ok but this is the cutest comment here
score gore You're a good kid ☺
Thats so sweet
MFS vlogs that’s so thoughtful of you, I wish I had done stuff like this for my grandma when I had the chance 😔 cherish your grandma, kid, your future self will thank you for it.
I hope you had a great time!
I like how real he is. Like, "if that happens, roll with it. No one will notice" that made me smile coz every other channel makes stuff that seems impossible for us to make. Subscribed, definitely
Thanks! Ain't no one perfect. I've made thousands of omelets in my day working in a restaurant. The day I filmed this just wasn't my day. It happens. To everyone. And I wanted to show that if it does happen, what you can do to 'fix' it. You don't have to scrap your whole breakfast just because the eggs didn't want to cooperate.
Crouton Crackerjacks that's why I loved this so much!
guide to making omlette
rule 1. roll with it
Z
Why is this so fhcking true?? xdd
Hahaha
XD
Yasssss
Okay so I didn't want to flip it the old fashion way so I tried flipping it with the pan .. well the handle broke ! The omelette went all over the floor and I was really hungry , so I just gave up on life and cried 😂
Madison Brooke Just roll with it !
Flipping heck! 😆
r/thathappened
Madison Elaine u look like antonio garcia
My life in a summary
The way this man tells me to make the omelette and when he made a couple mistakes and say roll with it comforts me
I am going to use milk
"Don't use milk"
K then
when did he say that...?
AGCookie Dolls 1:28
he never said that
ATeKnoonKetA I left a time stamp of where he said it 😂
@@jaydw2583 he said "don't use milk, I use water or nothing" xD
You should have your own TV show. Your voice is so soothing and you explain so well that I just watched you make a simple omelette, even though I've been cooking it the exact same way for 10 years!
"Roll with it." Only way to keep your sanity when cooking. Looks good. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Who else's Omelets always turns out like scrambled eggs😔
LaShonda Young LMAOOO
LaShonda Young how does that happen?
+Panic! At The Fall Out Pity Party you try to flip it and disaster results, so you just say screw it and scramble them at the last second.
At least for me anyhow, lol
look up Jacques Pepin. Omelettes should be tender and not fall apart.
Add milk to the egg mixture, problem solved
"finnese it into the pan" 😂😂👌
The omelette is always challenging... thanks for the honesty in showing your complications.
I've made hundreds of omelets without problems but of course when I turn on the camera, it gives me fits. Oh well. May as well show it because it happens to all of us, even those of us that did this for a living.
Crouton Crackerjacks : They are my nemesis! My mentors were egg fanatics, where any sign of scorch was deemed a failure. Thus; I have egg issues and never seem to be able to prepare an omelette that I'm proud of... I always delegate to others... Thanks again for all your hard work and excellent videos.
I'd never made an omelet before. Thanks for your video! Mine didn't fall apart, even.
Brent Meister not really I made Bacon 3 cheese and it was like my second omelette ever
You damn near made scrambled eggs
Staplehead 😂😂😂😂😂
Agree, ham and cheese scrambled eggs.
Staplehead 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Staplehead
😭😂😂😂
Yeah this is basically just scrambled eggs
I'd love to see a hash brown video! I love to cook and love watching your videos! They sure do help a lot!
Get tatar tots Fry in the pan
Shouldn't you just fry the ham for a bit before putting on top of omelette ? in this way, the ham will be little more crisp and cooked , the flavor will come out more
Yass 🤤
I agree. I like my fillings cooked a little bit before putting them in the omelette. Glad I'm not the only one.
He's not saying you shouldn't. If that's how you like it, then do it. That's the beauty of food. Everyone likes it slightly different.
Good point
My guess is (and I’m a failed domestic wife) is it depends on one’s choice of of taste AND the type of ham you’re using…
Yes please on the hash brown video! Your videos are so informative and detailed, great for people starting out cooking!
I don't hold you accountable for breaking the omelette, but anyone trying to teach others about cooking eggs should know that if the butter is browning, then the pan is too hot. The butter should simply be sizzling and releasing vapor, but not browning. Any basic cookbook with an omelette recipe tells you that much.
Tubebrerry
I was thinking the exact same thing
The real trick to making the best eggs/omlettes is lower heat and patience based on the thickness of the pan.
