- Welcome to 73 Questions with ND MD. This video series highlights different medical specialties to give you a better idea of what it is like in the life of a full time attending or resident physician...and now healthcare professional students of various healthcare careers or programs! On this episode, Dr. Michael Cellini, a new Interventional Radiology attending physician, talks about his path through medical school and what YOU need to know about the lifestyle of an interventional radiologist. Listen to the candid advice, empowering attitude, and incredible lightheartedness that makes Dr. Cellini an incredible physician, UA-camr, investor, husband, and most importantly, inspiration to pre-meds looking to go into the relatively unknown specialty of Interventional Radiology. Thank you Dr. Cellini for your time and hospitality while I was in New York and best wishes to you in your new journey as an attending Interventional Radiologist!

I had a great time filming this! Thanks for hanging out in NYC
Any time! can't wait to see your life as an attending, don't scare your residents too much :)
Thank you for a tour of your apartment!
I knew you would bring up the juicy uterine fibroids
Dr. Cellini, do you always move constantly like that or was there something special about this filming?
@@HHSMCJROTC that's how these videos are supposed to be the person walks around a lot shows stuff
Have seen more of Dr. Cellini’s apartment in this video than on his own channel
I love Dr. Cellini’s channel didn’t know he was a D.O.!! I got so excited! I start med school at VCOM next week and find his videos so helpful and entertaining! Thank you for doing this interview!
glad we could get some D.O. representation out here :)
I like how the doc maintains a work life balance with other hobbies, exercise, interests and friends.
I'm currently a 3rd year student at PCOM Georgia; and I just completed my first rotation, which was interventional radiology. I'm unsure about what field I want to go into, but I want to say thank you for putting out this video and shedding light on this incredibly advanced field. I have been following your journey and have been watching Dr. Cellini's content as well! Sometimes, I feel like radiology is underestimated and underappreciated in terms of how much you have to know and how mentally draining it can be. Shout out to radiologists for all they do! ❤
I think that having a small amount of anxiety before a procedure is a good thing. It means that you are not overconfident. It means that you are humble enough to accept that things might take a sudden turn for the worse.
I didn't know Dr Cellini was a PCOM grad! I'm currently a M3 at PCOM and was just going through the "I don't know if medicine is for me/Is this even worth it?" so the words of encouragement are great to hear. Thanks for the awesome content Dr Cellini!
Big shoutout to one of the coolest physicians I have ever met. Thank you for letting me hang out in NYC and go subscribe to Dr. Cellini's channel if you haven't already :)
Our interview together here: ua-cam.com/video/wyqFRaUbXT8/v-deo.html
One ☝🏻 suggestion sit down and start the video It was kind of awkward you walking into his apartment and then just walking in and out of shadows in throughout rooms randomly and opening the fridge and stuff like that it’s kind of weird I would’ve just sat down with him and done the interview I think that would’ve been better for your video! Congrats on finishing your first year of medical school!
Thank you so much for making this series.
This is fr my favorite video now; I love how your life isn't revolved around medicine and you emphasize time outside your career and just living life
Yes it's true that sometimes the attendings try to make the med students freeze up with fear by asking them questions about obscure parts of the human anatomy.
Thank you Dr. Cellini. That was wonderful!!!
Coming from a retired RN.
YOOOOO I decided a little while ago that I wanted to pursue IR and your personality and answers definitely have me excited! I also started out wanting to do gas but the desire just died down. You've given me hope for the future!
I'm a big fan of Dr Cellini from his channel, but I've really enjoyed this one on one. I enjoy your channel as well and you did a great job here! Thanks!
Loved learning more about Dr. Cellini!
Im in love with this concept! U had such a great idea starting it with doctors. Keep going!!
And i love doctor Cellini so much it was fun to see him on your channel! ♡
thank you so much :) glad people are finding the interviews helpful
Wow, Andy! So cool to see you out in NYC interviewing Dr. Cellini. Thanks for the awesome video :)
hahaha was a great opportunity I couldn't pass up. thank you so much for being an OG follower😂
Congratulations Dr Cellini on finishing the apprentice doctor phase
This is so cool! Love Dr. Cellini
This was a great video! I love Dr. Cellini! I honestly did at first think radiologists were mostly introverted, so it’s refreshing to see examples of more extroverted people in that field being shown in the media
exactly! that's why i love the 73 Q series, I get to show some of these physicians that break the stereotype to hopefully inspire some pre-meds out there!
@@NDMD why didn't u ask his salary?
