Samuel Cristea (23)- Plays Lead guitar and he's endorsed by Sawtooth, he also plays Acoustic guitar and does backup vocals, formerly Lead vocals, he's also the video editor.
Abigail Cristea (22)- Plays Drums and uses double bass and double kicks, a very technical drummer even though she's flamboyant/flashy, she also used to play Accordion and she created Liliac's Queen of Hearts album cover.
Melody Cristea (20)- Raspy/Gritty Lead vocals and very high fry screams and great stage presence, plays Flute and Bass guitar too if ever needed.
Ethan Cristea (15)- Used to play Rhythm guitar and now plays Bass guitar using a 5-string Sawtooth bass guitar.
Justin Cristea (14)- Plays Keyboard/Piano and plays them very well despite his young age. Rumor has it he's learning Rhythm guitar.

these kids are very special, they work hard and do everything in house, mixing and recording wise, they are independent also. Kid on keys is good, he's 15 now, his brother on bass is 16, singer 19, drummer 22, lead 23.
The trooper os one of the best covers I've ever heard and they were all under 20 at that time Melody was 16 I believe. Just Awesome

The Trooper is a good cover. It is from their earlier years. The lead singer, Melody, was still playing bass and Ethan who plays bass now, was playing rhythm guitar. Sam is the lead guitarist and Aby is the drummer. Justin is on keys. Their original music is awesome.
If you want their latest cover, they just did seven nation army. Their original stuff is killer.
If you want to hear an original & guitar solo, “Mars” live is the place.
Originals or covers, really can’t pick a wrong one.

I will say they seem to turn it up a notch on a Dio cover. That's Melodies main inspiration for vocals.

Ive been a rock fan since a long time ago...theres been Eddie and Dimebag and Randy.....and I honestly think Sam is the next guitar God. He can play like a madman and is damn great at it.
Have fun diving into these great kids! Been following them for over 3 years and finally got to see them LIVE on the 16th. I cannot tell you how they made me feel, I was truly blown away. And that is saying a lot for a 67 yr old rawker. So thx for your Reaction and hope to see you do more.

Welcome to the Liliac rabbit hole. They are incredible. They have a 6 song ep and 13 song album out. My favorite songs by them are covers: Seven. Actions Arny, and The Trooper, and my favorite originals are Nothing and Dear Father. The energy you see in their videos is what they put out when performing live. Would love to see more reactions to them.
The location: It is a metal fabrication business. The drum riser was give to Liliac, if they filmed their video at that location.

Keyboard was actually added to help make up for the 2nd guitar that Metallica has but Liliac doesn't.
They do an awesome cover of "Rainbow in the Dark". That was my introduction to the band.

The lead singer used to also be the bassist, and the brother who took over the bass duties for her used to be the second guitarist. I think they used the keys to fill a lot of that roll. It's obviously a little different sound, but I think it turned out pretty well.
Please do more. Anything they do is awesome. Covers I suggest are The Trooper and Last in Line. Originals Nothing and We are the Children.
Melody (singer) used to play bass. Ethan (bass player) used to play rhythm guitar. They switched him to bass so Melody could focus on vocals. They use the synth to fill in the sound where the rhythm guitar would be. Melody is a HUGE fan of Dio and styles her vocals after his style. She’s an amazing vocalist and a beast on bass. You should watch their Trooper video where she’s playing bass and singing at the same time. Your next cover should be Symphony of Destruction then Last In Line. Their original stuff is great too. One thing about Liliac is they will pick a song they really like and rather than try to cover it as a cover band would they stay true to the lyrics and music while using their instruments and vocals . I would call it a tribute to the song and they never disappoint . They also have a lot of their own material . Keep rolling with Liliac and we will roll with you .

i think youll enjoy the trooper too.....ethan was still on guitar back then too....that song was the first one i heard and got me hooked on these kids(back then)....if this is your genre of music ill check out your stuff if its on youtube

Most people get introduced to them through their covers but their originals are great, Mars (Live in Cumming GA) is a good intro into them or Chain of Thorns or We are the Children. They soon will have 3 original albums.
Anyway you got a New Sub, hopefully more Liliac to come. Also they live in Georgia now.