No. Jacques Pepin says to brown the butter slightly for a country french omelette
I put the egg in when the butter starts forming bubbles cause I believe it's the right temp and it makes a perfect omelette
There is no right or wrong way to cook when your homecooking.. it's all a matter of preference. E.g. I think resteraunt style omelets are gross. All you can taste is the egg. Nothing else really comes out besides maybe the cheese and salt. A perfect omelette to me is a far cry from this video.
2 eggs max. Cook the eggs to the consistency of your preference, THEN add ingredients and roll the egg over the ingredients. It's all a matter of preference.
I always forget I'm subscribed to your channel.
Yes, of course we want to see the hashbrown video. Those looked good.
I know, I tend to go awhile between videos. Sorry bout that.

Don’t move the eggs. Keep it on a low heat for the whole time, better result
Some people don't want flat omelette
That makes such a flat and mediocre omelet. This method gives you a much fluffier and superior result.
Ami- lee that is what an omelet pretty much is
@@edwardlikens8924 not really. Yes it's thinner but leaving it on a lower heat your not moving it around as much than you would with a higher heat. It's like it loses the fluffiness. Not sure why that is maybe it's an air thing. It's why I don't cook on lower heat when it comes to eggs.
Yup
I had a sudden craving for an omelette and then realized that I don't really know how to make one lol. Thanks for your very helpful video!
Same as you can come to
I'm only 14 and i tried making this is was great, thanks so much!
Thank you for this tutorial !! Never had better Scrambled eggs
I want to see how you make the hash browns
Anonymous Anonymous I seen you before.
I'll try and get around to it this week sometime. :-)

Joseph Stalin Nawwwwwww
Just made my first ever omelet, an absolute success. Thanks for the video, mine flipped almost perfectly 👌
I like how the omelette broke off. Relatable!
Due to your directions I made my first actual omelette. Thank you! =3
Doesn't milk make the eggs fluffier
Cam and Syd Vlogs idk not an expert
no... water will be.. milk + egg =can be bread texture and easy to burn
Baking powder makes it super fluffy
I've always heard if you want to have creamier eggs you use milk. If you want fluffier eggs you use water.
milk makes it softer. my aunt would do that to my eggs when i was younger so it'd be easy to chew.
This is always the perfect quick dinner for me. I love the way you straightened the omelet out. I have those problems too so know I know what to do!
My mom was so proud of her "little boy" (im 13) cooking in the house. Thanks for the tutorial
If you want the cook the egg a bit more (for those that don’t like “wet” eggs), before you fold, add your accompanying ingredients/cheese/whatever and throw under a broiler (oven safe pans only!) for 30 sec to a min, cheese melts, eggs cooked, no flipping and a perfect omelette. Fold after in pan and slide onto plate... 💯👌🏻
YAY! :) Hashbrowns tutorial, please! Thanks!
I used to try to make an Omelet without much Practice, and it turned into scrambled, but it was really good.
I love omelettes, and I always messed up making them. They always turned into scrambled eggs. I just came back to re learn since it usually takes me a few times to learn some things. Thank you for posting this!
I've always been kind of scared of cooking, but the way you explain it makes me want to try it out! You seem really nice and the omelette turned out lovely! :)
I'm just some random 13 year old trying to learn how to cook an omellette lol. Because, apparently I can cook a lot of food but not omellettes. My mom and dad work too much so I'm trying to cook more for me and my younger siblings.
Really nice coherent job of explaining and hand holding for us rookie omelet makers. Thanks! I certainly feel more confident now.
everytime i feel like making an omelette i come back to this video 🙏🏼
Thank you! Always wondered why my eggs go watery... its the milk!!! Will only use water from now on!
Try turning the omelette on to a plate then sliding it back into the pan to flip it.
Hi from NZ and hoping you have a brilliant 2017 😊
The plate idea is a great one! This is actually the first time an omelet broke on me in forever. I've made omelets all day long for years in restaurants but of course when I turn the camera on, it breaks. Now if I wasn't on camera, it would've been flipped in the air but the stove I cook on for videos isn't at a height that I can flip. And I almost didn't post this video because of that but I wanted to show that even the pros have off days and that it isn't the end of the world. Just gotta work with it. :-)
Oh... didnt know you had so much previous experience... feel a bit silly telling you what to do 😊
But it explains why you are so great at cooking!
I thought eggs that weeped was that they were overcooked. I remember Gordon Ramsey chastise a prison inmate in episode1 of Ramsey Behind Bars.Ramsey special.
It's not the milk, I use milk all the time and mine are not watery.
