Aug 3, 2021: I dedicate this to the memory of my first boyfriend and true love of my life. *Sgt Manuel R. Martinez, USMC, ABQ NM. Manuel, 23, was killed in an automobile accident in Aug 1975, when he rolled his new 240Z Datsun south of Santa Fe. He often referred to this song before enlisting in the Marine Corps. He graduated from West Mesa High School in 1970, where he participated in track and field. (He was also a gifted carpenter and welder.) Manuel had a shy grin and was kind, affectionate, gentle and hard-working.
I was born in the late fall of 1978 in central Kentucky. I grew up in Northern Kentucky. I love this this excellent video! I love Jackie Deshanon! the beautiful singer composer and songwriter Jackie Deshannon was born and lived in Hazel, Kentucky until she was 11! Happy New Year 2024!

Man. I've got so many very favorite songs, I haven't heard this gem for decades, down in the pole barn workin on the racecar, and this song came on, I had to write it down so I could look it up tonight, the world is becoming a better place.
