In this video I'm making a leather pouch style knife sheath for a Spyderco Mule. The video shows all the steps involved and I've tried to make this somewhere between the short videos I do with no talking and the longer tutorials - anyone wanting more detail than shown here should check out my longer videos.

we always give the credit to the blacksmith , but the craftman that make the sheath is the one who trully deserve to be respected, there is more work in a nice quality sheath than most of knive. thanks sir !

I just finished making my first sheath and wanted to say thanks for making such an incredibly informative video. There's so much information around, and so many videos, this boils it all down and explains it so clearly it was like having somebody who knows what they're doing standing over my shoulder the whole way through. Mine didn't come out perfectly, obviously, but it's a hundred times better than it would've been if I'd just try to have a go based on all the different videos/forum posts/blogs etc that I've looked at. Thanks a million, Ian.

I've been a long time subscriber and have to credit you completely for my own leatherworking skills, so thank you. I'm glad you're still doing videos in this format (longer w/ voiceover). Even though I've done this type of project many times over It's great to see someone else go through the motions and see the subtle differences and techniques. Great work, as always, Ian. Thank you!!!

It's always a beautiful thing to watch a master of his craft create a work of art. Leather, metal, wood... these materials speak to us on a primitive level and to see them formed into tools is to see something magical. While I'm searching for tools, I've been watching videos to learn the basics and get some theoretical knowledge to prepare myself and let me tell you that I have learned a lot from this video! Stunning. A great sheath makes a world of difference when using a knife. As a Bushcrafter I like to have my knife available and secure. A good wet form makes the difference. I however prefer a dangler then a belt fit. As a wheelchair user I’m sitting all the time so having my knife hang by my side is best. Great making video. Oh one thing I thing would be good for people to know is about moisture. A water drain hole in the sheath makes keeping your knife in good condition.

Wow... you had an earlier video on making a knife sheath that I learned SO much from. I make knives and sheaths and probably watched that video a half dozen times.
I see that you've improved your own skills a lot since then. Lots of new refinements here that are really useful. So many little things that will improve my own work. I think I'll be watching this one a few more times as well.
