Fun fact: When the concept of the game was first pitched nobody thought anyone would want to play a game about a dolphin. The project was dead in the water until Novotrade International (now Appaloosa Interactive) founder Andras Csaszar from Hungary decided to take on the production of the game after he seen a school of dolphins jumping in front of his boat while on a pleasure cruise in the Atlantic Ocean. Andras wasn't known for taking risks, an executive at Sega claims Andras said "this was a gamble that paid off bigtime." in a conference call before production began.
I remember "Undercaves" from the standard Mega Drive. Must say that after hearing this version... I rather prefer the chiptune one. Dunno why, seems more stressful and darker than this, which my memory has "hardwired" for action flicks from the 80's in some tropical/Caribbean setting.

This theme sounds like Halo OST + Predator movie OST in a 80's vibe. So great!
Wow this is stunning
It soounds as it's been composed by Vangelis himself!
You are so right!
Good music to study!
Ecco's songs are just wonderful. 5/5 =)
Moray Abyss theme
Awesome thanks for up!
What kind of excuse is that?!
Pretty intense song.
The Ecco Series on the Genesis and CD (excluding Jr.) feel like lost amiga classics.
A good song to get lost to, while searching for the lost dolphin pod-members.
So this was Oddworld music BEFORE Oddworld, Gotcha, I remember playing this, so confused and Scared. Now I've grown to love this Game Character!
This song is like a mix Tube of Medusa and Moray Abyss О_о I think...
I like this kind of music, but none of this versions sounds like the original tunes. "Undercaves" sound like "Convergence" from Tides of time...
Thought I was listening to a Metal Gear Solid song for a minute with the rhythm section

Why does the 16 bit version of this sound WAY better? Why completely change the song?
