      The most important Wilfork play is one nobody ever talks about with Wilfork in mind, the Butler interception. Wilfork had been tossing Unger around like a rag-doll, and that's why Carroll called a pass and why Wilson didn't change the play. There's no sensitive way to put it, but Wilfork made a huge impression on opposing offenses just by being on the field.

      It's truely amazing and sad how one can legitimately die from a broken heart or like my grandmother died, she broke her hip when she fell and my cousin would visit her everyday and sleep over most nights, well him and his GF were expecting a baby and when my cousin let her know he was having a baby girl he said he could see her eyes light up and a faint smile appear even though at this point she was too weak to fight anything, not even 2 hours later she had passed away with him holding her hand and thats all she wanted from one of us grandchildren but I was just about to gradute HS and my brother was in 10th grade so my cousin was the only true hope him being in his 30s but he knew she was filled with so much happiness and joy in her heart in her last hours of life that she knew she could finally let go and go see my father, her son, and her husband in the afterlife. I still remember the day he called me ballibg his eyes out and I had never even heard or seen him cry before so I immediately knew what happened.. I was especially upset as well and even more so because my cousin never finished HS and I only had a couple weeks left until I got my diploma and I was so excited to go visit Fla and show her personally that one of the Marsala boys had fibally graduated. I know she was lookibg over me though and helped push me through the last 2 weeks.

    What a great all around dude, love to hear stories like these. I just lost my mom suddenly last year.. and I can’t imagine how tough of a time he had losing both of his parents while in college. He truly is an inspiration.

    Vince Wilfork was so fast for a defensive tackle. The type of angles he took to the running back. He would catch up to them anytime they slowed down.

    • @BofaDee33
      @BofaDee33 3 роки тому

      The clips of him in highschool they showed. Where he is just bodying poor 160lbs running backs and qb's. It's like damn you can tell it hurt cuz they don't pop up very fast I think you gotta make a buisness decision and sit that game out if you saw it on the schedule.

      My roommate at the University of Michigan had to take pre med classes over in order to have a serious shot at being accepted to medical school. Needless to say, he gained admission to medical school. I considered becoming a medical doctor, but opted for a Juris Doctorate and practicing law. You can do it. Don't let anyone or anything keep you from achieving your goals.

    Vince def one of the most underrated players of the last decade, as a nose tackle your job is to take up as much space as possible to make it easier for your teammates and Vince did that better than anyone as a nose tackle. Although he didn’t make all the big plays his space and double teams he created due to his size helped the patriots defense a ton and he was a huge part of those teams
