The best experience of my entire life was opening for these guys. They're my favorite band, I've seen them live 3 times now, and the third time my band got to open for them. Really cool guys.
dudes are dope
@@chasingforeverbb They're not all dudes
@@wcalnan anyone can be a “dude”
One of my friends saw them and made a gon5o hat.... Which eric asked if he could wear on stage! Said they were super cool
@@wcalnan Shhhhhhh....
I feel like with the amount of people already getting nostalgic for em and the amount of people discovering em now, if they ever do a reunion tour it's just gonna be dope as hell
Get ready for that tour!!
Soooo pumped
@@phoniexlion Saw them earlier in the week - they were incredible!
@@davidryan1636 right!!! I saw them in Cincinnati!! Best concert ever!!
@@phoniexlion dang I missed the cincy show, I must see them been listening since flamingo days
I love this so much -- it's like if Queen and Sweet had a baby that grew up into its own glam rock band.
My father said the same thing. Either you grew up with the Sweet as a kid or are wise beyond your years.
See, I thought Queen and Slade, but I totally see what you're saying.
I keep begging for these guys to end the hiatus... They're amazing! But, I do appreciate their wanting to be with family, which is just completely admirable. So much respect and love!
Still begging with you bro✌️
@@siebkelderart7599 I'm a female, so not a bro. lol.
@professional disappointment Yes, I know, I follow them on Twitter and FB. I'm so happy about their return.
@@FujishimaAkiko oh I'm sorry. Ugh sorry
@@FujishimaAkikocongrats, bro
The most underrated band I've had the pleasure of seeing live. These guys are superstars.
A whole decade since the best rock transition of all time. That tempo change section is my favourite of any song ever. Glad to see Foxy rocking out together again.
This is one of the best and catchiest choruses I’ve ever heard in my life.
2:57 Damn whistle voice!!!, that was refreshing to hear!!
+GuitarWholesale remember me to freddy mercery of queen sometimes
Thats not singing. Its screaming.
hs loc
I'm 100% you don't sing by your comment dude.
Do you scream in tune as well? try it at home.
+GuitarWholesale actually i can very easily do that, no problem. to me this is some kind of awkward extreme vocal. like growling. its unpleasent.
hs loc
U can do it?, put you money where your mouth is then, record it as soon you read this comment, it's easy to hit that note, right?
Seriously when he says "I'm just sitting here crying, the fire is dying" and Loren hits that note. It gives me goosebumps every time. I F***ing love it!!!!
I thought that was Eric
he sounds like a mix between Freddie Mercury and Cher.
He is
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
With a Dash of MJ for a little spice
Mercury lives on through this man.
And looks like Anthony Kiedis
when the healer is lagging and you are the tank
xDDD
Best comment winner.
Is that Rene Descartes
+Toki Wartooth sure is bud.
kkkkkkk
+Toki Wartooth I think it is, therefore it is...I think.
+Toki Wartooth HAHHAHAHAHA SWEET FUCK HAHAHAHAAHAHA
Toki Wartooth LOL
😂😂😂😂
This is INSANELY good
I went to middle school with Eric. I knew he had something special. I’m happy for him & pray the industry treats him & Foxy Shazam great! Congratulations Eric Nally!
it's impossible to listen the church of rock and roll and not dance. Foxy Shazam really makes me happy and I hope they break their hiatus and bring back my happiness DID YOU HEAR ME CAPITAIN?
Anyone listening this in 2020? LOVE 💓
I just now discovered this guy and his band. It started with an Electric UniCycle video by @Zen Lee when he used the track ‘DownTown’. Never listen to Macklemore before (heard of him tho). This guy, Nally, is the best part of the whole music video. Go from Nally to his band, and I am BLOWN away! Really good music.
2021
@@jodypeak8444 I made it to 2021 too! Hell yeah
@@darren5942 Already have. I downloaded all of their albums.
2021 muh doodz
Trumpet guy is the real MVP
100% right. They're absolutely insane at shows. I saw them in Nashville a couple months back, Erick climbed the fucking rafters like 15 feet up, and hung upside down, then jumped off and started humping the air more furiously than a gang bang video or something. I cried. Also, Schuyler crowd surfed with his keys and played at the same time. Phenomenal show. Best live performance you'll ever see.
My friends showed me this thinking I would hate it, but now I love it.
I met these guys about 6 years ago when they opened for another band in Columbus Ohio and I just wanted to say they are all genuinely nice guys. Glad to see they are makin it!!!!! KEEP ON ROCKIN!!!!!!
He would have been bigger 30 years ago but still great
Blake Pavey so true
Freddie Mercury has NO control over when he was reincarnated..
