BUTTERFLY BAIT TRAP PLACEMENT IDEAS

We love using fermenting fruit bait to survey butterflies and moths, especially in the Florida Keys. In this video we are in the lower Keys and are trying to find new species of moths. We are looking for places to put out or place our traps and there are a number of challenges we encountered.

The challenges of fieldwork. You can find the best location, set the perfect trap, use the perfect bait, and still go home empty-handed (while seeing a dozen or more of what you're looking for on your hike back to the truck).

Its supposed to be summer here, weather has been dreadful, not many buggy nights :(
