Vontae is gonna be talked about for retiring at halftime, but dude was a heck of a cornerback and a good dude who was loved by his teammates. RIP Vontae
Well said
Commotio cordis?
That 2014 season might have been one of the best for a cornerback in the modern era
@@stealthiscool it definitely was
@@nflmatchuphighlights u ain't catch on to the "found deads" yet?🤷🏽♂️🍻🍺
I was his barber for the last 6 years. Im going to miss him very much. He lit up every room he was in. I will remember his advice and his stories.
‘Trust me bro’
@@tjkelly3215I cut his grass the last forty years. I will remember his advice and his stories.
Damn, that's tough. Hope you're alright, amigo.
@@tjkelly3215you act like nfl players aren’t normal ppl who go to normal barbers ?

I was kid when I watched that first video of Vonte by Flem, now I’m in college damn time flies
wrd up mane
You're still a kid .it's only been 6 years. I have boxers older than that
@@positivevibetecok grandpa
@@positivevibetecyou’re still a kid I have ball hairs older than your sorry ass

What? This guy had so much love for the game. He didn’t drag us along to watch his play diminish he retired when he knew his time came. God bless him and his family.
Aye. Also corner is probably the position that requires the most athleticism. You can't hide behind learned skills and instincts like you can other positions.
So he knew it was going to start showing soon
@@emilegriffith1473Exactly. Corners are constantly exposed and they run the risk of receiving a pass interference penalty on almost every play. Which is the costliest penalty in all of sports.
As a lifelong Colts fan, I was devastated seeing this news. I never hated him retiring mid-game in Buffalo. I understood both sides of the coin. This is just sad man. Only 6 years older than me and gone. Makes me wanna cherish every moment I’ve got.
Yeah man same here. I wasn't even aware about of the news until yesterday. Rip to him
Many have died earlier. That’s why Christ is important.
@@jamespitts10 your comment is so disturbing
I can’t lie when Vontae said “I need to call my grandma” on Hard Knocks was heartbreaking and made me have a lot of love for him. I love grandma!
You can tell how much better you got from 2018 to present day with this repost
People don’t realise these players are in car crashes every week and there is a cost. There’s a real person involved. This channel is the best at bringing those points out.
Sincere condolences to the Davis family RIP Vontae Davis
He was a really good corner for the Colts. As a Colts fan I enjoyed watching him.
Flem you’re professional as always. Not monetizing this video is respect. RIP Vontae
I saw him play in person in 2010 and it was one of the most amazing football games I ever witnessed. I'll never forget him.
Condolences to the Davis family 🙏🏾
him and sean smith were considerate the best duo corner. gone to soon rip
Wow!! Damn 35? Damn man. My condolences go out to the Davis family. Sorry to hear this.
Rip to Vontae…😢 i never really thought anything bad about him for retiring at halftime.
I been a dolphins fan my whole life and I was mad we traded him he was starting to ball in Miami if you rewatch those games dude gave us a stop whenever we needed one and was a ball hawk
Joe phibin was screwing up that year.He let Chad ochocinco go that same time I believe.
Was waiting for this vid… thank u Flem. As a young CB in college rn this crazy to me RIP Vonte Davis
Which college?
I remember going to the Colts Broncos game back in 2015. The Broncos had just traded for Vernon Davis and it was his first game for the team. Broncos are going up for their first snap on offense. We were still on commercial break so both sides were waiting for play to officially start. Before getting in the huddle, Vernon and Vontae walk up, dap each other up, and hug for a good 10 seconds. I can tell they were close and I can only imagine what’s going on with Vernon right now.
Man.... 35 years old is far too young to go. RIP Davis.
That throwback background music got me nostalgic for 2018/2019 Flemlo videos hahaha
I need to know where I can find that instrumental, been trying to find it for a while now 😩
RIP to him and I have love for him. Condolences to his family.
I still remember watching him coming out of college. I remember wanting the Saints to draft him soooo bad. He had a great career man. R.I.P.