Amazing video. I enjoy watching these 73 question videos.
glad you like it :) thank you for watching!
I’ve been watching Dr. Cellini for a while now and just found out he was a D.O. From the medical school question! PCOM is actually one of my top choices for a medical school.
PCOM is a great school! I actually did a 73Q interview with a student from PCOM earlier on my channel if you want to check it out!
@@NDMD I’ll definitely check it out! Do you know if he attended the Georgia campus? Would make sense if he was still living there
I thought of you were a DO you don’t use MD after your name
@@NV5642 yes he attended the GA campus!
Uterine fibroids are the bane of my life. They have given me so much trouble. I"m glad that Dr Cellini enjoys neutralizing them efficiently.
He is the neutralizer and he'll be back!
Dr. Cellini! I love his channel! So excited to watch this!
haha yes he's so cool! hope you enjoyed the interview :)
Me too ha ha ha
"I love night shifts there's no crazy hospital things going on" might be the most radiologist thing a radiologist could say.
I’ve watched this guy before! He’s super cool and a good doc!
I would love to hear follow-ups on some of these questions in general, instead of just launching into the next one, though I get you want to ask all 73 questions.
Love this thank you!!
I came from dr. chellini channel and I am really enjoyng your content man.
thank you so much! means a ton to see the new supporters coming in :)
Incredible information
Great video! Thanks 🙂
Wow your apt is nice. The roof top is awesome 👌. This was interesting and funny. U constantly were moving around 😂. But cool video!
Amazing series man keep going
thank you so much :)
This guy cannot just sit still...lmao I love the interview questions and replies though!!
as a prospective DO student I love seeing the representation!!!
I love his channel
Its funny, when you said "turn around" because you were turning the question around, he thought you meant for him to turn around because he was walking away from you. He looked confused and guilty when he turned around.
I’ve always said if I could study medicine, anyone can. And I mean every word.
Has Dr Cellini ever taken the tour of a burboun distillery? That would be an interesting travel objective for him.
When I hear the word Bourbon it always makes me think of the seedy underbelly of society and of immorality.
Love your videos! Could you do a pathologist?
Yay, I’m starting the DO program at PCOM next month 🙏🏾
ahhh congrats!!! :)
@@NDMD thank you!
Love these! Can you please do a psychiatrist version?
already got a psychiatry resident lined up, just gotta work out scheduling
Love these! as an aspiring ob, i would love to see a 73 questions with an OBGYN! if you need an idea of who to interview you should reach out to mama doctor jones i’m sure she would love the opportunity to interview!
OB/GYN resident coming on very very soon ;) stay tuned
@@NDMD yay!!!! i’m so excited!
Great video!! I’m an upcoming 2nd year med student too :) Got me through my cardio session! Haha
haha thank you so much! best of luck in your 2nd year too, we both gonna need it😅
Thank you Juliana 🙏😘
Shout out to the Doc !
Love itttttt!
i love these videos!! would you possibly consider doing one with a reconstructive plastic surgeon?
i'm definitely looking into who to contact for plastic surgery, it's a popular field so i want to get someone who could speak well to it
First moment i heard lambo it was like “this guy knows”
I'm applying radiology this cycle!!!
best of luck! :)
Dr Cellini sit down, nice apt tour
Good video!!! All the walking around made me a bit dizzy though…lol
hahaha yeah not gonna lie he stood up and walked around a lot, i just had to follow him with the camera 😂
Definitely ZERO reason to walk around. You can tell that most of it was for no reason other than to just move around unnecessarily. I mean, getting up to move from one couch on the rooftop to another? Very unnecessary. It’s takes away from the conversation and it was so obviously planned. I can understand natural movement if you’re interviewing someone prior to a procedure, even then that is not a good time to interview a doctor as it’s not fair to the patients. The doctor should be completely focused on the patients and their needs.
It’s too bad there was so much moving around because the questions and answers are really interesting. I liked the conversation.
Dr. Cellini!
Yay!!!🤍🤍🤍 btw I’m a vodka person but I’m gonna have some bourbon next time 🥃
Hahaha dude we've seen more of cellinis NY apartment in this video than we have in his!!
i'm pretty sure an actual tour of his apartment is in the works, we helped him set up a gimbal so he could film for his channel while we were up there😂
@@NDMD hahaha yes true now that's he's moving out 😂
Wooow awesome video
thank you! :)
Can you do a CT surgeon? Please!!!
Well, I guess that I finally found my suitable major!
