- 1965 surf-type instrumental from popular Cleveland band The Grasshoppers, of which one Benjamin Orzechowski (later Benjamin Orr, bassist/vocalist for The Cars) was a member (pictured at left on rhythm guitar). Written by Jerry Zadar, the band's bassist. B-side of the single "Pink Champagne (And Red Roses)", which was written by Orzechowski.

R.I.P. Electric Angel Rock n Roller....Still listening to what your playing!!!!!...This world misses you!!!!
This should really be in a Tarantino film! Great.

Btw, Ben Orr was a part time friend. We ran together some nights in Boston
He was a good egg...DL
Intro sounds so like 'Billy Idol's White wedding' Hard to believe Ben was playing this music all those years before The Cars Fab vocalist..Thanks for posting!
Hey great observation! I can't unhear that now.
I love this tune and I play it on a playlist while I am out walking !! Or riding my motor scooter! :) xoxo
AWESOME - this kicks !
You're welcome. I have to admit I envy the hell out of you LOL. Despite being in the biz for so many years and reaching the great heights that he did, I get the impression that Ben remained a very down-to-earth, decent person.
I LOVE, LOVE LOVE this tune.
This music reminds me of the old Batman TV show.....I can just picture Batman dancing to this.....right before he starts punching the bad guys.....:D
Hahaha what a great description!

@@littlesparks Yeah I feel comfort from Benjamin.

This reminds me of the old Batman TV show with Adam West....I can just picture Batman dancing to this...right before he starts punching the bad guys!!
Perfect!
A band named after an insect and a song named after an insect. Cool. Cheers!
I know, that's exactly what I thought when I listened to Pink champagne...

Any live footage of them?
Not that I'm aware of. Would be very cool to see.
