    Corrections: 1 :01 - the unit has 2x USB-C (TB4); 12 :13 - meant the T14s (easier to open). 26 :42: T14 Gen 2 has a more accessible pricing (vs X1 Carbon/Nano/Yoga 9/Titanium Yoga, etc).

    Very nice review! It's refreshing to see a review that doesn't just cover the same few statistics.
    There are so many different lines of lenovo ThinkPads, which you can create with similar builds. Do you have any advice for me, who is having trouble deciding which model to go with?

      L14 / T14 are the safe bets. The E14 gen 2 line is more entry focused

    180 degree opening is not for any usage but to prevent breaking the hinges and screen by accident.

    Great review! I have the Ryzen 7 Gen 1, so would love to see this vs new Intel etc as well. Some cross comparison.
    Could you say how the new Intel with XE graphics compares to the Ryzen 7 gen 1? And when there is a new Ryzen version, how much better it is than Gen 1? Duel channel 32gb. I suspect not a huge jump either way!

    I am considering buying this beauty. Just one little question, the T14 G2 come with a NVIDIA GPU option, is it worth the buy? Or should i just get the normal one and buy an extra eGPU? Thank you in advance for your advide.

    • @GreenGreenStore
      @GreenGreenStore  3 роки тому

      Tbh really depends on the usage/when you need GPU and if that has to be more than just when you're on a desk (eGPU isn't that portable). The eGPU can be much more powerful, whereas the integrated graphics model gives you the certainty of more battery. The NVidia T500 option is a step forward from the Xe graphics if you need to have some form of graphic all the time, take a look at the notebookcheck review of that.

    X1 carbon gen 9 or this?
    I like the portability of the carbon since I am usually on the move, but the ports (specially they ethernet port) on the t15 is important. Hence, my confusion.

    Nice review, really good information! Can I have someones opinion what to buy. I have configured at Lenovo site T14 with i7, 32gb ram, mx450, 512GB. Is this good enough to use Ableton, Fusion360, CS GO, FHD video editing, is mx450 nessecery? I have T470s with i5 and 20gb ram but can't video edit or play CS GO. Would I be able to do those things with that T14 setup? Or do anyone have something else to recommend, price aprox 1500€ and 14" with some upgrade options. Thank you!!

      @@GreenGreenStore I looked that now, seems like it is 350€ more expensive with same components other than graphics card, I am not sure if that will give me anything that I need for that more money, ofcourse more gpu power but do I need it with those programs? Also I think I read that P14s G2 had some fan issues? Maybe it is sorted out? Thanks!

    • @GreenGreenStore
      @GreenGreenStore  3 роки тому +2

      Lenovo's availability appears to vary (depending on the model and region). One imagines that the ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 is the more volume based model where vendors focus more first. Hope that the T15 Gen 2 becomes available to you soon. ☺

    Great Vid! Could you look up the panel manufacturer part number in hwinfo? I'm trying to find the screen from the T14 gen 2 and can only find Lenovo's FRU for it, which isn't helpful
    The T14s gen 2 (2021) is virtually identical to the T480s (2018), except for the soldered wifi card (boo intel). The only thing I'm interested in is the 4K 500 nit display. Does anyone know the part number for it? I'd like to buy and upgrade from my QHD screen (the 40-pin eDP cable supports both QHD and UHD)
