flawless it formed the basis for all art and music; a number so important that it could be used across the disciplines of mathematics and physics, and a number so profoundly purposeful that the natural world and the universe would bend to its whims. The Fibonacci Sequence is a string of numbers that begins with zero and one which can be extended infinitely by adding up any two consecutive numbers to find the next in the sequence. The Golden Ratio is a mathematical term used to describe the relationship of two figures, whereby the numbers seem to be in some form of complimentary ratio. To link the Fibonacci Sequence and the Golden Ratio we must look at the ratio between two consecutive numbers in Fibonacci, and observe the pattern this ratio takes as you use ever higher numbers. The Golden Ratio has fascinated the world's most knowledgeable people for millennia since its discovery, and we have seen its influence in some of the finest works mankind has ever produced. Is the Golden Ratio a universal law applied by nature? The evidence seems to suggest so, and the aforementioned Leonardo Da Vinci may have alluded to this in some of his most famous works. - Розваги

It just looks like you're pasting a spiral over pictures.
THE ZOMBIE TRAINER You misunderstand. It's the proportion of the two rectangles that form the spiral that is the focus of those examples. The spiral is following how the ratio continues in that patern in art. The art, archetecture, etc that dont have an actual spiral still have forms that fit into 1/1.6~
But the rectangles also have no baring on the picture behind them...
i1.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/076/057/28a.jpg
Many of those spiral pictures are on ethernet. Art majors like architect, or just arts, usually teach the golden number in the very first semesters, and you have to draw it, make the proportion, etc, using a compass, and angle rule. It's fun, hard to understand how, why, the sequence of the numbers, but it does applies in everything perfectly proportione or geometric. You can find the golden ratio even in the universe.
These idiots are American, I would bet my life on it... The ignorance is blissful I guess. Its because the spiral and what is in the spiral follows the ratio of *a+a is to a as a is to b* the examples in the spiral follow this idiots. - duh. I suck at math and even I understand this. Apparently you can and it is simply accepted as science by everyone.
Just like ignoring aaaalll the instances in nature where it doesn't appear.

Just putting a spiral image over a park doesn't make the park utilize the sequence.
Okay this is really dumb the more I watch. You say that "DNA even adheres to this 'divine proportion'" which is understandable when you lay a golden ratio image over an image of DNA. You don't even explain how, and then just say, "it's true!" It may be true for some things but the level of inaccuracy and not explaining specifically what you mean by "utilizes the ratio" means is ridiculous.
I just want to let you know, you are wrong in saying this. It is not saying that DNA adheres to the shape, but the number ratio: 1 to 1.6-- and so on. This is being explored because it is a mathematical idea that shows up everywhere. It isn't the shape that is special, but the ratio.
Thank you, but that was not my argument. I know that the number and ratio is apparent in a multitude of locations. My argument is that the video does not clarify.

*It's about the ratio.*
It's so fascinating but i don't understand anything it's weird. Have heard about the golden ratio sense 2018 i think.
Yeah but it’s how it’s placed to get the ratio
So Fibonacci introduced it to the west in 1202 after learning it from E. Indians who identified it over 1000 years earlier; YET it was employed by the Egyptians to build the pyramids between 2589-2504BC.
LOL
sadly for you, egyptians didnt build any piramids or the Osirion is a example
It was transferred, as most information, he who can repeat it the loudest becomes most known for his story, Fibonacci basicly informed most scolars/students. And there for we now recall him for this
If it were not don’t intentionally that would be plausible.
Parabellum Invicta you’re right egyptians didn’t. It was the original ppl in Kemet
I am confused. It looks like they are just putting that spiral shape on top of things and saying it lines up. I am not even seeing them line up. I can put a strange shape, like a curved line, over things too and say look at that. wow. I obviously am missing something. Will someone please enlighten me??? I have heard of this before and am still at a loss. Logically something is not clicking in my brain.
Kimberly Preston sacred geometry
Its simple. Some how, everything has been created according to the golden ratio sins beginning of time weather it was understood or not. I mean they explain it in the video. To not sound overly adamant, I must ads add that this seems to be the case and is an interesting coincidence wich may be false. I don't have the time or the know-how to prove or disprove it so i' d leave it to the experts. What I know is that I saw this a lot in art class to make art scene more dynamic.
Some of them seem far fetched but others like the ancient Greek building have surprising similarities to the spiral. Look particularly at the lines, see where they cross.
phi is a ratio that emerges naturally in mathematics and geometry. anybody that claims its evidence of a creator doesn't know what theyre talking about.
Kimberly Preston go outside your house look at a tree and look at it closely branch to branch look at the space the rhythms of space between them if you don't see it. eat some mushrooms and look at trees flowers weeds it will show its self,, don't forget to smell the flowers

