You've all been asking for it - well here it is - Gleno telling all with his LandCruiser 79 Series build up.
Check it out!
That is a beast of a truck. Wow.
Saludos desde México 🤠🇲🇽
Your enthusiasm and affection towards the truck is admirable mate!
That is probably the best LC79 series built I have ever seen. I wish Toyota will build these workhorse just like that.
Killer truck , great mods ,automatic conversion , rear end kit the best mod . Thanks for sharing. In 25 years we can import this truck into the States, I'll be 92.
John Diaz I'd take a kitted power wagon over this...hemi with a supercharger
Bloody beautiful mate! I get my brand new 79 series GXL dual cab next month! Can't bloody wait! I love that canopy! I'll have to look them up! Thanks for sharing Gleno!
Agree with you on the fridge have got one and love it .great build
nice work as always Glenno. Can't wait to see this and Milo 2 on Low Range hopefully soon
Big fan of toyota Land cruizer . Honestly this build up is so cool. i love it
Corvettes came out standard with wheel spacers im not sure what year but he did show me a number of them to me with factory spacers and they were 100% legal so if its good enough for a factory manufacturer why is it not good enough for us? Look i don't fully agree with them in my opinion its just one more thing to fail i only raise the question to get a real answer other then "its not legal" or to spark up a discussion. ( not an argument with uneducated, over opinionated trolls on the internet) I mean this in respect and hope its taken as such if so I have a few other industry questions id love to bounce back and forth with Glenno and hear his response. Never the less thank you Glenno for this free content and respect you greatly I've actually met you once at a Sydney 4wd show and had a great talk with you a few years back. But never the less cheers mate thanks for the content
nice truck Glenno, you have done a great job on that.
My dream ute...😍😍😍😍 beautiful absolutely beautiful...
Love your truck Glen. Good solid mods. Take care mate. Wish you good health always.
Love it Gleno, she is a beaut...
Cheers mate!
Beautiful rig Gleno👍🏻👏😊!!!
whilst you are correct in essence regarding the sizes of the antennas and their uses, in that they have differing radiation patterns. Neither antenna throws a 'loop' .
The lower gain antenna will typically have a higher angle of radiation and the larger antenna loses the higher angles in favour of lower angles which benefits longer distance flatter area type comms.
All antennas can only send RF in a straight line. it all depends where it directs that RF that makes the difference.
Also an antenna will receive best from the same angle that it transmits at.
hope that helps
Absolutely love your rig
Love the truck Gleno, Toyota should use this truck as a template for a touring package that people can buy for the 79 series duel cab.
Very nice bakkie/truck... I love it!
Proper kit you got there! Got me drooling for a bit. Greetings from borneo.
Beautiful
"its 10 out of 10, if it can go 11 out of 10, it is 12 out of ten" 😂😂😂
Every 4wdriver dream rig

Mate, all you are missing is a central tyre pressure management system. Maybe for the next iteration? Can't wait for the next episodes.

Ronny's a great guy. i'm sure he'd do a good job. Thanks for the idea
Are you for real? someone is reviewing their own build then you mention some stranger's name to do the review??How UTTERLY RUDE
This unit shits all over Ron Dahl's!

Top class truck.
THANK YOU FOR DETAIL VIDEO ON TOYOTA LC79
Loved the National Luna for 5 years now :)
Great when you buy from SA, about half the cost of AU :)
But WOW!!!! That 6sp Auto from a 200 is a thing of beauty!
So is the coils all round, brilliant!
Do you have all the software mods so its locks up at 100ks?
nice bruiser auto an all any mods under the bonnet ie.EGR- mods . intercooler ex.
need to sneak one of those into the US
Yeah noice cordial you have there 😎

