These early episodes are so rich in character nuances and dramatic subtext. I wish there were surviving episodes of Nancy trying to get Bob and Lisa back together years after their divorce, and being chagrined when Bob married Jennifer.
I recall a couple if these characters. My Grandma use to watch a little of the Soaps during my nap time, and they followed "Romper Room" lol, my fav, as a child. As I recall it was "Days of Our Lives" followed by " As The World Turns" - and I think they were different channels. It really doesn't seem so long ago - I certainly miss her.
in this episode Grampa Hughes was as bad as Opal Courtland on AMC - Lisa had a rich character . Nancy had that kitchen happening after I started watching late 80's Gosh those were amazing .
thank you for this great gem.id luv to watch more of this and from that soap set in Genoa City, just change the name and im sure u will be fine.thanks.Happy 4th of july ciao

Peyton Place was a prime time show recorded a few episodes per week and lasted what, 6 seasons? ATWT was the first 30 minute daytime soap broadcasted live and lasted 54 years.
This was my favorite soap opera. I was not happy when this along with the Guiding Light were canceled
Thank you for posting these timeless episodes.
My favorite too I was pregnant with my son and than after.
This was really cool. I waited on Lisa, Eileen Fulton, in NYC right before the soap ended. Amazing seeing her young
Grandpa Hughes is a Rock Star!!!
Santos Ortega and Eileen Fulton 😂😂😂. Lisa was so damn nervous and grandpa Hughes knew why,😂😂😂
You could not miss Dr' Powers voice from The Doctors as Bruce. Nice seeing him in a meatier role than Chief of Staff. Good actor.

Pa Hughes facial expression is priceless
Shivaughn Murray Sure is 😂. He knew what was up with Lisa and Bruce.
I Love The Look On Lisa's Face When Bruce Shows Up Is Priceless.Lisa Is About To Lose Her Dinner LOL.
Lisa probably needed a Depends diaper after seeing Bruce at the bottom of the stairs. LOL

Nancy was such a busybody when it came to her children’s romantic lives.
Pa Hughes Facial Expressions Were Great. He Told Nancy To Leave Things Be LOL.

Pa Hughes Sarcasm Is Great. I'm Sure Bruce Will Understand LMAO

Pa Hughes I'm Sure Bruce Understands Bob.Great Line So Sarcastic Almost Comedic.
I wish soapNthings had the episode where Grandpa Hughes found out about Lisa & Bruce's affair.
Do you have an idea about when the air date was? If I don't personally have it, I could ask around. Thanks.
James Pritchett Great Actor.
Eileen Fulton and James Pritchett were both born in North Carolina not far from each other .
That's how you write them.
0:17 the actor who plays Bruce (the one who gives the flowers to Mrs Hughes at 0:17) ...could that be a young Jerry Hardin I wonder? 🤔
Dr. Powers having an affair with bad girl Lisa! oh my!
Well if she doesn’t want things to be awkward.. maybe don’t cheat?
Jim Pritchett from The Doctors! Yo Nancy Hughes was a fox!!!

Was this particular episode interrupted by the news of President Kennedy's assassination?
No. President Kennedy was assassinated Nov 22, 1963. This episode is from 1962.
@@MsTexas73 Right. Maybe closer to the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Not even close as good as Peyton place, for me of course
From the very beginning Peyton place already grasps all the attention
democolor42 Ok
