This is an outstanding video, strategy, and explanation! I do hope you continue to make Railway Empire videos even if they're "let's plays" of you playing the game though the instructional/tutorial videos are great! You're a good instructor! Subscribed!
I was able to just get the game for free from Epic, and fell upon your tutorials. Great work and I'm learning a lot of good ways to get started the correct way. Thanks again
Hey, I've recently started following you and I wanted to thank you for all of your time and dedication to this game. I have learned SO MUCH from you in these videos. The passthrough stations was a game changer, no pun intended. So was the single main line with a long siding... You can run WAY more trains into your stations that way. Thank you.
dude, i've learned so much more toniht from watching a few of your videos than anything the game tried to teach me. thanks man. sorry if i missed a few thumbs ups lol
I think you are in for a treat. RE is an excellent game especially if you like scenarios with specific, time-boxed objectives. Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks. Unfortunately, I still don't have it truly figured out. I deleted the system sounds altogether which made for a very clean sound but now there are no game sounds - okay for this type of video but would be a bit boring for a playthrough. One of these days I will get it all together.
Are you planning on going back to some of the scenarios to use the 1.7 update like you have done with campaign? I sure hope so. Gold Rush is getting on my nerves now. Anyway. Keep up the excellent videos. Peace 🇬🇧
I loved your videos from another train game and just found this. I set up exactly how you said, but none of my trains will go because they are all waiting on track clearance. Any advice?
Make sure you have junctions at your stations and have signals set so that the trains can go one direction on one side and the opposite direction on the other. (I'm assuming you have double track.)
hey adekyn what i meant with the utility buildings is the buildings you can put in the city's 60k residents. I know only one by your teaching and that is the museum.Bud the rest is ? for me. And yes a guide about the characters would be top m8 thx and greatings
...I'm with henry there...I only use Museums in the city they need you to grow exponentially...otherwise, I go with Universities to boost the tech, and get the better engines that keep the lines moving...unless the objectives drive toward a central goal, I like to keep expanding to choke off the competitors; expand right at 'em......also, without exception, I prefer Doc "Brown" when given the choice...free maintenance across an entire map...no contest......lastly, I'd like to see a mini-series of a free mode America cross-country map, involving the 1.7 signal stations, with huge populations...I got NY to 377k without really trying on metropolis...how big can you go nationwide...?
thx for the explenation bud i cant work with doc for me is the man from the industrie. i have other problem with metropolis i finish every task en of 1935 exept buying out competition. And still i dont get president. and you get it don without buying competition i dont get it greatings harry
...try it on hard AI, not normal...the competitors expand more aggressively on hard, but if you choke them off, with rapid expansion, I bet you'll score higher using mostly the same strategy you just described...
I know I'm two years late but what if the cities near your home city have different industries? I'm playing on the metropolis scenario and there's lumber, clothes and cheese
The best start is always to find beer / meat lines. Many of the industries at the start are throwaways because there is no demand for what they produce.
If you just copied the rail lines from Liverpool to Manchester would the trains not still automatically pick up the Cider and bring it back Liverpool? Why do you have to set up a rail line going from Liv to Man AND a seperate rail line from Man to Liv?
Yes, the trains would pick up cider on the return. You make the second line to speed up the process and get the cider back to Liverpool more quickly to enable city growth. Also, in this instructional video I made the second line to show how it would pick up cider.

Thanks. Glad you liked it. I've made over 200 RE videos. There's lots more for you to enjoy.

Nice to see 2k subs now
Thanks, and yes the growth lately has been very gratifying.
Hey man, there is way less background noise going on. Props on fixing that, I hope more people will hear your voice ;)

Can you see the cities grow or are they fixed, and you get messages of changes in size?
The cities grow both out and up.
Way too may rivers for England on that map .
Could be.
I used this strategy but then game was so boring because I was able to buy all of my competitors :(
