It's incredible to see that your company is paying you to go running in the morning, make your bed, filming yourself eating, etc. You're so motivating, i want to do the same, so when I will play fifa instead of working, i will make money. I mean, that way, i will be able to buy the new play station.
You usually need calc 1, calc 2, calc 3, differential equations, a calc based probability class, linear algebra and a lot of math-heavy physics/chem classes
Do you typically work from home at your job? I’m majoring in ChemE and starting college in a month and honestly I have no clue about what I’m getting myself into.
As a junior who’s interested about chE, and knows not alot. What courses should i take and be aware of? And what skills, projects, things should i immediately try to get a hold of?
How often could chemical engineers find a job that does not require you to work at a plant? I don't want to move to a middle of no where and be exposed to a rather dangerous working environment. (just curious if this is possible being a chem engineer)
Struggles with coding but actually knows how to use Aspen? We must have had very different exercises in college because Aspen is still pretty much a mystery but I'll choose in Python all day. Great video, thanks for sharing!
I’m going to become a chemical engineer, probably and if I don’t I’ll be an organic chemist. I remember in 9th grade we did stuff on chemistry and got nothing wrong for almost the whole unit, then in the last few days I got a couple things wrong. Do You like being a chemical engineer?
Is it very hard for a Chemical Engineering graduate from Europe to go and work in America?(either USA or Canada) Love you Shawn, been a.supporter since way back❤
best chemical engineering youtuber imo You always make videos on topics I'm looking for, thanks! How hard is the work itself btw? Compared to uni work? 2nd yrs chemE student atm and finding the uni work extremely boring and monotonous :'(
@@shawn.builds which one would be more successful? I’d like to be an engineer but idk which route to go. I want to make money and also be comfortable in life so what do you recommend. And thanks for the reply hope you’re doing well and family :)

Hello, in our curriculum we have Gen Chem, A-chem, O-chem, and P-chem. And other Chem Engg major with a little bit of mixture of chemistry such as in Material Balances and others. I think Chemistry subs in ChemEngg are a little bit fast paced compared to BS Chem. Goodluck on your decision!
It's incredibly refreshing to see such an authentic and HEALTHY life video. Thank you!
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Wish this video actually showed more of your job and what it consists of. It's why I clicked.
Work- life balance is important, and this video shows this off perfectly! Great video once again Shawn, and all the best for your coding course 👍
Thank you bro! I’m gonna try to not bail this time 😂

I think I get paid for the job but yeah that works
This is such a cool video, making me want to be a chemical engineer!
happy to help out!
its alot more difficult than it sounds tho, keep that in mind
I'm on my sophomore year and I'm barely surviving calculus lmaoo I hope you enjoy the science when you get into chemE
@@Auoric What level of math is required for a chemical engineering degree? I'm a senior in HS right now and am taking calculus 3.

We need a vedio about how to improve ourselves as chemical engineers specially during the coronavirus condition
I didn't know Chemical Engineers can have a remote job, except they do non-chemical engineering jobs.. what company are you working at?
What job position do you have that allows you to work remotely?
Do you typically work from home at your job? I’m majoring in ChemE and starting college in a month and honestly I have no clue about what I’m getting myself into.

😮💨 Crazy right???

Getting excellent self awareness vibes on this one
Probably too much self awareness 😂
I used to take a lot of vitamins when I worked at a chemical company. I remember that.

environmental companies, design and consulting firms, R&D, pharmaceuticals
Respectfully, if you don't work at a plant you won't get the boots on the ground experience you need of how it all works and what's realistic.
Thanks for this honest and authentic video. I really enjoyed watching your videos
Glad u enjoyed it James !
you taught me nothing
Thanks for almost ignoring the part where you work as a chemical engineer. I clicked on this video because I wanted to know more about your life!
🤣 my bad! i have other vids where i explain it a lot more.

Ayyy great vid Shawn! Hope you're able to catch up on sleep this weekend

I want to ask you if you learned to use Aspen at University or later in the work ?
I learned it in university, but I got to practice a lot at work!
@@shawn.builds did you practice and learn at work by yourself? Or did your peers and mentors at work help you significantly with hysys

What salary a fresher can expect as a chemical engineer in canada?
www.glassdoor.ca/Salaries/chemical-engineer-salary-SRCH_KO0,17.htm
Do you recommend becoming a chemical engineer or should I go for petroleum engineering or electrical engineering
Chemical and electrical are more general, petroleum will limit you to oil and gas

Hiii brother i have completed chemical engineering but loss my interest in it planing to do IT is it good or bad. ?
I had some knees/IT Band issues as well... Practice some yoga, it might help XD
Are Chemical Engineers in demand in Canada?
Do you need to be smart to become an engineer like being good at mental maths etc?
Just math, not necessarily mental math. It’s about being disciplined and logical. I don’t like “smart” because it implies talent over hard work!
Isn't life easy and enjoyable 😌
sometimes!
Can you please tell what skills are requires for R&D department??
Is Masters degree required to get job in R&D department??
Nope, I know ppl working in R&D without a masters

Fair enough aha