Am proud of his grandma she's a great woman 😢 RIP young man
My thoughts and prayers go out to Vernon and the entire Davis family. 35 is really too young to go out.
RIP Vontae Davis.
He was a special person. I remember him playing in the DCIAA he reminded me of Dion Sanders playing on both sides of the ball and the boy had wheels on the Track. I coach on the other side of town and always thought he was a special kid. My condolences 🙏 go out to your family ❤🎉😢
Seeing these young men, YOUNGER than me passing, has me messed up...
Any human being that can play 10 years in NFL, has completed a great accomplishment !!!!!
Sad news to read/hear, may God welcome him home. You're a unique story teller FlemLo. I hope you hit 1M soon.
rip vontae…had a feeling you were gonna drop this😪🕊️
RIP DAVIS :/ This life is so complex
Rest in Peace! Currently in that walk away stage with my teaching career.
Goodluck ..them kids must be on your nerves😅
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his brother. 35 is too young. Rest in peace brother.
I had no idea he’s Vernon Davis younger brother until earlier. I’ve heard a lot about Vernon Davis remember watching him on the Harbaugh 9ers but I’ve never heard them linked together. RIP
Great video, Flem. But man, how can you not show the absolutely BRUTAL hit in the flats on your boy Giovanni Bernard? As a Colts fan, this man was a hell of a player for a few years and that hit still lingers in my mind. RIP VD21, you were awesome.
I thoroughly enjoyed the video, I'm proud to say I've followed your channel ever since I came across it, about three years ago, you put out great content, keep up the great work!!
Seriously the video that I liked best so far. Thanks. Great outlooks.
Always good content. Thanks bro.
Hey bro keep up your grind your a true inspiration watching your kids get me through
Rest In Peace Vontae. Thanks for the joy you gave me watching you play. You have my complete respect for the way you retired. When you know longer have it, leaving is the best thing for you and the team.
Lovely intro, Flemlo - it was beautifully said. May Vontae rest in peace.
BRO THANKS FOR PUTTING THIS OUT. YOU HUMANIZED THE BROTHER!
Flemlo respect for your post. Props for being respectful.
Damn he really died I remember you making the video about him retiring at halftime and I realized I've been a member for years for a very long time now I've been watching you since I think 2016 wow I can't believe he died 35 years old is so young man it's crazy. R.I.P Vonte Davis
I remember that old vid cause of the irony of the intro music lol. All joking aside, though - R.I.P Vontae Davis
So shocked and sad to hear the passing of Vontae. Such a solid player and good career. Way too young to leave this world. Rest in peace brother. My condolences to his family and loved ones. Great work as always Flem.
I'm glad you did this one. I'm part of the silent majority that watches but never comments.
Keep doing what you're doing, your perspectives enlighten me.
As a dolphin fan man I used to love vontae Davis performance on the field I didn't know him personally but he was one of the best dbs in the league in my eyes rip vontae
Probably the best intro you could have done for this situation
Beautiful and informative video respect my brother
Honestly I forgot that he was the guy that retired at halftime. I just remember him for his time with the Colts. Remember what he did in his career, not how it ended. Thanks for the video FlemLo
That original one was one of the first videos I seen from you. Sad to see such a good person go so soon.
Also, I’m not a Dolphins or Colts fan but I love this channel and have been subscribed for God knows how long, a couple years would be 100% putting in lately lol, and you deserve your flowers on pieces like this. You’re not on here making claims or trying to act like some news Station who has details that other stone or use it for any kind of clout based purpose you’re just giving homage and paying your respects to the man and the greatest game on earth, American football, baby. Rest easy Mr. Davis, and prayers to your brother and the rest of your family.
Bro…the old video of Flemlo!!! It’s gotta be the hair but you look so young bro lol you still look way younger than you is currently but god you look like a kid. Then the intro song 🤣😂🤣 bursted out laughing alone in my apartment. Much love broski!
Rest in peace Vontae Davis 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
He was one of the very few people I’ve seen get the best of Steve Smith Sr in an altercation on the field.
God be with him and his family.
I loved watching Vontae at Illinois. Awesome player.
