I jus got a diff from an X5, to swap into my 645. I also long tube headers on her.. I always said if the engine goes I'm gonna swap a 2jz... I can't wait to see how yours comes along... You definitely got me wanting to copy your tv radio screens. Good stuff !!!
Any difference in acceleration after the swap? Also what was the total cost of this swap? For the axles and drive shaft? Thanks for sharing this very detailed tutorial.
Thanks for watching. Paid I think 900 for all. I have not over the car yet. I'm installing a Toyota 2jz in it. On a stock car though it should be a good difference in acceleration.
Do you have to swap the driveshaft also or would this diff swap over by itself? I've just been told by my shop that the diff is going out on my 650 so I was considering just doing the m6 swap. Thanks
@@ProjectsPat I have 08 650i and my rear differential just literally blew up the other. I'm an aircraft mechanic so once I seen your video I was going to try to tackle this job myself. (Btw excellent video very detailed) But now it's cold as hell and I dont feel like dealing with taking the exhaust apart. So i guess to the shop it goes. lol
Man the project looks nice,, but the way you make videos is bad with all my respect,, at least make one full fast video within 5 min fasting the project because a video In 17 min doing this and doing that is too boring
Settings>playback speed>1.5x-2x Although considering the project and the amount of money it's saving you to not pay a shop I don't think investing 17 minutes is unreasonable

Yes. I will be doing that I. A couple months. It requires the m rotors also.
