearm, incendiary grenade, any armor with +2 grenade capacity. Stratagems: orbital gas, eagle napalm, 500kg, flamethrower Objective: spread managed democracy on helldive difficulty. For added fun go to Hellmire
Have you done any of the blitz missions solo? I seem to struggle with the blitz ones even in groups. Eradicate with a good team is fine but can't imagine them solo.
You can call blue stratagems (backpack, support weapon, resupply) in nests to smash them. Throw them inside just like a grenade and the drop pod will destroy the nest.
Rocket pods are my goto for biles. Small cooldown, like 5 uses before it has to rearm, and has the same dps as the railcannon on Biles. Can one shot if they're unarmored (shooting off armor with Arc) or if it headshots. Been running it and its doing wonders
You can use blue strategems to close nests. Put it on the inner lip of the nest where the red light is still intense with rocks embedded in it, on the side wall
One thing I notice is you do a lot of Bug missions. I assume this is because you enjoy the bugs over the bots but do you have anything for the bots? Like whats your normal run through of it all
slugger = great stagger, good single target damage, secret medium armor penetration (bots and bugs) scorcher = splash damage, can secretly chew through medium armor (bots and bugs) punisher = great stagger, wide bullet spread, can stagger medium sized enemies, light penetration tho (good for bugs especially stopping hunters from getting close) sickle = fastest fire rate, great crowd control, nearly infinite ammo, light armor penetration (mostly good against bugs, need to headshot most medium bots)
Again, your clips are awesome info, im learning to mimic your play style and it's helping me. I though you said fire was king though? I tend to approach them too much and I see you taking distance and that is key for survival, But i had hunters jumping from horizon right next to me they have to tone that down a bit.Great work my friend, keep it up. 🎉
Id like to see a stun grenade build. I can kill a charger with 1 stun grenade by circling to back after it is stunned and shooting the orange butt with a scorcher. Stun grenade also makes other strategems more voable, like Eagle Precision Strike or dropping blue strategems on heavies since stun grenades can hold them in place, even chaining stun grenades if you wish Bringing scorcher, stun grenade combo, allows me to use other support weapons like Stalwart for hunter crowd control. Since I no longer have to bring a strategem specifically for chargers, it opens up a strategem slot for something else
Where did the rumor of the 500kg bomb getting nerfed start? I still consistently one-shot Bile Titans with it, the stun grenade to hold them in place helps a lot with proper placement.
Really doesn't make sense to increase patrols after downing the nests. Should be the other way around.

The arc thrower is unchanged they didn’t nerf railgun then give us arc thrower, the arc thrower has always been good.
loving these videos man. keep it up 💪🫶
In a pinch, your equipment stratagems can close nests when you call them into a hole.
Dude, you are dominating with that arc thrower! Makes me want to get better with it.
Would love to see the video with least used stratagems like you suggested. What could also be fun is a purposely bad setup with your least favorite weapons and stratagems but still going for an extract. Love your commentary videos keep it up dude!
Do you have a link to the reddit post you mentioned? Having trouble finding it ...
love the vids bro. how do you fire this arc thrower so fast? mine feels like it takes longer to shoot back to back lol
Is there a link for the How-To Reddit post you are talking about?
Definitely appreciate the commentary as you play. Hoping I can get over my skill issues and be even half as good as you are one day haha 😅
Brilliant. I recently made a guide video about how it's often better to stand your ground than to run away, and you're a living example of that sentiment. Granted, not many are going to be as good as you, I'm certainly not. However, if you can do this solo, then other people should be able to do it in a group of 4 if they stick together.
META = Most effective tactics available. They will always exist.

I thought you couldn’t Que as solo that it’s just forces you into a random group only reason I haven’t bought it

