The Cloud and Raspberry pi lab sounds cool and implementing security into it. I want to setup a homelab to work on securing AI programs and secure code. Just somewhere where I can try to break my code or programs and then try and fix it. So basically a DevSecOps environment.

I’ve set up an attack simulation homelab on virtualbox already. But the fifth one you mentions, the compliance / ansible lab sounds very interesting. How would I go about setting that up?

You could install it on on one of you machines docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/installation_guide/intro_installation.html#installing-ansible-on-specific-operating-systems and create various playbooks based on your setup to check for various things. Can a felon work for Cybersecurity/I.T.?

Jim, I am sure it is a yes and no pending so many factors. While I am not sure if this pertains to you but as a son to a mother who will be facing this soon…there are options for felons in the work force. I would think time is a factor as it relates to when it was committed and sentence having been satisfied. Federal jobs might be more strict with protocols, but never forget be honest on your application and you may very well surprised when you explain things it gives you an opportunity to explain yourself. This also allows you to earn their trust and let them know of your journey and accomplishments. I worry for my mothers opportunities and how she will be treated but I do have hope in humanity and that her hard work will pay off, and hard work does pay off!