Love the truck Glenno! It's a real beast.
5:07. Red label totally cordial 😂
Gleno great video and a fantastic 79 - how many liters is your National Luna , thank’s for the answer
Love it.
Well done Glenno. I probably would have done the exact same modifications if i knew these coil conversions were more readily available before buying my 2017 200 series, which I was considering converting to a dual cab. How does it compare in ride to your 200?
With the bar light on the winch bar , is it just as good as twin driving lights thanks Denis
Hey mate, love the rig and the shows. I have a question about the UHF Antenna switch. I've heard that I need to measure the length of the fitted cable (on the antenna) so I don't go over that length between the antenna and the UHF. How did you do the lead from the switch to the UHF. Thanks for any help. Keep up the good work.
"My cordial" lol
Hey mate what a nice looking and easy operated 79. Can I ask how does the tail lights perform on the trig point? I am thinking of getting a full time canopy either from norweld, Shannons engineering or trig point, thanks and cheers
Beautiful! What is the wheel specification? How many inches of lift?
Hey mate what a ride, may i ask you who is doing the automatic gear for you? Many thanks
Thats nice
fuck the haters Glen thats the best set up iv ever seen good stuff,a true 4x4 man cant get any of that stuff in Ireland but i enjoyed my off roading when i lived in OZ
Gleno, quick question: i'm running a 6.5 ltr Chev diesel with D Gas in my 86, 75 series Troopy, ( Yes i love it. ) But after a car accident ive been left with buggered legs hips and back and whilst im able to use the manual at the moment i know i'm going to have to go Auto at some point. Question: What roughly am i up for to change to an Auto? And do all Auto's run a computer?
Hi Andrew, if you can send me your phone number to sales@roosystems.com.au or call 1300305709 we can work this out for you.
Cheers,
Glen.
Andrew Potter.if your in Melbourne go to Wholesale automatics in Dandenong
looks awesome gleno. are you going to organise your canopy the same as your old setup?
Might try a few different things, but it will have similar functionality
Great truck.
What was the ballpark, overall cost to get it to this stage?
Gleno, your pillar pods, where'd you get them from? Are they Redarc because I can't find them anywhere! I have the same gauges but I'm not mounting them until I find those pillar pods. PS I drive a Hilux so they might not be the same.
Gleno what happened to your jackoff camper tray? Is it worth having or a fixed canopy like you have now?
Please sell lottery tickets for the truck! We need a chance to own something like this at some point in our lives. 😀
How much all up mate cheers
Nice rig mate. Where did you get the 2 way aerial switch from. ?
How much LC79 second hand 2017
So can a engine computer upgrade be emailed through then uploaded while away on a trip?
only if you have the slave unit atm. Shortly there will be a hand held device to load remotely for the customer to use.
Make a review of how you changed your transmission to 200 series automatic transmission ....tell us the study and what is required to install one please
Great work thank you for sharing....another question regarding the exhaust....why 3" why not 3.5"?
Is it better for the engine?
just need now 300mm chassis extention
why your stare on the right side,, or from camera view
You should be looking at the 79 series!
Un trained presenter I’d say has a lot to do with my style
Hey mate just curious about your lc79 is automatic gearbox ?
good on ya Gleno mate trying to get 100 series wagon to converted it to 4x4 ute so come and please help me find a 100 series wagon to do up Cheers mate
I'm sorry mate but the trailblazer fridge freezer at beats any other fridge and this is where I gets even better its made in Australia Queensland, but it is a lot more expensive than the other fridge
I'll take that bet.....
My Explorer fridge hand built in Cleveland in Brissie is absolutely amazing! ;)
Where this tilting bracket for the aerial come from ? I want one !
have you done any chassis strengthining glenno? what have you done underneath, particularly the front end
the coil conversion frame acts as a chassis brace and running Superior flexi arms up front.
Hi,
Get in touch with me as soon as possible. I need a LHD. Is it doable?
Do those antennas get in the way of your sight? Would they mount on the rear bumper, please educate me on this.
I'm used to it maybe. You can mount them where ever you like.
you got it!...this animal is a climber and you wouldn't remove the manual...didn't like it too
Oh Oh Man that's some real mean stuff
Have you done anything to reduce the turning radius in the city. ... I am planning to buy one and I want to reduce the turning radius.
If I give you the car... how much will it cost to get it to that level.
No more wheel lifts (on ruts) after the rear coil conversion?
it has flex now. Not a full on flex truck but it's nice
Gleno who makes the fridge slide
I would have kept the manual transmission in it, what was your reason for putting the auto in Glen?
you got it!...this animal is a climber and you wouldn't remove the manual...didn't like it too
Main reason is it drops the engine revs at 100klm/h by 1000rpm.
Also, when you start pumping big hp through them the manual gearbox doesn’t like it.
And....... when I built mine there wasn’t a good enough clutch to handle big hp-
What rims are those Glenno?
How much did it cost? All the upgrades to the vehicle...
A shit ton
Roof lights are now illegal in QLD
Stendec Stretcher bc you live in a nanny state
Yet transport doesn't give a shit.
What's ya light bar called cobber
Baja designs, bloody awesome
How much did it all cost
Don't reckon the normal bloke would see change from 75 grand for all those mods.
What would a rig like this cost
$200k
This is a brand new truck Glenno ?
Had it for over a year now
Certainly a good setup, for the travelling you do comfort is everything. Not sure if the comfort of the Disco could be surpassed though but the cruiser is a better setup.
Not much will beat a Disco for comfort, we agree there. We try different 4WDs for long term testing
What's the UHF antennae splitter/switch called?
Hi Todd, we'll find out for you and get back to you (Gleno's currently away)
A 2-Way Switchable Splitter, fancy that hey :)
Thanks Lowrange. I meant the brand Hugh. I did find a few different models online already.
Great truck if youve got 120 plus K to drop on one, auto 25K alone. Unless you want a narrow hard core weapon, just buy an F truck, it'll tow like a bastard, use less diesel and be a heap more comfortable.
looks like the dude from mcleouds daughters hahaha
glenno have you weighed it yet
Not yet, but it's on the cards
Catch cans void your new car warranty
300hp at the wheels with factory boost levels.. really??!
Yes mate- it has a few trick bits ie: larger injectors, turbo
ChannelBEESO id say it’s not a safe tune