Pro tip: on some of the nests when you are out of grenades, you can call in the resupply (or arc thrower, shield backpack etc.) on a big hole and it will close it. Could save you a nade
how’re you using the arc thrower like that? 😢 help pls
Loving the videos, you are correct. If a solid 500k or a rail strike fail to kill a bile titan, you can finish them off with the arc thrower
You gotta love it when you’re waiting for an emergency extraction and your own ship blasts you away while landing ruining the entire dive.
I love calling the Resupply in front of a bug hole to use the resupply itself as a "grenade"
Would you please post the link to the Reddit post?
Seconded. I can't find it either.
No, i would very much go in the opposite direction of a large explosion, thank you have a great day.
That’s great and all but then there’s pretty much no practical reason to destroy nests if all it gives is some xp and req slips.
Also has to do with RNG i suppose
let me take my Liber-Tea and watch this amazing video.
I’d love to see a sidearm only challenge, especially cause I think there is an achievement for using sidearm only for an entire mission (think it has to be 7-9)
You can 1000% use stratagems for the challenge (apart from support weapons) so you aren’t just playing running simulator the whole time haha
All in all, love your content man, keep it up
It doesn't have to be 7-9, it just has to be above Hard difficulty. I got it quite easily a couple of weeks ago when everyone was spamming the Automaton defence missions, the turrets destroyed everything and no-one fired a single shot.
8:56 “I’m not much of a stealth guy” Arc thrower: ZAP ZAP ZAP ZAP ZAP 😂
I'm confused as to how he can have 500KG after 500KG available one after the other. I use mine once and it's gone for the whole mission. Is this a ship upgrade that allows this?
You can re-arm the eagle at any point after using eagle strikes. This takes about 150 seconds before upgrades. There are upgrades that increase every eagle strike use by 1 charge before needing to re-arm, and decrease re-arm time by 20%.
What do you mean they nerfed 500kg? There was nothing on patch notes about its. It still one shot Tirana normally
Takibo: Wanders into an empty nest, throws a grenade and leisurely picks up 8 samples
Me: Can't even get near a nest because there are too many bugs, and when I do clear it there is maybe 1 common sample
man that arc thrower clicks are just too consistent
Sorry i didn't heard about it. What did they nerfd on the 500kg?
Followed these tips and completed my first Impossible level mission ever played with minimum casualties.
Does the ARC thrower only crash the game in group play? I know it's bugged currently, but I've only ran it in groups.
How do you fire the arc so quickly?
so many comments he didn't get this far down, I'd like to know the answer too though!
Do you prefer the breaker over the LAS-16 sickle?
Have you tried stun grenades? Still think impacts are far superior?
Is there a reason you run the rail cannon strike over the orbital laser? I hate titans so for me the orbital laser is an easy pick. Railcannon can't one hit those. They can one hit chargers, but I can easily take those out with the arc thrower.
Ok 3 minutes in I see why.
"I'm not much of a stealth guy."
Having just watched your Automaton video, you could've fooled me! 😆
Always looking forward to your vids Legend.
BTW, you can take out the bug holes with the resupply, and you can carry 5 nades.
And I see your video, and I understand, that quantity terminids, absolutely different 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
just tried this build last night omg its great
The arc thrower feel so good to use right now, I hope they don't nerf it lol
Great run btw.
They should buff everything else so it feels as strong
what makes arc throwers so good is that it can kill chargers with ease despite also being great at crowd control and requiring no ammo
17:24 When are you going to start doing bot missions, if the bugs are so "easy"?
Is the 500kg better then running the orbital rail cannon?
How you shoot arc thrower so quickly?
Any recommendations to avoiding RSI from the way the arc gun fires?
Would you still go ArcT in 4 man groups? Or what's your loadout for that?
how do you deal with hosts that kick people at the end of missions? I can't seem to report these guys and they waste 30-40 minutes of my time.
Shouldn't getting rid of bug nests DECREASE the amount of patrols? I think this is backwards if that is the case.
Small jumper: pouncer
Slightly larger jumper: hunter
Big jumper: stalker
Roly poly: scavenger
From what I've heard, lower difficulties get harder if you're at a higher level. I might be wrong though.
He usually stops the hunters and other bugs before they call in bug breaches and reinforcements. Makes the enemy count a bit lower and easy to control
@@NoHands46 That could be
If you’re ever stuck on the last two/one bug holes in a nest, you can call in a spare backpack or support weapon to destroy it
A kinda useful tip is you can actually melee hunters to death in like 2 hits in the face or back if you hit legs or armor it takes way more but it still staggers them for a sec so it can be nice if one gets to close when you have arc thrower out and don't feel like switching or it can stop them from hitting you.
Challenge kit: Geneva suggestion
Loadout: incendiary breaker, any sidearm, incendiary grenade, any armor with +2 grenade capacity.
Stratagems: orbital gas, eagle napalm, 500kg, flamethrower
Objective: spread managed democracy on helldive difficulty. For added fun go to Hellmire
So entertaining to watch. Do you stream on twitch or UA-cam at all?
The shield emplacement can bounce bile titan spit back at them, killing them. It also stops chargers mid-charge and distracts most enemies from you.
Been running it and its doing wonders
is the arc thrower viable vs automatons? i feel like autocannon is better there even though you miss the shield
Its good against trash enemies and the mid tier ones, but against hunlks and tanks ive had no luck.
how is your arc firing this fast. mine takes almoust double time to load up..
You can use blue strategems to close nests. Put it on the inner lip of the nest where the red light is still intense with rocks embedded in it, on the side wall
takibo casually dropping to terminid infested planets as if it was a Pleasure World from 40K
One thing I notice is you do a lot of Bug missions. I assume this is because you enjoy the bugs over the bots but do you have anything for the bots? Like whats your normal run through of it all
do you still think the breaker is the best primary after the nerf? What are some other viable primary options? ie slugger, dominator...?
slugger = great stagger, good single target damage, secret medium armor penetration (bots and bugs)
scorcher = splash damage, can secretly chew through medium armor (bots and bugs)
punisher = great stagger, wide bullet spread, can stagger medium sized enemies, light penetration tho (good for bugs especially stopping hunters from getting close)
sickle = fastest fire rate, great crowd control, nearly infinite ammo, light armor penetration (mostly good against bugs, need to headshot most medium bots)
I’m cheering for you for that 1000 kill game 🤞
Id like to see a stun grenade build. I can kill a charger with 1 stun grenade by circling to back after it is stunned and shooting the orange butt with a scorcher. Stun grenade also makes other strategems more voable, like Eagle Precision Strike or dropping blue strategems on heavies since stun grenades can hold them in place, even chaining stun grenades if you wish
Bringing scorcher, stun grenade combo, allows me to use other support weapons like Stalwart for hunter crowd control. Since I no longer have to bring a strategem specifically for chargers, it opens up a strategem slot for something else
Does the arc thrower do less damage if you go for a higher fire rate by not charging it fully or does the damage stay the same?
I’ve been curious about this as well
Where did the rumor of the 500kg bomb getting nerfed start? I still consistently one-shot Bile Titans with it, the stun grenade to hold them in place helps a lot with proper placement.
How are you using the Arc thrower so fast? Mine is twice as slow
Question here.
So, the game has an achievement to complete a mission at night. How much harder is night compared to day? Does it spawn more enemies?
wow Knowledge sure is king
