“You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.” - Steve Jobs
Taken from the quote ‘life can be understood looking back but must be lived looking forward. ‘ not even sure that’s the correct quote itself.
Yeah, seems to be my only option in life right now, glad Steve Jobs is here to tell me it will work out

Hamza, you feel like you’re contributing to the problem of internet addiction but you need to realise that we were only gonna watch another video anyway. You are getting people into self improvement and spreading the best advice I’ve ever heard in my long ass self improvement journey and I’ve seen the most growth in the past 2 months since I’ve been watching your videos. Keep it up bro you’re doing amazing work
This was exactly my thought. He is the better alternative.
Bro, think it about it like this. Every question that you ask anybody you already know the answer to and I mean that with the utmost respect. There are men who watch and implement and then men who watch just to entertain their boring ass lives. I'm going to let that marinate for a sec, just think about what I said and you will see what I mean.
except....
Except well you know..
Have you guys ever come to a though that Now people will get addicted and watch The Whole Hamza's Self improvement videos, and thats i think.. i personally, my Own view. THINK that is what happened and that is what happening Right now...
Like maybe 75 percents people, more to procrastinating and..

Hamza I wanna thank you, because I was on 1 and a half weeks into trying to better myself until I almost didn't workout the day before and I stumbled upon your videos. You gave me the inspiration to continue and I hope that I can become the best version of myself like you have. Godspeed ❤
Hamza, you have opened my eyes to all of this self-improvement stuff. I have started eating clean, working out and I have stopped jerking off, and I am overall being more productive. I am on a journey to be like adonis. I am much happier, truly thank you Hamza.
Hamza.. Please do not stop making this videos. I am currently 31 years old and i am in the WORST point in my life and i am literally lost.. Your videos are motivating me to drop all my bad habits and become a real, good, contributing person. Thank you
hey man i know how that feeling can be...its suffering on a whole other level, but i used the anger, just like hamza did to improve myself, now i have been in the gym for 2 years training 5 times a week, and last year i started studying, and man it was worth it! WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO MY OLD WAYS! Your perception of life changes and the feelings after a long grind cant be described in words...figure out what u need to do...i suggest start with fitness and then go from there, if u succeed in 1 area that creates a snowball effect which makes you want to accomplish more goals :)
Hamza is just another guy on the internet. Someone you will forget one day, or at least, remember vaguely. In the end, the only constant is you. You can only count on yourself to make changes. The drive to succeed must come from within. Not something external that only has a temporary existence in your life.
Look within to find your motivation, let that be your driving force, and you'll do just fine.
@@nujuh1357 hpw dp u use anger
@@improvementology4011 good question, my anger came from being lied to my whole life, people making me believing that im worth less than them, and making me hold back in potential in areas i was interested in, which lead to an event in my life that made me suffer extremly much when i realized what was going on..then the anger came, which was towards people that have made me doubt myself, and i became angry at myself for believing that shit, after doing alot of research on narcissism i realized how blind i have been.. and that gave me a big reason to go after what will make me happy in life, because the best revenge is a life well lived.. you could say that anger becomes a great reason for you to go after your purpose, which will lead to feelings you have never felt before.. hope fully that answers your question somewhat, cus this is deep stuff :)

The puddle story is interesting. I remember some weeks ago, it was raining. Everybody was running around with an umbrella, being irritated and seeking shelter. I just remember I was walking and looking up at the sky and embracing the rain on my skin, it was euphoric and pure bliss.