Would have been loved by Freddy Mercury
yes they would have been great in 1989, but I like em in 2019. we need all the rock we can get.
30 years when hair bands were the rage? Try more than 40 years ago when glam was big in the UK . . .
it not fair to to say this is a "Queen" knockoff, but i see Freddy mercury in every scripted and unscripted movement he makes, this guy need to be encouraged. it like hearing Freddy evolving in today music spectrum .
Yeah, like a modernized take on Freddie Mercury and Queen in general. If Queen had lasted through the 90s and 2000s, and Freddie was still alive.
Absolutely love this video, Love this band! Really hoping they come back together again. Maybe get the recognition they finally deserve.
Still upset this band broke up. It was truly one of the best performances that I have seen. Looking forward to Eric Nally's solo album whenever it releases. I would pay good money to see a show for a reunion tour. The whole band had lots of energy and their music speaks for itself!
When I saw them in Omaha, I was certain they were on track to be a bluesy queen. Then Gonzo came out.
I like how much he sounds like Freddie Mercury without sounding like a complete copy of him. He does his own thing and it's pretty good.
I can't be the only one who finds a little Queen here right? (except the slow part)
+SuperNuela I thought the same too. He is a bit more up beat but his soprano parts are almost the same style.
No you're literally the only one
***** wow, we got ourselves a comedian
yeh he does sound like Freddie when he does the high notes
I think that riff is inspired by one of Queen songs but I can't recall which one.
Wow. I've listened to this song 100 times but never saw the video. Awesome!
So glad they got back together. Stay Strong Foxy Shazam!
freddie mercury didn't die, he just got thinner
wonder if it was the AIDS
@@jKRONKitup Bruh 🤣😂
Unfortunately thinner due to aids my friend. Terrible joke even 4 years later.
how does this not have over a million views?
+WowLifeIsAJoke I'm doing my best!!
+Aaron Oliver You wanna know the REAL truth? The label didn't push the band themselves enough. When Foxy put the album out, it was on IRS Records, and was like the only album they made under it. I was promoting the band heavily throughout the TC during "Church Of Rock & Roll" era. Why wasn't Foxy getting the press and publicity like the should've? Ask the record label.
Turns out rock music takes a back seat to pop music unless you're a BIG TIME band or star. At least in some cases. Not with all, but some."GON5O" was independently produced and distributed. Totally made by Foxy.
Anyways, I was working with all the labels belonging to EMI/Capitol and in 2013, many artists were shuffled around and moved out west. Like seriously. It was nationwide and more and they were all moved to Capitol on the west coast. Some artists were even moved to completely new labels. Coldplay is one example.
Hope that helps.
+ChrisPC11 Its a real shame. I know Eric will continue to have a higher profile career but the dynamic of the band was really original and had great potential... especially with Alex and Schuyler keeping things interesting.
Oh well, maybe a reunion thing could happen down the road. The labels blew it but sometimes the public has to be hit over the head with talent before its recognized.
I liked it with ALL my accounts
Did the band break up? I saw them a few years back when they were touring with Slash and they were great.
what a fantastic band....such a killer of a song....Eric's vocals are so unique...and the colour of his voice is a treasure...they should be HUGE !!!
Shoulda been a massive hit. Pure rock perfection. 😩
FUCK FUCK THEY DISBANNED I just found out about them last week.
Apparently it's only a hiatus but we will see.
vickyluvsyahlol I DONT CARE WHAT IT IS CALLED BOTTOM LINE IS THEY ARENT HERE AND I WANT THEM
+Howtostudies "You're tearing me apart, Foxy Shazam!!"
+Howtostudies THEY COULD COME BACK.
+Howtostudies Haha this is exactly what I went through about six months ago... it still hurts
OMG I love this band, This song is amazing!!!... Yes & thank you ..DOWNTOWNNNNNN!!!!!
Ikr same!!!
+uretitibeach That's how I found out about Eric Nally and "Holy Touch"! It feels like I've been touched holy and found out about Eric Nally! LOVE DOWNTOWN!!! :)
This is exactly how they performed live, its incredible! So lucky to have gotten to see them.
Gotta love these guys for trying to bring back the 80's.
curtislowe843 Wow. Been listening to rock since the early 60s and these guys are as innovative as they come. The 80s?Hell. The 70s, the 60s, the 50s. Then go forward from the 80s.
@@rosssmith2605I was gonna say, in the 80’s they moved away from this sound and towards metal, punk, grunge, new wave, glam rock, edm, pop
Awesome!
