Has this video any spoilers about Gloomhaven? I recently started campaign and I don't want to spoil it somehow. For example Frosthaven videos has minor spoilers about world( one of starting characters is very specific)
Hey John! No spoilers in this one. The first five scenarios are all about learning how to play Gloomhaven. So this first scenario is quite streamlined. Beyond the flavour text of the conclusion and showing a few stickers that’s it!
1. How replayable is this game? Does the game get stale after 2 or 3 replays? 2. how long is the set up and tear down if you use a 3rd party organizer?
1. This one is a 2-3 replay at max. Which makes it worth the money charged but if you’re looking for endless replayability this one won’t do that. 2. It’s very very quick for Jaws of the Lion. Gloomhaven has more to organize and store so I would say Jaws sounds perfect for you. Have you ever played a a game in the Gloomhaven universe? If not, Jaws should 100% be your first purchase.
@@RollingSolo jaws was only $25 so I bought it, the organizer was 2x that lol But I value my time more so that's why I got the organizer, it makes setting up a breeze
Whoa! Jaws for $25 is a crazy steal. An organizer for any game (especially ones with a bunch of tokens is a win in my books. It’ll help with setup for sure. I have an organizer for all of my Gloomhaven based games. Wouldn’t go without it!
Hey! Best solution to that is to cut around the stickers (leaving the backs on) and use a little bit of sticky tack. Either that or laminate the sticker sheet and cut it. :)
It says in the rulebook that you can also just track things with a notepad or whatever if you don't want to use the stickers. It seems they're completely optional.
Have you played the original Gloomhaven to compare? I have my tiles in a separate box and usually do the upkeep (including getting the tiles ready for the next game) on a separate day because it takes so long. For me, it's a welcome change. I can see how someone might miss the tiles if they've never played Gloomhaven. I also use the helper app because it trims SO MUCH time and table space from the game. I can see people not liking these "helpers," though, who may enjoy a long purely cardboard gaming experience.
Thanks for watching! It’s part of the immersion factor I like to add to my videos. Games are an experience after all. There are time stamps in the pinned comment if you wish to skip it. Cheers!

Cephalofair Games: I can see that a lot of thought went into making Jaws easy for new players to get into. Bravo!
My thoughts exactly! Thanks for watching Russell. 😄👍🏼
I amend my statement from the first video you posted. I REALLY want this game.
haha That'll happen. I know that feeling ;p
This was very helpful, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks

It’s like Christmas. Your spoiling us tonight.
I have to give the Rollers what they expect! 😉

Will the box and insert fit sleeved cards? lol pretty standard question nowadays.
Marduk 360 Sure is! I haven’t sleeved my cards yet though. Cheers!
@@RollingSolo Awesome! Always love your unboxings and playthroughs.
🤩
Do you put permanents stickers in this campaign? Was hoping it was replayable..

That’s right! ;D
what about blood imp and black imp cards?
Hey Ryan! Not sure the context here. Thanks for watching though! :)
Sleeved cards? Look like they would be a tight fit.
Anthony Rivera Could be tight unless you go with Mayday Standard. I haven’t tried myself yet.
I dont know if i like the scenario book concept. I played aftermath, and there, i dont like it. :/
They nailed here. I’m a fan personally but that’s just me!

@@staticklingon2182 I played a lot of the "basic" gloomhaven, and i enjoy the "mapbuilding" a lot more.
Helpful video but a 2 minute intro is ridiculous
