Never really heard Pat get choked up before, you can tell he felt this one😢
As a dmv native hearing Pat saying “Aye Moe!” Just shows how much of an impact Tae had in the NFL as a whole
Yeah that's Vontae and any DC dude for you "Aye Moe"
Yea im frm dc dis is sadd
Uptown DC in the building... Played with and against Vernon and remember Vontae fondly growing up! Prayers Up!
He said “Aye Dog”
Don't come to Chicago talm bout "Moe" 😅 that's gang slang
That’s awful, prayers to his family. He was so fun to watch
Gone at 35… He was still very young… No foul play apparently so he was struggling with himself… Always a tragic thing to hear 😔
seeing how he retired young and in the middle of a game, seems like CTE was hitting him hard
I’m loss for words. Can’t process this😢
Man, seeing D-But like that is deep. He is always a fun guy on the progrum, but you can tell this hurts him. Thoughts with the Davis family and Vontae's loved ones
You can really hear him holding back and choking up when talking about vontae. For a lot of these guys, teammates are family, so it's almost like losing a brother, especially if they were close outside the field. It's scary to see these players dying at 35.
I remember when he played at Illinois on the team that made the Rose Bowl with Juice Williams, Rashard Mendenhall, Arrelious Benn, and some others.
That “you done good at the end was tough. I felt that in my stomach.
I was watching Seau's documentary last night ironically and I struggle also with depression a lot after the army and never wanna ask for help but it's always nice to know that people care about you. Death is never better no matter how bad my headaches get
Might sound like stupid, and I don’t have experience with head trauma/depression, but you should try weed (smoking, not edibles), especially if you drink/use something currently to numb the pain
@mattneko4225 I was depressed for years, smoked a ton of weed/drank as well. Didn't help, actually added to the anxiety. Then I cut out sugar, added exercise and drink water everyday and have never felt better. But everyone is different, but I feel like alot of people struggling with depression need to evaluate their diet, because it's the fuel.
Thank you for your service big bro. But make sure you’re taking care of yourself. Please
@@travdaddy777 excessive smoking can only hurt (as with most things in excess) but you’re right diet and exercise are paramount (before someone says they’re depressed, they should first consider those factors, because it oftentimes are the factors in their lives that may be CAUSING them to feel depressed, there’s countless studies on processed foods and of course alcohol doing such
Sending prayers and condolences to his family🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
🙏🏼🙏🏼
"you done good pal" 👏🏻
He was always smiling! 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
Rest in paradise brotha, gave me one of my favorite nfl memories of all time.
Which ones that?
@@jacobsims8307 calling it quits at halftime lmfao
Deeply sorry for your loss.
Sorry for your loss and prayers to his family and friends so sad 😢
Oh man God Jesus 😢🙏🏾
Tomorrow isn't promised 😫
Especially if you've taken the TRJJ.
@@rentslaveTRJJ = shot?
man, covid has absolutely ruined folks. No matter what happens people blame the shot. Completely tiresome

Hurts to hear such good dudes like Pat and Darius getting choking up like this, you can tell that was a close one to home for those two . Rest up Vontae, and my heart and prayers go out to his family and former teammates ❤️❤️

What an incredible loss to humanity. This is more than I can bear.....
SO SAD TO HEAR!!!
Awe rest in peace VD :/
I had the pleasure of meeting him and his brother Vernon. Sending my condolences. Rest easy, brother 🙏🏾
Meet him back in the days at Dolphin training camp🏈🐬 I'm still shocked 😞
35 is so young. Man. Hurts.
🙏🏽
Rest in peace Vontae. May God rest his soul.
Rest in peace 🫡
Hopes and prayers to the Davis Family, sincerely Pat's Fan
Condolences to Pat, D-But, and all Vonte’s friends and family. Rest In Peace Mr. Davis… 🙏🏼❤
My condolences to the Davis family. This is sad. 😔

🙏🏼 Gone too soon at 35! 🙏🏼
My heart also goes to his brother Vernon also! Vernon must be devastated.
Weird how I just seen a clip of his brother talking about him yesterday
I just did as well..literally yesterday
Especially on April 1st. Except this is not a joke
I felt the same way when they announced the death of Marvin Gaye! JUST SAD, please check on the people who are ALWAYS smiling. IJS
It probably is, he'll reimage tomorrow
@@HurricanePatrick if you think death is a joke then you live a sad life