هاي
Holy falsetto. 2:58
Saw these guys live a few months ago. Great concert. :)
I wish there was a live version with that on it
@@mistershablagoo I've never seen him hit the high notes he hits on the albums, live. Not once. Doesn't mean he hasn't, but in the live performances I've seen, he can't even get close to them - not even the notes on "Oh, Lord", which aren't even that crazy. So, I have no idea if they just do multiple takes on the albums until he reaches it just once or if they're pitch-shifted or what, but he's obviously not the kind of singer Freddie Mercury was, who could hit the album notes anytime/anywhere. I think Nally has a fantastic voice, obviously and I'm not saying he doesn't; it's brilliant - but I think they either pitch-shift on the albums and mask the edit points or at the very least, they just wait until he comes into the studio REALLY in voice one day, when it comes to the more outrageous notes being hit.
So glad other people are discovering Foxy after Eric's work in Downtown! I've been listening to them for years- Cinci bands represent!
Still the best music video ever made.
Their first mistake was getting in a plane with Jake Busey.
LMFAO
ahahahahahaja
I mean yeah but could've been Gary at the joystick inhaling coke by the fistful so in retrospect Jake is still the better option.
Down-under Deplorable Yeah, Gary would have laid that plane down right into the curb,,like J J Cale.
Oh, by the way,,you're now, 'despicable,' crocodile dundee, thanks to your studies at trump university.
But you're really gonna need to pick up your game in mysogyny class. Carry on my wayward son.
Jesse Brooks But mama,,,,thats where the fun is!!!!!!
Thank you macklemore
+OliverBaillie96 I went downtown and I found this..nice ei?
+OliverBaillie96 True story!!!
+OliverBaillie96 For what? I hope for leading you here, because Foxy has been around wayyyy longer than Macklemore.
+OliverBaillie96 Yes! My thoughts exactly!
+Tony Patryn Macklemore has been around since 2000, Foxy 2004. just saying.
No matter what, I keep coming back to this video, great song!
I saw Foxy in Dallas at House of Blues years back...it was a fantastic show. The sound was so good and it made you want to just get up and jam. Never seen a keyboardist crowd surf with his keyboard until that night. I sure wish that sound remained. After Church of Rock and Roll something happened...the good times were gone.
I quote: "Meatloaf + Queen= Foxy Shazam!!". I'd add a little of Cher too!
Paolo Sala there is nothing here that resembles anything in the Cher catalog
Apparently Eric co-wrote some songs for Meat Loaf's album "Hang Cool Teddy Bear."
I'm old Gregg
just need to paint him green :D
a holy shit hahaahahahhahaa
You ever drunk Bailey's from a shoe???
thejoerice I'm Batman.
Ethan Harman ,,,,along with a stuck caps key
They were indescribable! See them live if you can. Crowd-surfing with a huge keyboard. I've truly seen it all now. I've never seen so much going on at once... and they rocked.
Why am I just now seeing this!!?? Was I dead? LOVE!!
Thank you Macklemore
Heather Roomie No, Starman. Its John Kay, from Steppenwolf
Eric Nally not mac
The lead singer looks/sounds like the end result of a government experiment combining DNA from Captain Morgan and Freddie Mercury. I love this.
Jacob Griffith uh,,,,,the love child of John Kay and Tina Turner.
This is bloody fantastic.
Foxy is going to end up becoming a classic band appreciated wah after their time. Love Foxy til this day
Its the American 'Darkness'
There was a time when I used to care
I had a heart man, something was there
I didn't know it then but now
That it's gone the fire died
Heal me with your holy touch
Heal me with your holy touch,
Oh baby
Heal me with your holy, kick
Down the door and hold me
Heal me with you holy touch
There was a line that I used to walk
I used to cross it just to get them to talk
But I'd regret it if I did or not
'Cause I hate both sides
Heal me with your holy touch
Heal me with your holy touch,
Oh baby
Heal me with your holy, kick
Down the door and hold me
Heal me with you holy touch
Now I'm just sitting here crying
The fire is dying
These guys were such a diamond in the rough. They were utterly epic through and through. I really hope they get back together. Music needs them.
Thank you downtown for starting this all, i think im now a foxy shazam fan, yyayyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!
If Eric Nally and Hitler kissed, their facial hair would not touch.
Again? :v
thats was an awesome thought! I laughed for about 10 mins lol
WOW, REALLY?! 😐😐
Eric is the type of guy who would kiss hitler. 😂
I wouldn't say that they wouldn't touch but they would fit together nicely like two Lego pieces
when you really believe in a thing called love
I'm not gonna lie.. it started with Macklemore. I needed to find out who this guy was after watching "downtown" and once I did I started down the rabbit hole of music videos to songs to interviews to old footage of the band. I found that I simply could not get enough of Foxy Shazam.
Straight up, they have a sound that no-one else has!
You guys have true style, talent and showmanship. Take pride in your work.