I am older than you both and have heard of the word sneeaker, but have never heard anyone in person ever say it. It always tennis shoe or athletic shoe. I'm from the Midwest and south.
That's the best answer to the pizza question
The hardest year of training is the first year out of fellowship.
oof can't wait
no way I love dr cellini!!!
he's even cooler in person than on the internet
Thank you Adrie 🙏😘
this guy gives me patrick bateman vibes. i lol'd at the "stock trader" answer.
any reason he can't seem to sit somewhere for more than 30 seconds lmfao
I have followed Dr Cellini for a while, I always thought he was a MD as I guess I think way too much about stereo typical DO's going to primary care.
he's definitely a stereotype breaker in a good way
He hides his DO. idk why but none of his social media clearly represents that he is a DO.
Please make a video for a pathology resident
i'll reach out to a pathologist in due time! they're usually not the fondest of being on camera tho
I feel like the first question needed to be quotation marks what is an interventional radiologist”
What is you favorite permcath?
smooth
It’s weird not seeing Dr Cellini in scrubs.
i was just as surprised as you were seeing him not in a pair of figs
We never got to see the apartment on the vlogs, so nice to se it here! :P
i'm pretty sure he's planning an apartment tour before he moves, at least that's what he said while we were up there!
Very cool guy and amazingly apt responses. But for goodness sake, sit still Doc.
Go Dawgs!!
Wait @Dr.Cellini how do you read 180 studies in a day? What are your secrets???
Because of the pandy wandy lol this guy is so cool
He is really well trained at top teaching hospitals esp for a DO !!!
Please do a Pathologist next!! :)
looking for a pathologist! most of them are camera shy tho lol
@@NDMD If you can get a Cytopathologist on, that’d be awesome! Interested in pursuing Cytology/Cytopathology in the future :)
PAUSE: YOU DONT HAVE TO CHART?!?!?
yeah i know right, i'm sold
This is so cool 😎
glad you liked it :)
Dude is hyperactive.Up,down,up,down.up,down. Peds. Emergency room doc. parked it in one spot the whole interview. This guy was high speed low drag. Not bad just cruising surprised he didn’t take the stairs.
Wow for Dr C where’s the mannerisms? Didn’t offer a seat and then going on his laptop?
I got sold at no charting! You mean no intimacy with the EMR!?🤔😆
hahaha i know right!
You seem to always forget the most important question, how much do they make :))
How did you get into med school at 21? I’m on track now to get in at 22 and that’s with a combined degree program and maxing my credits haha
That's a very strange system, most people here in india get into medical school at 17 or 18 but ofcourse it's tough af when 1.6 million applicants are fighting for like 10,000 seats.
@@user-tp5qu7zu2l very interesting
Times are different. The average age of a medical school matriculant has been constantly increasing, due to the rise in competitiveness.
I started grade school early then was in a 7 year BS/MD program so I shaved another year off undergrad :) don't worry you're just on time
@@NDMD thanks for explaining! That’s awesome
What is an “ND”?
Any study tips because I am in college to be a EMS
use active recall, apply didactic knowledge practically, don't beat yourself up if you don't know something immediately...the best way to learn is by doing
is that nd md? great vid
it is I, the ND MD. but is that you, the great animedoro Josh Chen?????
@@NDMD no. you got the wrong guy
Have you treated an idiopathic chronic testicular pain?
What degree do I need to become an IR? 🤔 and what path leads me to IR? 🤔
In the US, any 4-year bachelor's degree. Then a 4-year medical degree, MD or DO. Then a 5-year radiology residency program. Then a 1-2 year interventional fellowship program.
You went nyc for this? Most poaple didn't know that medical specialty is out there?
I watched few videos , were you a bit nervous ?
Alternative title: Dr. Cellini apartment tour
hahaha he does have an apartment worthy of a tour id say
It was driving me crazy with him walking all around the apartment but then I remembered when he moved to New York City he promised to give us a tour of his apartment he finally did LOL
OMG!!! Can he keep still? I just wanted strap him to a chair.
Dr Mike time now ?
That is such an ancient stereotype that has been talked about for decades: Not all tall guys have basketball skills It's silly to assume that every tall guy has good jump shot skills.
Dr. Cellini is so chil haha
So what kind of edm does Cellini listen to? I don't believe he ever said.
Wow I can’t believe how rude he is.
Coffee ::))
Thank you Linda 🙏😘
hello dudes
wassup
It is wednesday my dudes
@@user-tp5qu7zu2l my fav comment ever omg HAHAHHAHA
The constant moving around of dr C was distracting, was he nervous?