Johnny this is the 5th lesson
Lol at everyone so confused by this. You aren't supposed to literally see the spiral in things. All that the spiral shows at the core level is what the RATIO looks like. You don't see that LITERAL spiral pattern in things, you see the RATIO that is prevalent in that spiral pattern ON and IN other things- think sea shells, flowers. Think about the way a flower BLOOMS, imagine a rose. It has a small compact bud that gets bigger and blooms out more and more as it goes outwards- like the spiral patterns ratio does also. It's about how the numbers 1,1,2,3,5,8,13, etc are a perfect pattern that creates a certain ratio that we can clearly see in nature and in so many other things. It is the reason why certain things look more or less aesthetically pleasing to you. Artists try to emulate this in their art so that their art has the same mystical beauty that nature does and so that they can capture a scene as though you were actually looking at it in real life. Look up "rule of thirds" if you want to learn more about this, its relevant to the fibonacci series as well.
FUCKING THANK YOU.
samjustsaid Why do you only have 23 subscribers for being a god of knowlegde.
No problem, I'm currently studying illustration and we learn about this extensively. I never had any issues with understanding it as I was aware of the sequence and patterns even as a child (why i'm a proficient illustrator) before I'd ever even heard of fibonacci or the sequence of numbers that make up the ratio. When children are more adept at drawing than adults- it is because they can see the pattern/ratio (whether they know it or not) and know how to emulate it in their designs, making their drawings much more realistic. It's like the difference between someone who draws hair as lines, and someone who draws hair as the long flowing/tapering form that it really is.
Now that you guys know it'll be hard to not see it in everything. This might blow your mind-
even your fingernails show the ratio. Look at your nail and see how the outsides taper off and get thinner and thinner till they meet your cuticle. Notice how the farther from the cuticles your nail gets, the wider and thicker it gets. A nail left untrimmed for a couple weeks is drastically longer in the middle, and tapers more and more as it gets to the outside until it becomes tiny and nothing when it meets the cuticle. Exactly the same as this ratio does.

I agree it is, I think it's hard to place the relevance of the fibonacci sequence on Geography as you have to remember that the continents used to exist as one and we are not able to see the way in which land has actually changed over time (we can only hypothesize based off of what we currently know).

All I see is that golden ration drawn on top of any picture and lines don't even align but you say they follow the ratio? lol
I think its just simplified but we're too dumb
perhaps the spiral is causing more confusion then needed. Its not really about the spiral, but the aspect ratio of the elements. IE. they attempted to show the roman/greek/ pillars using the ratio in width and height, but needed to do it in 2 seperate stages with the 2 spirals.
The spiral itself just identifies each section rather then having some random grid overlaying the image. but having said that, they botched it majorly, because the left section includes the stairs, the right doesnt...
So ultimately, they are just pasting spirals over pictures and hoping for the best.
The golden ration? Can I have one? Sounds tasty.

