Thank you thank you! 🙏🏼 It’s never good when the washer starts acting up on Sunday right before a new work week. Running this and listening to some craziness while it went through the recalibration and we seem to be working again!!! Hallelujah

This video finally helped me. I don’t understand why so many washing machines are made by so many companies that have to be calibrated. I didn’t know about this before I bought the machine. I will never ever buy another machine that has to be calibrated. Never!! Thank you again!

Betty Ann rowlett it’s not the company machine it’s the bells and whistles that the machine has. I just want a old standard everyday ole washing machine that works every time without a damn computer freaking out cause it can’t decide what to do just nuts no more computer operated washing machines for me

yep same here..I've always been a loyal Whirlpool customer but this new Whirlpool washer is an utter piece of crap. They went too fancy with the electronic crap and now I've had nothing but trouble with it. I'll never buy another washer that has electronic controls..just nothing but trouble waiting to happen. Bad job Whirlpool, I've been loyal for 3 or 4 DECADES and this POS washer has made me think Whirlpool is starting to do the "engineered failure" that all the other companies are doing. They sure don't make them like they used to.

My Whirlpool washing machine was stopping on WASH after filling with water. If I pressed the START button, it would drain the basket then stop again and go into standby mode. I first shut off the water valves and removed the water hoses to check if the filter screens were clogged. I wiped the cold water filter as it looked like there were just a few mineral specks like sand. I reattached the hoses and tried this recalibration technique. filled my basket with a load of laundry, crossed my fingers and hit the START button. It started the FILL and WASH cycles, no problem. Thanks for the video!

I bought this exact machine (at least, it looks like it) in 2017 to replace my 30 year old Kenmore top loader. I used it for nine months, then put it out on the curb .... some poor sole took it, I guess (or it ended up in the back of a garbage truck, I hope). I bought an old Amana top loader for $100 to replace the new Whirlpool HE I threw out; it works great ...... the work clothes actually get clean, sheets don’t get tied into knots. It uses lots of water and wastes a lot of energy ..... too bad ....... it works, so I’m keeping it. I’m convinced that HE top loaders are useless pieces of junk. I threw out a 9 month old HE washer .... that’s how bad it was. Absolute junk.

Not long back I had a Roper that lasted 25 years. The matching dryer still works great and I wish I would have repaired the washer rather than buying a new whirlpool with all the unnecessary sensors is nothing but trouble from day one. What part of a washing machine needs sensing ? nothing the old ones without sensor were 10 times better. Just another way for things to breakdown. Scott don't call yourself mindless, these were built to be trouble from day one. I am giving this method a try in hope mine will go through the spin cycle, what crap.

    Guys.
We had this problem from the first week we got it. Guy came out, replaced a shifter thing. Same problem happened again.
Lo and behold. It was the valve. If you check the diagnostics, you all prob will see the sensing and wash lights, blink, followed by the done light (blinks once) that error code means it’s taking TOO LONG TO FILL. It means that there is a valve, the one that lets the water flow in, that is not sending in enough water which is causing it to take forever to fill. This causes the machine to automatically stop because it senses an error. The valve needs to be replaced because sometimes the hot water can warp it and deteriorate it! Get the valve replaced and try to use COLD, not hot, unless necessary. Also, make sure nothing else is plugged into the same circuit. Ours has worked amazing since the valve was replaced.

thank you! It worked for me! First I reset the system -- unplugged for 1 min and then opened it 6 times within 12 secs.... hit cancel for 3 sec to shut if "off" because it wanted to sense -- then I did the recal as per video -- but for those that are like me screwing up the last turn/step for the cal to start like I did six times convinced the machine was broke and a POS -- because he said stop at rinse or something -- he correctect himself --- the last place to click the knob for the cal to start is directly below the "normal" option -- so think of normal at 12 o'clock -- and the last position of the knob to end up to start the calibration is six o'clock .... and at first when it started to cal it sounded like a jet was going to land on my house -- but after a minute it's running smooth.... thank you

You can also try unplugging it for 60 seconds, re-plug it, and open and close the lid 6 times at 12 seconds intervals, then start the machine, maybe this would work for you. Good luck.

My exact washer has zero power but outlets are all working. I washed one load and went to open door and it was locked, no lights on at all. After a few attempts I was able to finally open the door but there’s still no power. This has been the worst washing machine ever. I had a Maytag for 15yrs that was the best machine ever. This washer is not even a year old. So many problems with the door remaining locked after a completed cycle.

From A 20 year Appliance Technician -The ONLY Good Traditional Style Whirlpool Washers Were Made between 1980-2013. The Good ones do Not have the led lights under the timer, just a tip. True Direct Drives Are Unstoppable, along with regular maintenance👌✌

Randbo - What washing machine would you recommend? I want one without all the lights/ bells & whistles. I just want the stupid thing to wash clothes. My parents had one for 25 years or more. Seems like these newer appliances are only lasting a couple years at best. Where can I find just a simple machine to fill, wash, spin, and then drain? I am sick of this nonsense. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I recalibrated my washer and everything when as shown the lights came on flashed and I was able to set to rinse. But it's still not working. What else could it be?

    When is this actually needed?
Mine is working fine but is this something to be done as pm or when the washer shows signs?

What does the recaliberation do? 3 minutes after my washer is done it repeats all the cycles over again.

If your Whirpool washing machine doesnt start at all, (no lights turn on including the sensor light) check where the door lock engages. My was loose and I just pull it up and it snapped into place. Dang I'm happy that's all it was. All the banging and knocking had shaken it lose.

My washer was hit by a power surge when lightning hit the outside electric cable. Now when I have the washer on warn/cool mode in the washing cycle, the warm and cool water goes on and off quickly than it did before. What is up with that?

Cool! I'm going to have to try this when I can pull mine out of storage (not happening in the dead of February lol). I have a different model number on an otherwise identical looking machine. I'm posting a link back from my own tale of woe. Thanks in advance!

Did the recalibration like in the video. Only took maybe 3 minutes before all the lights went off. Tried doing a small load and it's just stuck on a solid "sensing fill" Any thoughts? Thanks, Dan

I'm on my second brand new inglis auto fill sensing washer. My first one sent way to much water and hot in lieu of cold second one is a bit better but is still not working properly.