Same here. It wasnt even raining - it was a rain with hail and very windy. Everybody was hiding and I was just taking a walk. That was a pure joy and I totally recommend that :)

I just wanted to say that these videos truly have helped me a lot I find myself watching your videos less and less because I’m legitimately meditating, exercising, reading, and now it’s just hit me that this was the entire point of your videos. To get to the point where you don’t need them anymore. Thank you
You’re reading my mind right now bro. I’ve just punched in at work and spent all morning thinking about this exact subject. Just recently found your stuff and it’s helping. Thanks bro. 😚

Just discovered your channel. I understand what you mean when you say that your purpose has been fulfilled on this channel and that you feel guilty for contributing to people's internet addictions, but I must give thanks to the fact that you have continued to upload and keep these videos up. I know I'm supposed to be going harder with changing myself for the better and these videos strike a fire in my heart that I haven't felt since I decided to not waste my life doing dumb shit. Thank you, Hamza
Spot on!
I am lucky enough to remember when none of this existed. But still the time wasted online has got me! The younger generation don't have a point in their lives where they could know anything different. This will make these time wasting addictions so much more difficult to abolish. Really good to see a man of your age articulate this problem and fully understanding the terrible effects it is having. I'm pretty sure your message is getting through to the people who want to listen. Well done!
As an teenager this truly gave a clear goals to us that are so very bound on bad habits. I struggle on sky rocketing my good habits, because of video games, porn and etc. But your point put me on enlightenment that strive progress than perfectionist. Thank you Hamza I am constantly being able to reduce my bad habit. Really grateful for your channel.
Just for future reference: et cetera translated is "and others", so you do not have to include "and" before it.
Getting on topic though, I agree with the mindset of progress vs perfection. Most of all if we avoid harsh judgement towards ourselves I think dissociation from undesired behaviour naturally occurs.
I just wanna say props to you for watching these videos and realizing these things when you are still a teenager.

So I'm really grateful for my younger self who didn't quit on improving.
As a 13 year old i am finding it hard to stick to self improvement i don’t know where to start when it comes to exercise
Personally I think it’s really important to have GOOD HABITS that you do consistently - exercising, journaling, good diet... I still indulge in Netflix, video games for a limited time after a hard day’s work at the hospital! Hamza is just the best UA-camr he’s not telling you to watch him so he can benefit from you he’s helping us for free and I count him as a brother and I like how he’s honest hopefully he knows that we appreciate him and for all the advices
Since watching Hamza, I came to terms with my video game, youtube and Netflix use. I would spend way too much time on it and it wouldn’t make me happier. My day now consists of waking up at 5 am and doing either cardio or weights for an hour, then eat and relax before studying from 7 am to 10 am. Then I do an hour break from 10 am to 11 am, where I usually read warhammer 40k or just do some chores around my apartment. Then from 11 am to 2 pm i study some more and I go for a walk around the city, usually going to the museums or going for a long walk in nature. Then after doing that, I study for 2-3 more hours and then I read some more, cook dinner, call my family, do my chores and what ever time I have left before 9 pm, I spend that on youtube, video games and watching movies. Yes, this is not perfect because in a perfect world I wouldn’t be playing video games, spend time watching stupid stuff on youtube or watch Netflix. But I am not perfect, and I might change over time and become better, but so far I am happy. I went from a prawn addicted that would spend 5 hours a day playing video games to someone that rarely spend times playing video games as they are not as satisfying as my studies.
Non the less, thanks Hamza, you have helped me to take more control over my life :)

Thank you so much Hazma I started meditating doing more reading noting working out and you think you are contributing but I have realise my connection with technology is gradually shrinking to the point where I have realised that the only times I'm really on youtube is when watching your videos, I think I have realised how awesome life truly is..... and I have you to thank for this!

It's amazing how I stumbled onto this video, because I was already on a self improvement journey, I quit weed (smokes and edibles), alcohol, junk food, porn, social media and social norms (chasing women instead of building up myself), EXCEPT video games, thank you for motivation to quit that as well because I've seen massive changes in my life already, I can only imagine where I will be I the next year now that all my time wasters are gone, I see myself soaring in the sky like an eagle🦅😎

Thank you Hamza, I genuinely appreciate your wisdom that helped me change and keep changing my life for the better.