"So clearly the golden ratio and the Fibonacci sequence have a connection that we haven't worked out yet"
The proof of the connection has been known for hundreds of years, and it comes from the properties of the algebraic expression of the golden ratio. The golden ratio is (1 + 1*sqrt(5))/2. When we multiply this by itself, we get (6 + 2*sqrt(5))/4 = (3 + 1*sqrt(5))/2, and when we multiply this by the golden ratio, we get (8 + 4*sqrt(5))/4 = (4 + 2*sqrt(5))/2. Continuing the process, we get (7 + 3*sqrt(5))/2, (11 + 5*sqrt(5))/2, (18 + 8*sqrt(5))/2, (29 + 13*sqrt(5))/2, .... The pattern in the coefficient of the sqrt(5) is the Fibonacci sequence, and the pattern in the natural number coefficient is the Lucas number sequence. The Lucas numbers are basically the Fibonacci numbers, except you start with 1 and 3, instead of 0 and 1. If you want to eliminate the Lucas numbers, and just stick to the Fibonacci sequence, you can produce a second sequence of powers starting with (1 - 1*sqrt(5))/2 (which is the other root produced by the quadratic polynomial you solve to compute the golden ratio), where each term is multiplied by (1 - 1*sqrt(5))/2. This sequence keeps the Lucas numbers the same, but the Fibonacci numbers are now negative, so you can subtract the two sequences to get the Fibonacci sequence (multiples by 2, divided by 2 and multiplied by sqrt(5)). The multiplication by 2 and division by 2 cancel out, so you just need to divide by sqrt(5) to get a formula for computing Fibonacci numbers using only powers of the solutions of x^2 - x - 1 = 0 (divided by sqrt(5)). Because the golden ratio is the larger of the two roots ((1 + sqrt(5))/2 = 1.61803, and (1 - sqrt(5))/2 = - 0.61803), the ((1 + sqrt(5))/2)^n will approach infinity, but because the magnitude of the other root is less than 1, the ((1 - sqrt(5))/2)^n will approach 0 linearly, so, larger and larger terms of the Fibonacci sequence can be approximated by powers of the golden ratio, so the ratio of successive Fibonacci sequence terms will approach the golden ratio.

the golden ratio in art and nature is a perfect example of how strong conformation bias is
Yup. That's the only "perfect" thing about it.

Try it. It's not as easy as you think. Perhaps the objects that adhere to the Golden Ratio are more attractive, aiding their fame?
You're stupid.
Either have your script read by someone who understands the topic or have a director who can get them to do it again when they get it wrong.
"The Fibonacci sequence is a string of numbers that begins with 0 and 1, which can be extended infinitely..." is right.
If you read it as "The Fibonacci sequence is a string of numbers that begins with 0, and one which can be extended infinitely..." it is wrong.
Paul Kennedy Technically I'd say that's grammatically correct as well, as it does start with zero and it is one (string of numbers) that can be extended infinitely. Though I do agree that's probably not how that sentence was meant to be read.

the amount of times fidget spinners have been spun
I hope you noticed that number is smaller than two
Super NIK lol destroyed
I purposely meant the numbers behind the 1, which is infinite.
Too many
Niels Meijs however, it is still less than 2 whole spins.
Wait a minute, I have seen this spiral thingy before...
JOHNNY WE FOUND THE GOLDEN RECTANGLE
Fun fact the fibonacci sequence has been proved to be the best way to pack the most of one thing(dna strands, petals, seeds, tree branches etc)and its found everywhere in nature because nature always seeks the most efficient way to do things
Wrong fact. No one has "proved" anything you said. There is nothing special or metaphysical about the the fibonacci sequence or about phi as you are implying
Everyone knows the most important number on earth is 420.
hear hear! :D ppp
ghost walk hell yeah
Get a life loser
Nice :)
nuh, the most important nahmber is 42
Spoiler alert
It’s important because steel ball run wouldn’t exist without it
Yes.
There’s a lot less Tool comments than I anticipated. 😂
most tools aren't nerdy enough to care.
Spiral out homie
Lmao, that's what i came here for.

this made no sense and was terribly explained. it was also in a list for absolutely no reason.

No there was a reason for listing - proven time and again to generate more likes / patreon / subscribes / views / etc
These idiots are American, I would bet my life on it... The ignorance is blissful I guess. Its because the spiral and what is in the spiral follows the ratio of *a+a is to a as a is to b* the examples in the spiral follow this idiots. - duh. I suck at math and even I understand this. What ignorance... you must be in a state of perpetual bliss to be that ignorant.
Dern Vader Yes, but calm down
Dern Vader I always get a kick out of insecure morons who play smart on the internet. Seems like you're the one who parrots information, pretending you understand any of it, and, is living "ignorantly in bliss". Pretending you are intellectually superior to others based on a UA-cam comment, with an idiotic meaningless comment of you're own, is clear sign of delusion. And "I'd be willing to bet my life" you're a fool, one who thinks they're much smarter then they truly are
The answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything is actually 42.
Why??
Right, but what’s the question?
Somebody in this book made a device to think for a long time. And finally it came up with an answer.42.
humans, we certainly like making patterns out of randomness
Chaos doesn't exist without order.
Left doesn't exist without right.
Light doesn't exist without dark.
UA-cam doesn't exist without internet

