This reminds me of junior high. we built 16 scale soapbox derby cars with a CO2 cartridge from a BB gun that propelled it. They had to have a string and eye hooks on the underside to keep them in track but it was awesome and I truly think that's one of the first moments I knew I like to go fast.
This is like man lab, top gear, street outlaws all in one amazing package. I can't imagine how much work really goes into the show

Hey Farm, contact the Blue Angle's and find out where they get their, "short launch" rockets, they use on the C-130, for their airshows. After the air assist is exhausted, the rockets can be fired to maintain forward velocity...

Seeing Farmtruck in the Spitwad with his head cocked to the side reminded me of the time I went for a ride a long in a mid 9 second drag car. I was too tall for the cage but I wasn’t going to miss making out on making a pass so I cocked my head over just like Farm.

My idea is to add a telescope inner tube on the airtank trailer that expands twice the length.
And another idea is to add an airtank inside to use as a stage 2 thrust after pressure pipe release time.
If you know what I mean.

As a PCP rifle enthusiast, I find this creation to be pretty cool. Moreso the air power and related science of it all.
I desperately needed a good laugh, I'm having a hip replacement on Monday and have been busy getting ready, I was CRYING from laughing soo hard when I watched your first episode on Outlaws where you found and tested out the air bags... I had to watch it twice! I know what I'll be watching and catching up on next week post op!!! You guys are great, thank you. ❤

Have to watch later still at work, but hell yeah...
so I think the best way to make this thing go faster/ farther and get ride of the sonic boom would be to add a tank inside the car at the end of the pipe opposite side of launch side. This of how a silencer on a gun works, it basically is a bunch of seperate chambers providing a space for the high velocity air escaping from the barrel to be temporarily held. This in turn lets the gas take longer to be released out of the end of the gun helping to quiet it down. this is why i think a take in the car that could capture the air temporarily holdinging longer and letting it escape over a period. not only should it remove the sonic boom but it also should power the car for a little longer as the pressure equlizes as it continues to escape down the track. it would also probably help with the violent release as well extending the period of acceleration hopefully making easier to handle as the driver.

Really enjoyed seeing the video the other day. I didn’t know that you hadn’t planned on an eighth mile run. I honestly figured you’d have an expansion chamber at the end of the pipe ahead of Asian with possibly another behind him for more distance. As long as the pipe in the car is built rigid enough that type of addition is always a possibility to get more volume before the pipe completely exhausts. Good quality 60,80 and 120 gallon compressor tanks are everywhere for that type of addition. You could also add an electric or mechanical dump valve on a tank ahead of your driver if you wanted to still cap off the pipe thru the center of the chassis and add an extra pipe and jet type nozzle for it to discharge after your initial 330 foot or even at the 60. By the way congratulations on the kickass 60 foot time we saw you guys discussing with Shawn at the track the other day. Anyway, keep up the great work and try to keep all your fingers and toes attached so the craziness can continue. 👍

Add an additional two pipes that only go about half way up the car. That could give you an extra 30% acceleration off the line.
We dont enjoy the nitrous chair video. We enjoy seeing a real friendship. You new that was worse than expected and you showed sincere regret and azns demeanor changed to reflect he was not being funny at that moment. It showed your friendship was not just for tv. This was nothing like a "jackass" stunt where one tries to hurt the other and thinks it's funny. You can see your legit concern and see a real trust had been broken. I'm glad you both were able to patch things up. Also loved when azn brought you a puppy to help you through your grief.

There starting a new class of racing 60ft air drags
If you cup a Teflon seals with the cup facing toward the end of the pipe you will not lose any pressure thru the entire stroke and gain much more speed. Look in a screw on soda cap and you can see how the cupped seal keeps the soda fresh from the inside pressure on the seal keeps it sealed to the outside. I know the guy who patented thus type of seal and made bookoo money off it. I was a gunner on 81mm mortars in the Military and they use the same type of seal on the mortar round.

I am sure you know that air rifles use up to and beyond 4500 PSI of air . Tanks and compressors as well as booster pumps are readily available .
If the racing thing doesn't work out, you could launch pumpkins.
Ok , wen yall stop playing with compressed air to launch that thing ..put a rear end under the rear , and put a hayabusa engine in the back , with NOS2 of course and take it to Bonneville.. as a streamliner.. you're so close now it's crazy..do it on TV it could be a hell of an event .. I'll bet you could pick up the sponsors you need fairly easily to do this .. personally I've always wanted to make a speed run on the flats .. in order to really step it up ..use a standard trans out of like an S-10 between the hayabusa engine and the rear end so you can split gears like on a semi but instead is 10 to 13 gears you should have 24 at your disposal.. you could see some really crazy speed out of that thing ..I can only imagine the top end on that thing ..lol .. it's all a matter of just how crazy are you ? And you may want to either remove the wings on the front or tilt them downwards to apply down force on the front to avoid blow overs ...and keep it steerable..

That's a legal way to drive it on the street....less than 10mph....I would think with and electric motor or lawnmower engine just to move it around.
