Thank you so much for these instructional videos. I re upholster furniture, but have been helping teach my brother in law how to refurbish his E type jaguar automobiles. As he is a noted SME on authentic engine restorations, the seat restorations have to be true to the original fabrication. I used your seat and this pattern video as training material. We have made test covers and he was very pleased. Thank you again for the high level of detail, it makes all the difference.
Glad to be of help
Thank you. So interesting to see how this is done.

I use white cambric fabric for patterning. Found it works better for me but seeing other people methods is always good to know.
Thanks for sharing!
I asked about this stuff a while back. Thanks for the video. I was able to find a US version here. Got 10 yards coming
That's good to know
What was it called?
@@thetruthwithin1 dura Skrim it’s $7.70 US a yard x54”. Seems like it’s about the same stuff you did this video of. I’m excited to try it out soon
The fact is the information gained here is good for any vehicle! So important to learn as much as possible. There is no vehicle that is complete until the interior is done!
Well said Steven, thanks for watching

I am looking for some spreadable glue for leather. With so many brands not sure wich ones are good. Do you have any suggestions? I am based in the UK. Thanks
What type of leather are you using and what are you gluing it to?
@@coastalcushionco8227 I mainly use veg tan leather. And looking for some brushable glue ( something similar to resistol 5000 or vl 2000) to bond leather pieces together. Thanks
I use ego stick impact
@@darklabelleather try Variotex GT30 from Germany, maybe it's good for you.

Is what 4 by 8
I'm surprised you didn't add a seam allowance before cutting. Do you find it easier to add once you start cutting your materials?
I love using plastic to make my patterns but I primarily make outdoor covers; I'm not brave enough to get into automotive yet!
I only add seam allowance to patterns that I put on to mylar
How to do patterns on a 3D plastic piece?
Have a piece here, it's so hard to make a perfect pattern, with the foil too.
Maybe you can do a small video
Thanks in advance

The plastic looks like tyvek home wrap
I don't think its the same, the plastic is wider than tyvek @81" and costs less