Looks good, but is there a way to make this without using eggs? I can't eat eggs.
Harambe Harambe LMAO
Harambe um yes use something called invis-a-egg it’s not eggs but it is
No. Its an omelette
For the moment in time that you are craving eggs but can't have them...what a conflict.
Hazmat Sniper 124 Welcome to the joke sir
Followed this to the T. It came out perfect. Probably one of my favorite omelette tutorials.
Outstanding it worked. I made mine with mesquite smoked turkey, sweet peppers, and vanilla onions.. wow so good. the olivia oil and butter really did the trick form not sticking..
Thank you for this, omelets were my life partner's favorite breakfast item. We always went to the Omelet House in Las Vegas during vacation. He also made the best omelets and would always enjoy flipping the eggs I made. I don't eat eggs nowadays, but this still brought back fond memories.
Kawaii Star Because I saw the research on how unhealthy they actually are and the manner eggs are produced for our consumption. Most of my meals are vegan. I became more health-conscious after losing my partner at such a young age.
You're making me hungry! Actually Hangry! That hungry and angry! Rock On Jason!
Actually...
And it's 3pm, 😁. But who says eggs are for breakfast ??😇
Samukelisiwe Patience Lembede me. Also for brunch
@@TheXperience_ZA 7 pm here
Ok..
Ugh this video is the best. I always come back and watch it everytime I'm going to make an omlet
My mom's always loves omelets but I've never been able to make them so I decided to find a video and try for the first time in years and with your video it was a success my mom loved it so much she told me to go make one for my grandpa
disagree with milk comment...never had a problem with it...ever....and the taste is unmatched
Exactly
I'm also confused by that comment lol
I believe this is really a religious question. For me, it depends on what I'll put in the omelette afterwards. Water gives a slightly sharper egg taste. Milk rounds it off a bit more.
Use water
Use milk.
this just makes me hungry. just found your channel, I subbed
My Dad always made these for me and my brothers when we were younger. He passed away 11 years ago and miss him dearly. We never ate an omelette after that cause we never knew how to make em & my mom never liked making em cause she never knew how 😆 lol. Your video has helped me out. Can’t wait to make this me for and my brothers 🤍🥚🍳 Hope they tastes just like my dad’s omelettes ☺️
Now I know why my omelettes never turn out right. I don’t do any of these steps... I will try them out.
sheesh, I want my omelette tighter bro
Same what kinda nonsense is this 😂😂
Tighter?
Sitting Crowd more closed
ofc u were here
sheeeeeeeeee
i’m only 10 and i cook my family breakfast , lunch , and dinner everyday💕
Aww,that's sweet
Good job!☆☆☆
Wow! I've watched a bunch of omelet videos on UA-cam and yours was the winner! It was so on point when you said to keep maneuvering the egg to let the uncook part cook! 👌My omelet came out perfect! Also, Instead of flipping it with the rubber spatula, i flipped it with a regular spatula and it worked better! Thank you for this video!
"it's no big deal it happens to the best of us"
you know he's one of the "best of them" when he cracks eggs with one hand
Lol
If that omelette breaks on me one more time, I swear I'm gonna flip! 😆
15, my friend Bobo always asks for 15 egg omelet when he comes over and raids my kitchen. I am now in the process of moving and changing my name.
That's the only reasonable reaction to someone who wants 15 egg omelets on the regular
My first time making an omelette and your video helped me get it spot on, thanks!
That technique is the same I use whenever I make egg sandwiches! I had no idea I was making unfolded omelets this whole time!
Him: So now's the perfect time to season your eggs
Gordon Ramsay: You don't season them tHAT SOON YOU FUCKING DONKEY!!!!
I want to see how you make hush browns too
Just hush up the browns & you're done 👍

Thanks for this I'm making my family breakfast this weekend so they can all have a break
Makin' the mother of all omelettes here, Jack! Can't fret over every egg!
It's so funny that you posted because yesterday I specifically visited your page to see when the last time you had uploaded was and if I had maybe missed a video. Nope! But I'm glad to see something new so soon after I had thought about you and your vids! Hope you're doing well!! 😊
You as well Miriam!
Like if you think he should make a hashbrown video
He did
Sean Garcia cause the comment section worked for once
I'M SO GLAD I CAME ACROSS YOUR CHANNEL. THANKS FOR THE GREAT VIDS
I used to be a short order cook. We used a huge griddle. I always poured the eggs roughly into a rectangle put the cheese and ham. Folded the short sides over then the long sides
over sealed all of the filling inside. Gave it one flip so the seams side was down. Then plated it up.
