Corvettes came out standard with wheel spacers im not sure what year but he did show me a number of them to me with factory spacers and they were 100% legal so if its good enough for a factory manufacturer why is it not good enough for us? Look i don't fully agree with them in my opinion its just one more thing to fail i only raise the question to get a real answer other then "its not legal" or to spark up a discussion. ( not an argument with uneducated, over opinionated trolls on the internet) I mean this in respect and hope its taken as such if so I have a few other industry questions id love to bounce back and forth with Glenno and hear his response. Never the less thank you Glenno for this free content and respect you greatly I've actually met you once at a Sydney 4wd show and had a great talk with you a few years back. But never the less cheers mate thanks for the content

whilst you are correct in essence regarding the sizes of the antennas and their uses, in that they have differing radiation patterns. Neither antenna throws a 'loop' .
The lower gain antenna will typically have a higher angle of radiation and the larger antenna loses the higher angles in favour of lower angles which benefits longer distance flatter area type comms.
All antennas can only send RF in a straight line. it all depends where it directs that RF that makes the difference.
Also an antenna will receive best from the same angle that it transmits at.
    hope that helps

Hey mate, love the rig and the shows. I have a question about the UHF Antenna switch. I've heard that I need to measure the length of the fitted cable (on the antenna) so I don't go over that length between the antenna and the UHF. How did you do the lead from the switch to the UHF. Thanks for any help. Keep up the good work.

Gleno, quick question: i'm running a 6.5 ltr Chev diesel with D Gas in my 86, 75 series Troopy, ( Yes i love it. ) But after a car accident ive been left with buggered legs hips and back and whilst im able to use the manual at the moment i know i'm going to have to go Auto at some point. Question: What roughly am i up for to change to an Auto? And do all Auto's run a computer?

Main reason is it drops the engine revs at 100klm/h by 1000rpm.
Also, when you start pumping big hp through them the manual gearbox doesn’t like it.
And....... when I built mine there wasn’t a good enough clutch to handle big hp-
