I've had my 2016 CTS-V for almost 5 years and I still love it, 38K miles and literally not one single problem. Cadillac engineering is top notch, I still love my V 😉.

@@peytonponder8488 Get rwd car, have decent power, cheap street tires, find big open parking lot away from urban areas, just start out by sliding around and learning how car reacts and than learn to control it with steering. Once you get into it start putting down cones and learn to maneuver around them.
Honestly hardest part is dishing money out for tires and gas and not getting caught when practicing (tickets,impounds and points are the most expensive). Otherwise its mostly pretty simple with muscle memory.

Did you have to unplug something to do this? If i turn TC completely off i can burn tires in a straight line but as soon as it gets sideways TC seems to take over.
You also have to turn off the stability control of the car, just keep pressing TC until both are off

Nope. I have about 540 WHP and I have a hard time not spinning tires even with TC on. In Competition mode you can do donuts all day long.
Tcs off and stabilitract on, anyone can drive it like a boss. Stabilitract off, thats when you hand your keys to the devil. Kill mode. 4400lbs speedboat!

Don't. For what it would cost you get get a used V1. AWD system in the CTS is not as strong so you would likely be breaking things a lot.

No break needed for this cars. Just traction control off and also the stability control fully disengaged. Just have some fun with it on an empty space
@@chilangoworrior916 finally figured it out. had kia rio before got a 2012 ctsv with pulleys exhaust intake rims recaro seats etc only 48k miles mint everything for a good price first fast car ive had. realized need to hold tc button 10sec to turn everything off or brakes will kick in when u get sideways/spinning

Weston Harward+ The Cadillac DTS is Front Wheel Drive with a Northstar V8 and a CTS V is Rear Wheel Drive with a LS Series Corvette engine. Both are fun to drive but the DTS can't beat the CTS V in sound and speed.

All of them are great. I own a zr1 2019 a 2009 CT’s-v and thinking about getting a 2019 cts-v
There’s no problems or differences inbetween years besides the v badge moved from the left side of the trunk to the right in 2011 lol
The only complaint I have is the Que system sucks. Prior to 2014 it sucks even more. Aside from that any year V2 or V3. I have a V2 coupe and love it.

@@yungtraplord5460 rated at 550 ENGINE HP. Actual wheel HP is usually quite a bit less. Most factory ratings are rated at the flywheel because it is a higher number. Gen 2 CTS-V rated at 550 flywheel HP is probably more like 460 WHP. Tuning and a few bolt ons can get that number up quite a bit though.
What air intake u got on it. I have a 2014 cts v and the only after market air intake cleaner i can finds is by corsa. Ur sounds pretty darn good