Thats the hardest part

Thank you Hamza.I am young and pretty old fashioned, i like lots of older music, films, fashion, comedy etc. I have been manipulated, i have been affected by these modern norms and stupid rules and i have made so much change thanks to you. I want to be like Adonis but i want to do it my way, i want to be like my idols who have made it in life, i want to be someone like you who has found peace and happiness by doing the hard work especially when they don’t want to. I am proud that i have started this self-improvement journey because not only am i trying to escape this awful simulation of this terrible way of life but i am doing it at a young age, i am going to be ahead of my peers, i will have experience and I will know what to do in times of trouble. Just because i may be on self-improvement does not mean I should not live my young life, I watch films and TV shows that i am interested in and think would be good to watch (i want to be a comedian of some sort when i am older though), i buy records, i read comics, but i do not indulge in the sh*t that most of people my age do(i have indulged in these things but now i do not), I don’t have social media(except UA-cam which i limit the usage of) I don’t play video games and I certainly don’t watch any rude/pornographic content(i am on NoFap). I appreciate the work that you have done and are doing and i am so thankful that you do what you do to help young men become great/strong/successful in life. So i will leave with words from the great Gene Wilder “Time is a precious thing. Never waste it.”
I’m a week into my come up, and this is a great encouragement to me, thank you hamza
This kind of wisdom from you is changing my life right now Hamza. Much love
You just made me close UA-cam and reminded me to do my mediation practice lol

Hardship is inevitable. But there's no reason to let someone else make your life harder than it already is. Most times it amazes me greatly how I moved from an average lifestyle to earning over $63k per month, Utter shock is the word. I have understood a lot in the past few years that there are lots of opportunities in the financial market. The only thing is to know where to invest.
I agree with you and I believe that the secret to financial stability is having the right investment ideas to enable you earn more money, I don’t know who agrees with me but either way I recommend either real estate or bitcoin and stocks.
I keep wondering how people earn money in financial markets, i tried trading bitcoin on my own made a huge loss and now I'm scared of investing more.
@@izagdlife That won't bother you if you trade with a professional like *Mr Gary Mason Brooks* my coach, you may have come across him on interviews relating to bitcoin and stocks. He trades, manage trading account and offer mentorship program for clients who wish to become professional investors.
@@Florencecoxx You allow people to trade for you? that's interesting, I would love to learn, hope it’s safe?

I started actually “working out” in the middle of November 2021. I know I haven’t gained much muscle mass yet but I definitely feel better. I’ve cut down on the amount of time I play games. And yet this is only the beginning of my journey.

When I started watching you're videos Hamza you really changed me you were able to give me a different perspective on the world and understand the useless things I did every day and now I feel much more confident and can understand when my body needs breaks and when it doesn't you taught me to not over do things I appreciate the help and guidance you have given me.
I feel like that last 50 seconds is by far the most important for most people. Just because you don’t have abs in two weeks or eat a chocolate bar or something doesn’t mean you’ve failed your journey as long as you stick the mentality of success and keep slowly improving
Can't expect change if your everyday is the same. We have to do the work knowing it'll be difficult and our minds & bodies will reject the discomfort. There will be setbacks, injuries, sickness, trauma, moments of weakness... Don't give up because of these. Press on.

It's actually funny how much the way you view other people changes when you do self improvement. I have realized that most young men now are totally addicted to instant gratification, and they normalize it and even make fun of it. Self improvement is quite a lonely journey, mainly because other people just don't realize that they are wasting their lives.
Sometimes i get disappointed at myself because i fail a task and then i remember that just by working out 10 minutes, like legit 10 MINUTES you are doing more than 80% of the guys out there. Now, don't use this information to feed your ego (basically your ego will put the typical excuses like "oh i worked out for 10 minutes thats enough) but remember that you are probably doing much better than most of the guys out there.
I feel you brother, it's quite lonely up here, away from all BS. I see change in myself, i feel pity whenever I see any one pull out their phone if there is nothing to do. I no longer envy them. This feeling of freedom is what keeps me going
It's also hard to explain self improvement to someone who has been indulging in instant gratification their whole lives because they just wouldn't understand
such copers lol
Any small step puts you ahead of the majority of society. Keep going and you’ll break barriers until you are in the top percent of men on earth
Hamza, whether you're looking at the comments section or not, I have found this channel when there was no light for me. My relationships went to utter shit. And life just went downhill. No goals, no determination, no conviction, practically no purpose but for instant gratification. Finding this channel has saved me, I want you to know that.
Thank you so much Hamza. You are an absolute legend!
Best thing I ever learnt from this guy is simply:
‘Make the sacrifices today so your future self can thank you’

