I have to resorted to 'relief cuts' to easier go around corners. I have placed the vinyl piece with round edges below the other straight rectangular vinyl piece on top. I have chosen the metric system hence my 'seam allowance is of 10 mm'. The stitches are 3mm long and I have used polyester thread N°92 (número 8). The sewing machine needle is 110=18 size.
I hope you find this information useful!

Where can I find that guide you're using?
@@bluegrassallodial6592 I made it out of a piece of stainless steel sheet. I cut it with tinsmith scissors.
There is another kind of guides we could purchase on internet: ua-cam.com/video/8AT5qDjwMsY/v-deo.html

¡Muchas gracias por ver los videos!
this seems so stressful and hard to do. I guess I'm even too oversensitive with "fun" stuff like sewing, I'd be so stressed out every inch of it. I really need to appreciate rounded things in fabrics much more and the people behind them who have to figure these things out every day for little pay
We are referred to as "unskilled labor".
Excelent video, you are a Maestro!
Como siempre, vídeos de alto nivel de aprendizaje.
Muchas gracias por apreciar estos videos instructivos. En un rato mas estaremos publicando un video parecido de como coser esquinas. No se lo pierda, está interesante.

Great work , now how do you sew on the other half? I just create new covers for my boat and use the old as a template. What a pain in the but to sew on the bottom .
Wish I saw this before I started my Project :)
Thank you so much !
Amazing.
Great job. Now let’s see you topstitch it.
Good technique. I like the sewing guide. Did you make it yourself?
I made the sewing guide out of a piece of metal sheet. It is very hepful.
Thanks a lot for all your videos and explanations! I learnt a lot!
This is fine workmanship and you are even an artist how accurate and beautiful your results are!
I have a question: In this video you have the boxing on top. I repeat a previous comment: with the boxing on top you have your relief cuts on the boxing when you turn left and on the curvy piece when you turn right.
How are you placing the relief cuts when the boxing is on bottom? Are the relief cuts just important to ease the sewing or do the relief cuts also depend to which side the seam allowance is folded when the piece is finished?
Danke schön aus Deutschland und Alles Gute für Dich!
Dear friend, The main purpose for the 'relief cuts' is try to keep the edges of both pieces straight in order to do an easy sewing with our sewing machine.
Best Wishes from Mexico!
When your sewing you should have the curvy piece on top and the straight piece on bottom, It is a lot easier to sew. Still came out very good.
I would recommend to have the curvy piece under the straight piece on top. Of course, there are some exceptions, but not much. Do a try to verify both options.
Thanks for watching the video!
Very proud of your professional workmanship. Can this also be done on denim material?
Yes, same technique can be done.
Это очень полезное видео. Спасибо. Вопрос -- этот метод работает только с искусственной кожей? или с натуральной кожей тоже возможно применять?
The techniques can also be appied on real leather material.
Thanks so much for watching the videos!
Cool!

Hi,
I have the same Pfaff 1245 as you, do you have any advice on where I could buy a foot like the one in your video and the piping feet attachments for the machine?
Thanks,
Grady

God Bless You!
What stitch length do you recommend when sewing vinyl? More specifically vinyl with curves like in the video. Thanks
3 mm as a minimum for the stitches. Thin needle 90=14 to 110=18 Thin thread too. Standard upholstery 92 thread size
Nice
