Moducase DF130 Assembly & shelf installation

- Here is how to assemble the DF130 from moducase. and install the full and half shelf. This particular case has some small upgrades from the last series and is part of upcoming releases.

the most complicated thing to assemble that I have ever tried in my life, putting together safely and without damaging them my 6xDF60 and 3xDF120 plus the LEDs and the drawers... holy cow! A nightmare that took me months and for which I risked breaking something dozens of times.
I also had to give up on assembling the LEDs, because it has to be done while assembling everything else and can't be done later, and I'd much rather not have to reassemble everything.
It certainly cannot be said that they are easy to assemble and above all they require a loooooong, loooong time and maximum human patience possible.
in fact your video is also linked on their site because their own instructions are completely useless to understand anything about how to assemble this hell. If I could go back I don't think I would buy all this again and I would spend those 3000+ dollars differently.

Dude, please allow me to say...your video was the most helpful of all the assembly videos on UA-cam. You explain slowly and clearly and you bring the camera closer when needed. This helped a lot with getting my DF60 assembled. Thank you!

Thanks for this helpful video! I ordered my first DF130 and it is arriving soon. I am a little apprehensive assembling it. I will take it slow and refer to your instructions. It is hard to see what part of the frame to assemble first and then in ascending order. The assembly instruction PDF on Moduspace site is a little cryptic.

Dude I just want to let you know your a god dame saint lol I just received my 2 custom max and 4 DF custom SERIES and I was able to put together my max but when it came to the DF I had so much issues trying to get the middle and back bars attached. Your videos help me out so much in this entire process so I just wanted to say thank you

@@thecollector7347 your videos saved my ass on the DF SERIES so much so I even mentioned it to Bryan. I do have a question for you because I’m a little bit confused cause I watched a lot of different videos that you posted and I went to the moducase directions and it just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever my back panel holes are on the top corners and there more squared but I saw on some of your videos you have them in the bottom and their circle and I believe that may be an older model now I just received my two days ago. I have the newer models am I wrong that I built all the back panels with the holes on the TOP CORNERS ?? Send help dude lol

you're welcome. they aren't cheap. But They will keep your collection safe, and they make displaying this much easier and I feel I enjoy my collection more after I got this display. :)

Can anyone help with installing the enhancement bar kit for the DF130? I have the picture instructions from Moducase PDF but it is not clear to me, which is back, which is front, when you put the bar on, etc. I searched for a video to demonstrate this, but have no luck finding any help. Appreciate any help.

you can place these anywhere you like, its great for different size collectables

hey. it does put up some resistance but you can get it in there for sure, there's a way you could place it in the bottom and then put on the top bar and avoid sliding it in altogether, but that would be a different route in building them
Has anyone put another led strip on the bottom of the added full shelf?
I have not, but its a good idea

I wanted to build an “L” shape display using stacked DF120s on each side and a DF130 connecting them. Do you know if the lip on the front of the 130 would prevent using that side of the case as a connection point for one stack of 120s? I would need 2 back panels for the 130 being the corner display. Which I’m guessing is a special order item. Any thoughts would be great. Think these cases look great.

Hey! thanks for your kids words. I didn't get that bar with my DF130, but I would assume its a lot like the middle bar on a DF120?
I ordered the enhancement to support more weight in the moducase. It says it works in DF60/DF130. I wish I can find a help video to install it, but cannot find anywhere on youtube :(
Hi, love your video and it helped with the setup of my moducase, but I also got the 30kg enhancement and I’m having a hard time figuring out the correct orientation for the brackets and bar. Do you have any recommendations?
Anyone have some more info about the 30kg enhancements? Maybe the original poster cause its posted a year ago :)
Can you install the half shelf so that it fits side to side instead of front to back. Idk if that makes any sense, but like so the screws are installed in the two back panels instead of one back panel and one front panel..
I never tried this, but I can't see why it wouldn't work. you can message them to be sure tho
Just stumbled upon this video. First off great video and very informative. I myself ordered the Max150 and shelf. I was looking to purchase additional spot lights for the statues below. Is this able to be done? And if so where do you connect the lights to as the additional shelf didn't look like there was a place to hook them up? Hope to hear from you
hey! I used the light stripes, so I'm not sure about the spot lights. I am pretty sure that there's no way to put any of the bottom. I do know moducase is working on something for the bottom tho, in prototype phase
@@thecollector7347 Thanks for the reply. So not even the light strips will work if I want to hook up a light underneath the shelf? 1 more question as I am very new to this. I feel like I might have made a mistake. I've had ppl tell me that the Max150 comes with the adjustable shelf and I didn't need to order an extra one. Do you know if this is true or is that a separate purchase.
@@kAOtikOnSlaugHT you might be able to add another strip light to a shelf and run the Cable inside the rail, not something I tried yet tho. I haven't bought any of The Maxx ones so I'm not sure what they come with, the website should be able to tell you, or contact them directly !
So do you think that once you put actually statues in there you won't need any more lighting? I have the same model on order and that bottom area looked pretty dark without even the statues in it?

I think the LED strip will do just fine. I don't own many statues, but I'll put the few I do own in it, and we can have a look?
Hey, man. Great video as always. I wanted to ask a question regarding this moducase. Would this be able to hold sideshow life size the child and tots good guy doll together or would I need to buy two separate cases? Thank you.
thanks. I would say it could hold both. I have the child on order myself. Im not use of the size of the good guy doll. assuming the Childs play one isn't any bigger then 25 inches in hight, you could have both in the case as long as you get the extra shelf.
The Collector Thanks for the reply, man. The child is 16.5” and the good guy is 32”.
@@Gojira_431 the total Hight for this case is 51 inches, you might be pushing it trying to get both inside if the good guy is that tall. unless you can get him to sit?
Would you say this is a direct upgrade from having 2 DF60 stack on top of each other? Since it looks to be cheaper too
its the same as 2 DF 60s for sure. but offered freedom to install a shelf, so you have the ability to do more with taller figures, stacking 2 60s means the "shelf" they make between cases isn't movable
Do you use wall anchors to secure the Moducase to your wall?
no, not for these, but if you go any higher then 3 cases it might be a good idea

Could this support the weight of a TV on it?
if you were to put a strong board over the top, then I think so. But not just by itself, no.
Is there an option with these to purchase a 2nd full shelf?
you can buy as many of those as you like! full and half ones. they are great

How long did it take to get yours mine order been in since February
Ordered in September. But I told him to take his time getting to me. They at at the mercy of a supplier for materials I believe and that takes time. This Covid Situation isn't helping. But they are worth the wait. you'll get what you ordered for sure.

Strange a company forwards me to a guy just like me to install this thing. Instructions are shit they give you. Very amateurish. I understand maybe a language barrier. All other instructions give detailed pictures
