2012-2015 center consoles were the best mechanical gauges made for the V. The 2016-19 had the full electric gauges that you can seap between a couple of looks or designs but on that one the best is the odometer in the middle with the mechanical speedo to one side and the digital underneath. I love them both! I just paid off the coupe and got the 19 in January keeping them both until the lord comes for me! Coupe came with 556/551 now has 707/701 the sedan still stock at 640/630. Looking forward to adding 800 to the coupe and probably 1000hp on the sedan!!!
So crazy that I came across this post man. My exact situation. Had an all white AWD 3SS 68k original miles with a stroked out LS2 on e85, BTR stage 4 cam, and a 150 shot of haul ass in it, I loved it. The v is my literal favorite now, the TBSS is cool but it’s heavy as hell. You’re missing out Julio
I have a 2011. I hate that you can't pop the trunk with the button on door unless you are in park or neutral. I hate that you can't press the preset seat adjust button to reposition unless you are in park or neutral. I hate that there is a certain combination of steps, which if you 1) Open driver door, 2) open trunk with button 3) lock your car while inside and door is open, then 4) close the door and 5) go to trunk to get stuff, 6) close trunk, 7) go back and unlock and open and get in and close the driver door, that the trunk re-opens, pops up on it's own. I hate that I can't turn off interior lights from automatically turning on when I open the door.
I have a 2012 tricoat mettalic one love it so much that I put a built 11.25:1 compression lsa with 2.45" pulley in my 74 nova with glass packs. .....sounds wicked!!!! I get compliments on it every time I take it out!!! $
Thanks bro, not to ask a whole bunch of questions but there isnt a lot of information out there for this topic. I am a coupe owner myself. Was the badges on the grill tough to take off? Any tips? By the way, I am stealing your style on the emblems! Im not blacking them but i love the look!
@@AMGEVAN No problem man. And I'm not sure about removing the factory grille emblem, to be honest. My grille is an ebay blackout aftermarket one. The badge has 3M adhesive on it. But myself and others, JB weld a zip tie to the back of the badge and zip tie it to the center (so it won't fall off). I had a V1 and done the same thing with it. Got an aftermarket grille and the same badge. But I JB welded it directly to the grille
As for rear space youre also wrong! Theyre all the same inside the only difference is the head space as the coupe swoops down sharply taking away some headroom but still at 6ft or shorter youd fit fine. Its got more legroom space than mustangs, camaros or chargers! Which are all coupes
Mine had a problem with the center console dying on me. Had to replace the fuse block above the battery to permanently fix it. But she drinks gas heavily. Other than that, no major issues
I find it hard to imagine a normal person complaining about something as utterly trivial and irrelevant to a car as an infotainment system as if it's more important than the fact the car *has no gearstick* but I'm Bri'ish, so what the hell do I know.
The technology has matured a lot since the V2 days. My TRD Camry even automatically applies the parking brake everytime I shift into park. The V2 is a car that feels like it needs a manual handbrake. I feel like it's more fitting for supercharged LS power RWD haha
Just picked up a 2011 silver wagon with 22k miles. It’s auto but still hauls ass and is a ton of fun to drive
V wagon???? I know you had to pay about 60k for that 😂. Good buy 👍 hopefully I can own one some day
I just got a 2013 with 12,000 miles on it and I absolutely love it.
That’s a steal!!

Now I’m in the same situation I have a 06 TBSS full bolt on and built trans awd about to sell it to get a v lol
It's still a sleeper if you debadge it, I've seen plenty of base model cts, they look very similar.
I’m here. Out front
Idk man, a true car guy knows. Even without the badge you know a V from a base model. Now the V sport. It’s worth debadging

Beautiful car, man. I've got a 2014 XTS VSport. Almost perfect.
I don't mean to be a hater but a VSport crossover is a far cry from a CTS-V...
We are all brothers. Enjoy the XTS V 👍
Great video. Hoping to get a V2 soon and I'm going to BUILD IT A LOT!
What wheel and tire set up are you running?
Looking into getting one trying to findout if they are reliable
Me too from what I’ve heard their pretty reliable
Its got a corvette engine and corvette are extremely reliable so

Hey man, I’m about to get a 09 v2, first thing I wanna do is black out all the chrome, how did u do yours?
i think its a cheap viynl wrap
On the 2016-19 that center console is not a storage its for charging the phone. Thats it! The center console armrest is where to store things

Did you look at the Lexus ISF when you were shopping for the CTSV? If the answer is yes, what made you choose the CTSV over the ISF?
Well it’s supercharged
And Manual
Love the ride, what ground affects kit is that?
Black moon sedan full splitter kit
@@OctaneSlain Thank you!!!

quick question. Did you remove the wreath or do you have a brand new badge from the V3?
Front badge is blacked ATS-V badge. Rear badge is rear V3 trunk badge

The price point of these puts it up against the c6z06 and the c7's. Very hard decision.

Howd you get the carbon fiber look around the shifter??
Vivid vinyl wrap!

@octaneslain your parking brake debate - you don't know how to use your car. Hint you ever use your parking brake as a lanch control ? Hello.