People: I watch this to learn
Weird people: I watched this because I'm bored
Me: hey I have the same cutting board
Error 707 ha funny....
Yay, you're back!
Hi! I recently discovered your channel while I was in search of a chicken pot pie recipe. I'm now subscribed and are enjoying your channel. I like the simplicity and down to earth techniques that you share with us. Kudos
Nice video! Looks delicious! I love making omelettes. Usually when I first put the eggs in the pan before the egg starts to cook I throw in all my ingredients. Usually I make a loaded omelette with bacon or ham, fresh mushroom (previously fried to remove moisture), onion and red and green peppers. Cook slow as to not burn the bottom and when it is no longer runny on top add salsa and cheese and flip once to a half moon shape. Even if the egg is a little runny on top when I flip I find the heat in the flipped egg is enough to fully cook it. Really good!
That moment when the video is brighter than the future of mankind.
I just used your recipe today and seriously, this is the best omelette I've ever made! Thank you. I used Buffalo Chicken ham steak to give it a lil kick!
I watched this tutorial a while ago and successfully made a nice omelette but I forgot lol and came back
Thanks so much for sharing. Anytime anyone asked me if I want an omelette I never accept. I thought they had things like onions, hot peppers, and green things in them. I've never made one, but I'm about to. Thanks to you. It looks delicious, and I already have all the ingredients. Thanks again.
Why I'm I the only one here watching to lean how to cook
Saaaame
HASHBROWN
So good my friend. You are so kind to share your goodies with us. Looks so yummy. God bless you.
I like how he actually got kistakes unlike other video, now this is my man 🥺🙏
Have surly missed you glad you are back! I hope you had a great holiday! 😊
You as well! :-)
Me: I'm going to go to sleep early today
Also Me at 1 am: mmm I am never going to make that
(Not intending to offend crouton)
Thank you, simple and easy yet, the fave of almost everyone in the family.
I'm learning how to cook gradually so my patents can be proud and this video really helped me! Thanks a lot!😊
i like how he total destroys the omlet and says just roll with it... yet at the begining of this video he says it will be a returaunt quality omlet... i would return that ish
Only a pleb wouldn't do this. Flat omelet is a sin
I'm here today to make an omelette for my dad, I want to make breakfast for him since its father's day and I'm only 12 So I'm Gonna need a guide!
First omettlet ever! Thank you! Wish I could add a picture.
Thx for letting us know the thought process on the butter and the oil.. Great recipe by the way..
Going to look at your recipe for Hashbrowns..
i love your chanel😘❤️

YES, please share a hash brown video. THX
Very practical demonstration. I feel like what made this video so good is that it was relatable (the omelet breaking in the pan, the crack when you put it unto the plate). These things happen in real kitchens! Thanks for sharing :)
Yeah this looks like me drunk at 2 am thinking I'm making an omelette.
I'm a fan of the tri-fold! I think you need a wider pan for three eggs.
Scott DeGasperis depends how thick you want it
too thick and you'll brown or burn the bottom while the eggs on top are still liquid, especially with this guy using far too high heat........use lower heat and your eggs will remain firm but moist and you won't need to flip the damn thing >
Fucking love your videos. I've made quite a few of ur recipes. and yes to the hash brown video.
Thanks!
Oil AND butter? Well, that’s where I went wrong.
Thank you for these videos, as someone who was never taught how to cook and trying to figure it out on my lonesome, it really helps to have such a calming voice go over things and telling me to just roll with the mistakes. I tend to get into my own head and be quite harsh on myself, so this is quite the nice change of pace.
Have a lovely, lovely day! c:
I’m learning to cook and I want to say that this video helped me tremendously
Do the hashbrowns
Two things: I don't let the butter get brown as it spoils the taste and is not visually appealing so don't have your pan on too high a heat. Also, I find it better to flip my omelet. It takes a bit of practice, but gives a cohesive result. Oh, and best to use a non -stick pan.
Wow for a guy that doesn't like eggs much, this looks really good. I might go try and make it.
You're the reason why I love to cook now :)
make the hash-browns please
Yes, hash browns recipe video, please...
Just tried this out and it tastes great! I could use some more practice, but I am very happy with the results. Thank you!
This was actually easier than I thought it would be. Great video