They've released two albums of Original Material, one EP of 7 songs called Chain of Thorns, and an LP with 13 songs called Queen of Hearts, with a 3rd album coming soon. They have also released 3 albums of all of their covers.
They greatness of this cover is they have to make up for the lack of a second guitar with the keys, all the while playing one of the most difficult Metallica songs out there.

One thing I'm interested in seeing in doing Metallica covers is if Ethan has learned that bass well enough to do some Cliff Burton impressions.
They never try to be the exact same as the original and Melody sounds like this all the time she has been compared to many of the great raspy female singers and a few of the males but she is unique. Because they are a family whos youngest member Justin plays keyboards and piano they obviously include him and a keyboard in all their songs which are without exception spectacular . Their father known as papa Liliac is their manager and record producer and all their performances are videoed and edited by the family . They have written two albums of original songs and have two albums of tribute covers some of which are better than the original . You being a guitarist will appreciate the two covers you mention as they both highlight Samuel's (the eldest sibling) guitar abilities . Great reaction your subscriptions just grew . FANG4LIFE RORH

Funfact" The drum risers were buit by the factory they are playing in front of as a gift..if they used their factory in the background.

You out to try Enter Sandman or Nothing. They've been working together learning as a band for 7 yrs. They are originally from Romania. Dad was in the music business over there. Liliac means vampire bat according to them in Romanian. They rande in ages from 12-21

There is a live version of Master of Puppets with Aiden Fisher (Stranger Things) plus they are older and sound better! When Aiden and Sam are shredding it is magical! Please react to that? I know you have does this music video, but the live one omg!! They have gotten so much better! Great reaction!
Try their cover of "The Last in Line" which was done specifically by request from Wendy Dio during the Cancer Tribute for Ronnie last year.
I would recommend their earlier stuff like "the Trooper " cover from Liliac.
Liliac played Dios' "Last in Line" as a tribute for a Cancer Benefit Fund show last year at Wendy Dio request. They killed it! Wendy gave them 7 days to complete her request and beat her timeline by a day or 2. " Melodia" (Lead Singer) a nickname given to her by Dio/Sabbath drummer Vinnie Appice who calls her a female reincarnation of RJD. Ronnie is Melody's idol and actually has a few recordings with Vinnie Appice on youtube- GoDpsMusic will take you there.
The point about the keyboard sound is a good one. It was maybe a little light and airy. It could have been a little more blended with the strings. Still turned out pretty well though, especially with a kid that age playing.

You will find that most of Liliac's covers are on par with, or even slightly better than the originals. The keyboard element may seem odd or off putting at first, but once you listen to more of their stuff, you'll get a stronger sense of the mood that they bring within the song and mat even feel that that they should have been there all along.
And a little fun Fact, Aiden Fisher, who was the stand-in guitar player on Stranger Things, is a personal friend of the band, and he's more than likely going to be their touring guitarist, as a 2nd guitarist. This will free up the bass and lead guitarist to do their thing so they don't have to mimic the rhythm section.

If you just want to listen to music try the original song 'Vertigo' ... no video for this one but I think my favorite Liliac song.
Next time you want to sing along to one of there covers I don't mind that's a good thing. They do a cover of Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself For Loving You" soo good or Jefferson Airplane's "Somebody To Love" is also excellent.

Good reaction truthful commentary.....just would say I don't think any tribute or "cover" should be exactly like the original or it wouldn't be their version or "flavor" of said song. Other than that this family band is amazing in my view. I enjoyed your technical observations...great job!
I agree about the keyboards. They bugged me quite a bit too. Wish they'd had someone play rhythm guitar instead...
I'm a big Metallica fan and it didn't bother me, in fact I think it worked quite well making up for no Rhythm guitar and gave it a different feeling and yet still sounded similar to the original.