Honstly I do waste time on video games but I absolutely love every moment im playing and feel i am in full control of my life. If there comes a period where im not in control I know exactly how to gain that back.
Respect
Edit: I get up for gym at 4am 5 days a week, work 3 days a week and study two. The last few days are for me (gaming, socialising and anything else i enjoy).
are you robot?
Fair enough
Buddy, as a physician, I can tell you it can be VERY demoralizing to see people come back into the hospital for the same shit over and over that they could have prevented despite preaching out to them. Doing these videos is helping a lot of people out there and that overwhelmingly trumps any "drawbacks" you be causing (fueling youtube addictions?).
Changing is painful...that's why no one wants to kick addictions. The more addicted you are the more painful it is, thats why we have entire branches of medicine dedicated to offering gradual care for stuff like that. It's not enough to go visit your family doctor and get on antidepressants or anxiety meds, half this shit has roots in childhood, a lot of it is parental abuse. And the sad thing is, the mental healthcare industry is utterly pathetic. They will immediately treat and help anyone who comes into ER with conditions that are already beyond breaking point, psychosis, mania, you're swinging a knife at the mailman. But when someone who still speaks and has a horrible life and no support walks in, suicidal, they're handed off to some of the most untrained people.
It's not surprising that having internet role models would help.with how often we grow up now with single parent households, who the hell is there to raise the kids? Who the hel, is there to guide children into adulthood? No one. We have replaced religion with internet addictions, shocker it didnt go very well.
I think the most import part of taking over your life and making a change is just to keep your head in the right place, or even just every now and again. When I was 16 my dad passed away from a drug overdose, I then spent the next 2 years sitting in my room doing nothing feeling sorry for myself. I dropped out of highschool, lost most of my friends, going outside was once per few months. Id keep watching videos like this one and be pissed at myself for never following up with it all and sticking with the motivation. Recently something snapped in my head, I got myself an id, a bank account, a job, I started going outside and doing things, and now im even gaining weight (a long time goal of mine, im very skinny). Now I can see that one of the most important things you can do to take back your life is just to care, keep caring, you will have weeks or maybe even months that you dont care about self improvment or living life the way you would like to, and you will keep feeling like your failing over and over, but you arnt, every time you pick yourself back up and care about yourself even if its for a day is progress. You only fail when you fall and refuse to get back up.
Hey Hamza. Just subscribed this thursday. Love the content. You are a positive force on the internet that reminds me of a few of my friends from back in the day (one of them was named hamza and looked like you lol. I live in LA though so it wasn't you). You might just be the most relatable character I've seen on the internet this far. Love to see the growth that you've had briefly (haven't had the time to binge your videos in a healthy way lol) and this is a good month for growth. Every day is thanksgiving imo. There's so much to be thankful for every day. And every day, even though there are more questions there are answers, it's good to know that there are people out there like you who can impact the lives of all men with internet access. And women too obviously but this video is mostly for the guys. Thank you for all the positive vibes, peace and love, and moderation is always a much more effective solution than absolute restriction. And I agree with everything you said. Thanks for uplifting my week man all love🤩😍🤨🤔😆😁
Hey, Hamza, if you haven't already, you should release a book about some of this stuff.
Since november i’ve been consistent with self improvement. Gained 20 pounds, my mental health has been out of this world, focus and drive has been unmatched. A ton of positive things bc of my willingness to be uncomfortable and stop addictive habits. Last 2 weeks have went downhill though. Started watching porn my overall self care had been low. Today’s that restart again though to be consistent the rest of the year. Fellas the quick gratification you get isn’t worth the long term failure. You gotta jump pff the deep end and keep doing those things you don’t want to do. The high you get is way more gratifying long term than the video game you played and porn watched
thank you for making me notice my bad habits Hamza.