Finally a 21st century band that knows how the rock. Making love to my ears the way only classic bands have ever done.
Look up the Struts... Very similar and have a LOT of potential
+Andrew Caldwell Check out Silverstein. Different Genre but they will melt your face off.
Andrew Caldwell Grew up in the 60s and early 70s. I've heard plenty and I hear plenty in this song but what I hear the most is the original sound these guys make.
It reminds me of The Darkness
Good ear the lead singer of The Darkness Justin Hawkins helps write their songs.
That makes sense
+Juan Carlos Dena I believe he produced the whole album as well
Oh that's why! Thank you.
you mean Charlie Murphy?
One of the best bands live... Period.
8 years on and still a jam, who'd have thought it was possible to make the Charelston look badass?
2:57 - the best sound ever!
It sounds much more like E.L.O than Queen imo. I'm glad I found this band, nice and fresh sound.
Rockfan182fuckyeah sounds more like The Darkness than either ELO or Queen
Please come back foxy Shazam. We need you now more then ever
Thank you Foxy for one of the best Rock songs ever written. Praise Foxy Shazam and all their awesomeness I get to enjoy!! Much love
Imagine Eric Nally as the frontman of Queen, epic
Is it just me, or does this reminds you of Queens? cuz i dig it as hell and want moar. wouldnt mind hearing these do ''Don't stop me now''
deffo would have had more recognition 30 od years ago thumbs up to you guys
Or even just a few years later since glam rock has been having such a comeback. You dig foxy you should definitely checkout the struts, the biters, and Tuk Smith & the restless hearts.
saw the tag in the side column and said hmm..clicked and this is what i got..i grew up in the 70's and this reminded me of some of those great radio hits and bands from back then...was really well produced loved how they captured that vibe and sound especially on the chorus parts..classic 70's. ala queen, electric light orchestra, sweet etc etc..they really nailed that sound..
Lord farquad
I'm in love xD
Iverson Eric Nally
Iverson I'M CHOKING

Don't worry, they will come back. If not, we'll have to take the streets.
fistropecador14 The streets is where I's born and the streets is where I'll die.
they are back!!!!! hype
I first listened to this song on the radio last night and I couldn't believe this was from a band from today. It sounded so much like from the 70s. I LOVE IT! THIS is what rock and roll's SUPPOSED to sound like.
How does this video not have 10 million+ views? Foxy rocks.
"It tastes like Heaven, but it burns. Burns like Hell!"
Was that... Jake Busey??
+bibby42 pretty sure it was Gary Busey back in the late 70's
+bibby42 Yes, yes it was. All hail the Foxy Shazam and JB connection
+bibby42 Yes it was Gary's son Jack Busey, same guy off of Star Ship Troopers
Leebob4444 Awesome flick!
Great movie
A squeal so great you can't tell if it's a guitar or a person 2:57
Saw them live today and they are amazing
I need them to get back together!!!
Thanks Macklemore.
I'd be surprised if these guys weren't huge Queen fans! I definitely hear the influence.
2019, and still waiting for these guys to get REALLY noticed. are people that shallow? One of the greatest voices in my lifetime that I can think of. I hope their family life has been going well.
I saw them open for The Darkness a very long time ago. Still the greatest show I've ever seen.
Somehow, this video doesn't even begin to encapsulate their energy on stage.
My 24yo son heard me listening to Cold War Kids and thought it was these guys because of the vocals. Now I know why.
2:58 I love that.
Brothers and sisters, I was at their concert last weekend and let me testify-I WAS HEALED BY THE HOLY TOUCH!!
these guys deserved to be so much more. i hope they can get back together some day.
OMG FOXY, I MISS YOU GUYS SO MUCH ALREADY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:'(
This song is a jam. On a scale of one to ten, this is 10 minimum.
10? This one goes to 11 :)
A bit like The Darkness! 👌🏻
elvis316 15
10 million
elvis316 I would put them on a scale basis, but they don't make scales that go to 11.
Cant stop checking these guys out! And yes, Freddie Harmonies all over, but still a strong ass voice. Rockin!!!
I know the group over, but man, what showmanship !!!!
THEY BACK!
Why, why, WHY am I just NOW discovering this! WTF am I doing with my life.
same
downtown by macklemore ft Eric Nally brought me here, and I feel the same way
same. glad I found out about him though.
welcome welcome
T Burke Uh,,,had the same feeling when I heard the Beatles for the first time,,,at the age of 12, just after their first song was released. And since then,,,I've lost count,,,
they need to get back together and they need to get big
knowing how much talent these guys have they deserve to be at the top of the charts
Love it! A little Queen with a touch of The Darkness. Heaven to my ears!!!