Dude I love your videos! You should definitely make a "What Happened to Byron Jones" next!
RIP to Vonte Davis. A devastating loss in every aspect. His injury history; putting off surgeries instantly reminded me of Byron Jones's warnings to fellow players.
Yes, saw this at work today, im a long time die hard 49er fan, really was disheartening to hear this, prayers to Vernon and the family!! Smh rest in peace brother! 🙏🏽🙌🏽
❤ prayers go out to him and his family❤
May he rest in peace
I really enjoyed watching dude play on the colts (my favorite team) when I was in high school. Part of some core memories. Fun to watch and a great dude off the field. Rest in Paradise to Vontae ❤️🏈

I watch him play football and basketball back in high school the good old days,
Forever DC RIP Vontae
My sincerest condolences 💐 too the Davis Family too his former teammates and friends. I have no issue when or why he retired .what I’m concerned about is when players Leave the game make it mandatory or put it in their contract that they see a therapist that fits them becuz I do believe he took his own life and something or somethings he jus couldn’t shake I will keep his family friends teammates in 🙏🏾
The man was damn good in his prime. I can't lie, who the hell hasn't wanted to quit in the middle of a work day man. Good on him lived on his own terns. TS and PS for the family
My Condolences Goes Out to The Family. Sincerely
Condolences & prayers goes out to his family. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Rip 🙏🏿 this is horrible news. As a Colts fan he was a great player for us.
Well said
R.i.p vontae davis I didn't know him and Vernon Davis was brothers
Prayers and blessings to the davis family. Peace love n positivity always.
You make a great point though. I see getting a brain tumor that left me disabled as the best thing to ever happen to me. The self awareness to know how bad it could have been is very important
Truly sad story (although I have a strong feeling about what took him out).
I specifically remember your video from five years ago, almost exclusively because of your comments about your intro.
First of all Rest In Peasce Vontae. I have always believed when you know your time is up, time to give it to the person that can. I never once faulted him for leaving when he did. You said at least play the rest of game. But when you know you know. Hell you knew on your lunch break which is like halftime. Thanks for the memories Vontae and rest in paradise
Vontae was a real g he knew it was over and wrote the franchise a check and did what was best for him. Unfortunately he was the third teammate on the Colts team to have passed away and another one has been accused of something unspeakable. But he was loved by his teammates and fans...Rest in Peace Vontae.... prayers to your friends family and loved one's.
R.I.P bruh! Condolences and prayers for Vernon and the Davis family! 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
It’s surreal to see that he died on the same day as Sean Taylor one of my favorite DBs… I’ll never forget either of those men
Who died on the same day as taylor?
Sean Taylor died in the middle of the football season what are you talking about crazy
I thought it was April fools joke...
Prayers up for his family!
Wasn’t expecting this.
As a Colts fan and fan of his it’s heartbreaking and I’m praying for him and his family ….
Damn. R.I.P. and condolences to his family 😢
Part of the best DC Duo at CB..I grew up round both Davis brothers and went to school with Greg Toler who played with him in Indy...this news is crazy🔥🔥😶🌫️⛽️
Great loss... way too young. rip young man.
My condolences to his family and everyone involved….heck of a corner but there is a way to do things and leave your legacy unstained. That’s All they remember and he was great!!!!
I had the pleasure of meeting his brother Vernon Davis. They are a good family full of solid guys. This is a terrible tragedy
Dude was definitely going through something buddy retired halftime got arrested last year dui and now this RIP young buck

Damn that's a shocker rip!
Retiring in the middle of.a game is.stilll pretty baller
Well probably never see that again, I still remember how shocked I was watching red zone and them reporting it lol
RIP 🙏🏾
💔💔💔 RIP dude; I'm so sorry to his family & friends😔✌✌✌
this is so very sad -- he's much too young to have been taken right now. RIP Vontae.
After seeing his arrest video you can see he was battling with substance abuse, extremely sad no one reached out and help him get out of his addiction. Reminds me of the michael k williams death . Rip to both of them 🙏
My condolences to the family