@@Ezael115 I mean, it true actually.
SteveRay911 numbers don’t lie, but you’re right at the same time.
So you paste a spiral on something then boom? golden ratio?
How to prove the... GOLDEN RATIOOOOOoooo..... In 2 qiuick steps!
1) put a spiral on whatever
2) done!
If it someways doesn't work put another one and do it over again to point when it's that messed up that you can't see the original thing! Golden Ratio APPROVED!!!
or just put multiple of them so all of them somehwat fit just a tiny bit to the picture. and profit.
You must be very illiterate when it comes to math.
the golden ratio is what happens when you have 2 lengths, A & B, such that
(A / B) = (A + B) / B
the short leg, compared to the long leg, is the same as the long leg compared to both legs put together. this only happens at a very specific ratio.
What this video is really saying is you can find lots of roundness in the universe.
4:56 mathematical cringe-fest as spirals are randomly placed over famous paintings. Why? Why would you do that?
Trevor Clive yeah I don’t get why the did that either, kinda forced
Yeah this is just clickbait. Stuff like this only ruins it for everyone
It's because all the buildings and paintings are constucted in ratio of the rectangle 5 and 13 cm
You got to be able to analyze a picture N C the relations!
I feel like I'm being introduced to a cult
Do you have the urge of killing the 23rd president because jesus told you to?

Well, I, an intellectual, know that the real use of the Golden Ratio is to spin your family's Steel Balls in the everlasting Golden Spiral in order to create a spin so powerful it can be used to pry-off entire arms at a time.
Looks like someone either skipped a lesson or didn't read the book at all.
Mine0Taur OMG. JoJo fans are everywhere
How do you do fellow JoJo intellectual

The most important number in this video is 0 because it equals the amount of sense it makes.
can we collaborate about this idea. because i think that there is ant-fibronanci which is = 0

@AleXtreme i also think that zero its a number which having a highly probability of exist as any number all the time.
nekov4ego some people just dnt get it w low IQ
nekov4ego it would make sense if you had an IQ above 16
"Why e is important?" -Ah come on! I know, it is the true beauty of nature existed in a lot of flowers, body shapes, paintings, blablabla.. I don't need to watch another video about e.
**Insert e shaped the galaxy.** - OK, you caught me.
The golden ratio describes patterns on everything from atoms to stars. The ratio is derived from the Fibonacci sequence. This sequence had been described in Indian Mathematics since 200 BC. Fibonacci introduced the sequence in his book Liber Abaci in 1202. Great video.

Now I ain't no mathematician but it seems to me that nature follows the law of find the path of least resistance.
The path of least resistance is phi, great video.

Mathematics is EVERYWHERE especially in nature. I saw a documentary about prime numbers and there is a complex rule called the zeta function. It was really interesting. You could go a lifetime learning about mathematics and still not learn even 1 % of it.
This is like watching a documentary narrated by the narrator from the Leisure Suit Larry games. Do a saucy video on swimsuit and bikini history so I can be sure you really sound like him.
i recently made a presentation about the golden ratio. Short explanation: Its just a proportion that looks very harmonic for the human eye and its found everywhere. For example in the human body(shoulder to elbow to fingertips), device screens, perfect pentagrams etc...
Every one of us has a golden ratio on the back of our heads. This specific use of it is to perfectly distribute hair in every possible direction across our scalp to achieve a "full" look. It results from the golden ratio being the most irrational number thus things produced with the proper, infinite number of the golden ratio would, theoretically, be completely random. This randomness is demonstrated at 08:00. The flower head needs to distribute its seeds in as many directions as possible to spread them most effectively for reproduction. The golden ratio has, in my opinion, an infinite amount of uses from the chance of your existence and the specific way you look (perhaps the location of a mole which could have an infinite amount of different places to exist on your body) to simply the way a hurricane looks.
