im a bassist, and from the moment i say anythony's crazy faces and little sausage fingers flyin up and down the fret board i instantly knew he was one of the best on the planet. this is an AWESOME jam.
I saw them live ... and I have to say that I´ve never heard a bass live sound like the one of Mr. Jackson ... and it was not only the Fodera (his bass) ... it was his playing, precision and definition in his fingering that amazed me. His playing is inspiring to any musician as well as Mr. Camilo. Great trio.
anthony, one of the best player around, its true you can just see it just even from this one preformance thats he does. michel and horacio are killers as well, what a band
honestly with all respect to other bassist such amaizing wooten steve..clarke miller ..jackson i the best and the others basist know it cause jackson knows more about deep harmony...he is just insane his skliis
So many of the old post-bopsters from the late 50's would be swallowing their dentures if they were around to hear this...I keep thinking about the stuff Hancock did with Willie Bobo....how they would have killed for this kind of clarity...much less this kind of chops...
@jw22345 Jeez! Why do musicians have to think like this? By that strain of ultra-liberal blindness, who are "we" to "make" music? Isn't "sound" just as good as "silence"? If someone thinks he's the best bass player he shouldn't be told not to think anything. Anthony Jackson is "better" than Mark Hoppus. But let me guess, not to everyone right?