Tough loss to the family, friends and teammates.
Steelers Nation 🙏 for his family
One of my favorite moments in sports history. Him getting told he was traded was shown publicly on Hard Knocks and what was his immediate response? "I'm gonna call my grandma." I loved him for that... 😍😍😊😊
Its awful 😢, still processing, 35 years old 😔
🧡💙🧡💙
What they are going through right now in this video, the emotions, the memories, is exactly how every military veteran feels. They go through this many times in their lives. This is why the flag means so much and they deserve so much appreciation and respect for the sacrifices they make.
Tragic figure in my eyes. Always caught a lot of flack and was made fun of a lot on social media. You can tell he was a good guy.
If you care about people call them dont just come to the funeral. Love them when they’re here.
Saw the news and was shocked as a Phin fan. T&Ps to his family.
Depression and it’s consequences aren’t talked about enough as it should be.
Who were the other 3 from the locker room that are no longer here?
Prayers to his family and loved ones, sometimes the depths are just too deep to bare.
Dude was definitely going through something and that something we will never know…
I remember when he retired during halftime in bills game.
And the bills still didn’t win a Super Bowl.
Losing a life is hard for the ones that care for you. Sad thing is he's remembered for retiring at halftime of a game.
Very sad. Who were the 4 guys Pat mentioned?
Good question. I have been thinking this same thing... I know Matt Ulrich died also suddenly some months ago but he didn't play at the same time with Pat
As an ILLINI I will miss this man
He wanted to call his grandma and his grandma is the one that found him 😔
No he didn't. His house assistant the one that found him.
Your trash for saying his grandma found him.. not something you put just for likes..
@@javierhuapaya576a report literally just said that
I see, my apologies… but no that’s not true
@@eczotiic8026 WSVN was wrong. NBC News is saying that the house assistant found him.
they way they're talking about this they're making it seem like a suicide "reach out to your people" etc
Let’s ask Djokovic and Arron Rodgers their thoughts about this another sudden death of a young healthy athlete ? Time to wake up sheep and holds these people accountable for what was forced on us the past 4 years
sad news =(
I'm glad they're covering this story unlike first take
Was it self inflicted? The way Darius speaking on it kinda implies it is..
I mean right now it’s unknown
@@yoitsSmitty2004the media might not know, or they may hold it out of respect. But word may travel fast in NFL circles
The way both Pat and Darius are talking about it it really sounds like it is which sucks. Check on your people is usually what that means.
I wonder where the idiots are now that was talking trash about his decision?
God bless vontae
I pray for peace for his family and love ones. In Jesus name. Amen❤💯
The “died suddenly” that’s been so prevalent these last 5 years.
Can we just....stop with that.
@@tonyOn1ceNot untrue, unfortunately, but actually it's 4 years.
You’re stupid. Research CTE
I wonder if he had CTE. When will they say what happened.
probably has something to do with CTE
After happened Demaryius Thomas it’s just sad what cte can do
When has someone suddenly died from CTE unless it was at their own hands like with Junior Seau? I think many people can connect the dots with the true cause and it isn't CTE.
i wonder if diddy had some footage on em hes in florida
Is this the most F’ed up April fools day joke ever? Please pat tell me it is! 😔
no
Safe and
was it suicide
Them demons are real😢
What was the cause of death?
They taking out bills players left and right, hardy body found in river mike willaims taken out in fl and this guy for quiting in game my opinion then you uave sergio brown taking out his mom probability they did something to him yhat put him understress once again my opinion
You can hear pats sorrow in his voice when he speaks
he choked up at the beginning
Did he have enough time to call his grandma?
The fish tank won’t be the same without him
He must've had a secret illness he just retired in the middle of a game and never went into depth why he did..R.I.P.
How much Pfizer stock do you own?
@@rentslave mAgatArDisM still talking about vaccines and laptops 😅😅😅😅

IS HE DEAD?
is it that hard to look at the video, read the title or description? the answer is there
T f
Too many ex NFL players have passed away before turning 40. What is going on? I hope its a coincidence.
I've been wondering because it started with Charles Rodgers and it's been a strange pattern every since
Was he a tight end?
cornerback
That was his brother you’re thinking of. Vernon Davis
No he was a cornerback. His brother Vernon was a Tight End
@@deyeneicowilliams8218 ok that’s where I know that name from. Thank you.
How don’t you know him 😂🤡
Cowards way out tbh
This is the second time dude quit at halftime

Everyone is soooo sad but they don’t want to hear the truth on why so many younger ppl are dying suddenly. Then a lot of news organisation imply suicide or drug overdose even while no cause of death was released. I don’t trust the coroner now either
You think he was murdered?
