can I use it for videography?
*Does 80D have a continuous AF in photo mode?* I mean setting the 10sec timer and moving away for selfie, with the camera still tracking your face until the shutter goes down. 70D has that, 200D doesn't (freezes focus when the timer starts counting down). What's the 80D behaviour?

So you finally fixed the 70D focus problems? How about now replacing those 70D cameras that cant focus with wide exposure lens??
Canon, I own a 70D and am looking to upgrade because of the 70D focusing issue, ive lost so many shots from soft focus even after tirelessly fine tuning every lens.
Yes or No - Has the focus issue been fixed because ill be taking 2 lenses and a tripod to the store to test an 80D before I take it home

CanonUSA im in Australia but I bought it in New Jersey USA though, i have tested 4 lens configurations and it focuses on live view but will often be out of focus on view finder, were talking with tripod and remote

I want buy another Canon till they catch up with the other brands. Why can't I have 4k on my 7D or 80D? Why no 4k on your g series compacts or mirroles camera? If I did not have so much money invested in Canon lenses and accessories, I would have abandoned them a couple of years ago. I'm still cheering for you, but it seems you're not cheering much for us consumers.

I like this camera but it's too heavy for me. But I still want HDR mode for stills. Rebels only have HDR in creative mode without exposure compensation and without control over shutter or aperture.
I really hope Canon brings HDR mode to Rebels, combining bracketed HDR images in post in software is cumbersome, and not very fun. Many smartphones have this feature through apps, Rebels do not.
it's best for low light photography ?

Hello Rohan! With the proper lenses you can get some great views of nighttime skys. However keep in mind that the EOS 80D does still have an IR cut filter, so infrared wavelength spectrum will not be recorded. We hope this helps!

Canon has improved their sensor performance, but they're still 1-2 stops behind Sony sensors w/o AA filter found in almost every camera by non-canon brands, both in terms of ISO performance and exposure latitude.
Pentax is best in terms of astro-photography, not just because it has much better sensor performance (nikon, sony also do), but because it has the unique astrotracer function which makes the sensor tilt and keep it in sync with stars for those long exposures. It also has sensor shift stabilization, so those fast primes are stabilized automatically so you can use those for much slower shutter speeds during night photography. I don't think Canon makes any fast primes with IS below f/2.0.
But Canon has probably the most cost effective solution in terms of wide angle lens needed for astro-photography - the 10-18 IS f/4.5-f/5.6.
For sports, wildlife and bird photography, the 80D (or even most other cameras from canon) beats Pentax, both in viewfinder and (especially) live view performance.

Dust and drip NOT sealed! Never get out under even a light rain neither on a beach sand, you will regret it.

This is a 2002 video there must be some kind of mistake.
I'm regretting investing so much in canon lenses and cameras, it seems like they are not going to catch up. the industrial designers at canon are doing it wrong, the marketing department is really doing it wrong (poorly made video add) and mostly the specs and innovation of this camera just sucks compared to any other camera manufacturer, if in 6 months canon does`t step up, this is the end, the reliable good DSLRs we all loved from canon are going to disappear.

no good storyline, bad cinematography (which is really ironic, since it´s for a dslr camera and the DOP seems to be a beginner)... the only thing cool about this ad seems to be the post production/cgi effects with the technical details, but that´s just about it... too bad...

If you ask me I would tell you is about the camera and some of its functions and capabilities which was well represented.
haha, I might be, you´re right :) but I think it´s important to be good at marketing if you´re such a big company like Canon and if you want to represent a new model best, you have to use your best resources to make good advertising for people to be convinced to buy the product :) but that´s just my opinion (and I´m kind of a hobby filmmaker myself, so maybe I´m overcritical, yes :) )

Keep having fun, it is a wonderful hobby or profession. I am more of a photography hobbyist and I love it, I have yet to get into video part of it. Would be fun but sometimes I feel I am the only in the area I live with a passion for photography willing to share time and knowledge. The people I know seem a little overprotective as if what they knew would get anyone to stardom. LOL
