- Hi everyone. Here's an updated compilation of all the Doctor's sonic screwdrivers, this time including 14's and 15's.

And could you all please be a bit more polite when pointing out something that you think I "forgot"? I try my best to get everything right, and then all I get is "But you forgot one!" How about saying something like "Nice video, but I noticed that this one wasn't included"?
Also, I've had to change the title a bit just to make it absolutely clear that this is only for the sonic screwdrivers that the Doctor used exclusively. I hope that's made everything clearer.
Anyway, I hope you all continue to enjoy the video! It's nice to see it doing so well! 🙂

By this time I'm willing to agree with The Daleks and call it a Sonic Probe.
Before anyone says anything, yes I know it's a bit lazy that I've used the older version of this and then just added a couple of bits. But as the old saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" :)
Personally i would have used the scene where 10 and 11 compare sonic Screwdrivers as you get to see them both really well 😅
I really like the mark XIII model: it feels like a perfect blend between Mark IX and X. The new one doesn't really tells me anything. It looks more like a tv remote than a screwdriver

Only the ward doctors one actually looks like a screwdriver

I like how the Mark XIII looks like it has an air compreser plug on the bottom

9/10 will always be the best to me.
14 also used the Mark XII in the canon comics that was set between Power of the Doctor and the Destination Skaro short where it was destroyed.
11th Doctor's will always be the best, and they should have just left it alone

It's going to take a while to get used to 15's screwdriver, but let's be honest, at least it's not the sunglasses
Not gonna lie, I loved the sunglasses
I hated them at the time, but I’m mostly indifferent to them now. They are a silly idea but Capaldi wears them really well :)
@@BillWhovian from character POV they work, and if you ignore the timeless child then Capaldi could be seen as a 'midlife-crisis' doctor
The sunglasses were awesome and anyone who disagrees takes this show way too seriously

You've got to remember that The numbers only go for when they were introduced. They don't match the actual incarnation number
14th looks the best, 13 is worst. Though Ncutis is very different
I don't know if I'd agree with 14 being the best. It is very much an amalgamation of many of the previous New Series sonics. Which works well for the 60th Anniversary, but not sure if it works well as a design overall. But yes, 13's and 15's are very different from anything else :)
Still unsure if I love or hate the 15th sonic screwdriver 😅. My favourite was Matt's second one and 14th doctor's

The video is focusing on the Sonic SCREWDRIVERS. Other Sonic devices have already been covered in a separate video I believe. :)

12th use a sonic who look like 11th's one but in blue.
14th use a sonic like the 13th one but with blue Light, and The Trans Temporal Sonic Screwdriver 😁

So mark XlV sonic screwdriver looks like remote can its use a scanner or radar or bio scan or remote control system
Not sure yet. We'll have to see more of it in action so that we can determine what kind of functions it has :)
Shame that we can’t see footage of the first use of the sonic screwdriver I mean I didn’t really enjoy Fury from the deep also the first Doctor just didn’t have one, he only had one in Lego dimensions so that every doctor could have the Sonar ability including the Sixth doctor.
He didn’t have one in the TV show, no. As you say, it was only in Lego Dimensions. I wasn't aware that it was for a special ability though. And yeah it's a shame we don't have footage of it's first use. I'd love to see what exactly it looked like, given the various rumours that Patrick Troughton lost the original prop before filming. :)
The 1st Doctor never had a sonic screwdriver. So you can't call 2's sonic the Mark II and so on. 3's Sonic is also different to 4's and 5's so those can't be grouped as one
The 1st Doctor DID have one in the Lego Dimensions game. And the prop used from Frontier in Space to the Visitation is the same one (as far as I'm aware), so yes 3, 4 & 5 did have the same one. It's really lovely when people try to make out that I got things wrong, and can't even be bothered to be nice about it or about the video overall.
@@BillWhovian Okay firstly, at what point was I not nice about anything? I pointed things out but at no point was I disrespectful. Secondly, the sonic in LEGO Dimensions is not Canon and was only implemented because it would be weird for every doctor to be able to use the sonic other than him
@Omega_Mercenary It's not you personally. It's just that I'm getting tired of all these comments going "But you got this wrong! You got that wrong!" I work hard on these videos and to get nothing but nit-picking from some people really does feel like a slap in the face and that I wasted my time.
By all means, point it out, but I think it’s better to go about it in a more polite manner such as "Good video, but I think this bit might’ve been wrong."
In terms of what is and isn't canon, that's entirely subjective, so it really just depends on what each of us think.

@@BillWhovian it says the sonic was destroyed but then rebuilded a new one, it doesn't explicitly say "The Ninth Doctor used The War Doctor's sonic screwdriver".
it just says it's destroyed, so I guess it's open to interpretation.

@@yam9195 It's called the Bleeding Heart and is from the Ninth Doctor Chronicles audio boxset from Big Finish. You might be able to get it as a download from their website or from Ebay or Amazon as a physical copy.

Yeah it's too much like a computer mouse. But it might grow on me over time :)

I can't believe they went to such elaborate lengths to design a unique sonic screwdriver for the "14th" Doctor (whom I prefer to call 10B or 10v2 or 10mk2)...

Love 12th’s to 15th’s, 11 truly had the worst everything it seems: worst TARDIS interior, Worst episode’s, worst Doctor (imo). Love how different 15th’s is

we can all agree that the 11th sonic is the best hands down, and the 15th and 13th is the worst
imo 14th's got the best, but im very excited to see 15's. also my opinion, but worst one is either 2nd or war's (which always just felt like a stripped down toy to me)
