    I was legitimately JUST talking to someone this afternoon how the low end on my current mix project is driving me crazy. Lo and behold - this video appears in my feed a few hours later. Muted the secondary bass track, popped this on the primary track in the Grunt mod, and voila. No more mushy bass or biamping nonsense.
    Great work as usual Ermin & team!

      Hey. Unsure if this was being facetious, but the plug-in already has auto gain and aggressive saturation (EDM mode). If it helps, however, we can advertise them as part of a V2 update and charge you more for it!

      Hey Markku! The TLDR is - when mixing bass you usually end up with multi-tracks for the same signal, different compressor settings and processing. This allows you to keep a single track to manage your bass dynamics and works perfectly with any bass guitar or heavy synth bass / 808 - It's also a perfect match for our virtual bass instruments when processing your own D.I.

      @@sirtorchington Why would him giving us information about the plugin that would better help use the plugin more precisely be bad? Its not like its some secret sauce. Perhaps if it was me asking about the saturation algorithm or something, maybe, but a crossover frequency? Thats not secret sauce, thats just important to know when dealing with a plugin of this nature. At what point does the plugin consider something "low". Its simple.

I see the vst3 file in the plugin vst3 system folder, and i even created a custom folder (which i didnt need, but created just for your plugin), set it to on in Ableton, and it STILL didnt recognize it.

    Hey guys! Noob question here..
    I currently use paralaxx for my bass tones, I try do even the low and high end of the bass before going to paralaxx..
    My question is, could double tap be used to even more of the low and highs, before hitting paralaxx?
    Also, is paralaxx low end compressor doing the same as what double tap low end compression does? Or would you recommend doing the low end compression on paralaxx and adding double tap afterwards to bem even more compressed?
    Kind of a noob question, but I’m just starting in the mixing/production world!
    Nice job with this plugin guys! We’ll definatelly grab a copy of it soon..
    Cheers! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

      G'day!
      Don't use the compressor on Parallax, just bypass. Run the bass into parallax full range, without any compression, unless you specifically have a very dynamic performance that isn't hitting it consistently.
      Use DoubleTap after parallax to control the lows and mids.
      That's the cleanest way. I would not recommend using the low-end compressor in Parallax in conjunction with DoubleTap.
      - Zac

    • @guinganfg
      @guinganfg 2 роки тому +1

      @@SubMissionAudioOfficial thanks for your replying Zac..
      So, you would recommend to bypass the whole low portion of parallax? or just turning the compressor knob (the one to the left) to zero, leaving the low cut and level set to the low end portion of the tone?
      Thanks again!
      Cheers! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

    • @XChristianNoirX

      @@guinganfg just bypass the compressor. In this video, he uses the hpf in fab filter. The low but will do the same thing essentially. Hes just cutting enough to not conflict with the kick drum.
      It's useful to do this before going into the compressor, so the double tap compressor isn't overworking itself with information you're not going to use.

    So after listening to your vidoes and comparing them to everything else on YT - you seem to have cracked the secret sauce on how to get past YT's sound barrier (I mean this literally, your videos are dramatically louder than anything else I'm listening to). Do you think you'd be able to make a quick tutorial on mastering for UA-cam? Would be extremely helpful.

    • @PereRevert
      @PereRevert 2 роки тому

      There's no secret sauce other than understanding LUFS. If your whole video, I repeat, whole video is mastered in the -14LUFS area your audio won't be normalized by UA-cam algorithm. So, when you have a voiceover and individual tracks played in relatively soft levels (like Ermin do in this video), alongside music that is louder than -14LUFS, but the whole video is around -14LUFS, you are good to go and that specific music track in your video will be louder than -14LUFS. On the other side, if your whole video is only a single music track mastered louder than -14LUFS, the UA-cam loudness normalization algorithm will apply. Got it ?

    • @InVerum
      @InVerum 2 роки тому

      @@PereRevert Do yourself a favor - right click on the screen, click "Stats for Nerds" and take a look at the Volume/Normalized portion. This video is above -14LUFS, it is being turned down, but it's more than that. UA-cam supposedly puts a hard cap on its videos via both true peak and an overall volume normalization algorithm, things can only ever be "so loud" in a YT video, there is a hard ceiling. The portion of audio at the start of the video is perceptibly louder than basically any other audio I can find on YT, hence why I'm asking about it.
      I literally downloaded the video, rendered it as an uncompressed WAV and found that it has an average LUFS of -12.7 and a True Peak of 0.2db. Now supposedly YT caps the true peak at -1, it's what I've been rendering my audio at this whole time... But.. Apparently not? Zero point 2 db... that is insanely loud. This is a clearly dynamic video, pauses, dialogue, etc, but it's very interesting to see that somehow the loudness on this was able to exceed the supposed cap of what I thought YT was doing. This will change how I master tracks for YT in the future.

    • @InVerum
      @InVerum 2 роки тому

      @@guinganfg I ended up using both of them lol. Low control is great for bass drum as well but for $43.00 I don't see a reason not to pick this up, simple intuitive controls and the results are solid. The saturation... Needs some work. The glue just started cracking up and the grunt wasn't as impactful as I'd like. With some tweaking this thing will be top tier.
