I was quoted by subaru today to do this job for AU$644 for ONE wheel! Now that I have seen how easy it is I'll purchase the bearing and do it myself. I thought they would've been pressed in like the old cars but this is a very easy job. Thanks for the video.
WB pulled right out. Wow. Nice. Looks like you’ve done this once or twice before. Gives me some hope when I replace mine next week. Going with NTN or SKF. thanks.
I had both rear bearings on my 2017 Impreza get noise at about 35k, drove on them till 80k. Paid $500 each for replacement. Does their extended tire/wheel warranty cover this??
And don’t be like this guy, actually use a torque wrench to tighten the axle nut.. otherwise you’ll be doing this again sooner rather than later.. also use some anti seize on the hub where it goes into the housing
Did he say that this car only had 30 some thousand miles on it? Then why is the wheel bearing gone on it already? I would definitely not go with OEM wheel bearing on that car. My Impreza has 90k miles on it and the rear wheel bearing just started making noise. And I think 90k is too soon. I've had cars with way over 100k miles on original wheel bearings.
Have you ever heard of something called a Torque Wrench? You might want to buy one so your videos can actually show others how to do the job correctly. Back in my day it wasn't a big deal, good n tight was adequate. But today with all the alloys, polymers, aluminum being used a torque wrench should be in everyone's tool box and actually use it. Just my .02.
Great video !! Very informative Sure beats pressing a bearing 👍🏻 I’m ordering online pretty sure I’ve got the right ones part # BR930768 can u confirm ?
fucking mint baby great video. very clean and efficient work!!! thanks you

Subaru told me 480$ for each side on my 17' Impreza😂😭.. thanks for this man.
was just quoted 1000 for each side...
Was just quoted 1400.00 for both at Modern Suburu. Boone NC. Thanks for this
I was quoted $1600 for both rear hubs!!!! 😮
that intro music woke up my family
about to do this on subaru, is it necessary to replace the wheel nut? or can it be reused?
It can be reused

No I seriously doubt it
Are the bolts on the back of
the hub easy to access. MY NISSIAN was a bear.
Very easy bro
2:50 when you’re undoing the axle nut, what is the torque spec for it, and is it a 32mm?
140 lb ft

Bruh I can’t get this fkn axle out the hub lmao
Take a map gas torch heat the fuck out of it for a bit than hammer on it more
Been trying lmao I guess I gotta leave the torch on it for a lonnnnggg while. Never had this issue, especially on a 17. What can I say , POS Subaru
@@carzncrypto5877 Get yourself a wheel bearing hub remover! Best 70 bucks you'll spend. They make 5 & 10 pound slides

The problem is this guy is too lazy to use torque wrenches and prefer to use impact wrenches instead.
He did not torque bearing bolts or axle nut to proper specs. That is a critical part of bearing lifespan! DO NOT do it without proper torques.
I guess after 25 years and no complaints or comebacks lol u must be a newbie
What is the correct spec?
