One of my favourite drummers 🤘🏻
Honestly, you and Alex are my two favorite drummers dude. Y'all are just so tight and play with some excellent groove.
you're one of the most underrated youtube drummers.
Please interview!!!

Don W bruh

HA Drum cams when my boi ;)
'pure grease' fuck yes my dude wtf xD love it! and 100% agree, mix is beast!!
@Ashley Green .. it's the perfect mix of crispy and buttery eh
Or cheesecake. Pure cheesecake. Th
Use of hi hat in that fill at 0:35 is sick
RIGHT???
Awesome? You need to watch more drummer videos dude.
@@TheWitchOvAgnesi you're off your rocker if you think this is anything less than awesome.
@@TheWitchOvAgnesi who shit in your cereal?
@@stevensauls2013 I guess you might think it's awesome if you haven't seen some really awesome stuff like I have.
On the plus side... thank you for spelling and using you're and your correctly.
Drum playing where Alex has demonstrated that every single note/stroke counts and has immense importance.
He doesn't just "play drums." He genuinely plays music on a drum kit. There is a difference. And it's extremely rare in this genre. Alex is truly an artist at his instrument.
Of course dude
Whoever their sound guy is needs a massive raise
He's using Audix D series live drum mic's, they are truly like cheating.. I bet he hasn't even done much EQ to that kick, it's just naturally the way the D6 sounds.
if they were recording the whole set like they might in a studio, they could have bespoke mics for each drum - imo that's the secret for a god-tier drum mix, live OR studio
I literally can’t get enough of this dudes kit, drum sound, and groove. It’s such a perfect package.
A metal drummer that doesn't need double kick all of the time to "be a metal drummer." I've spoken to a friend a lot about him and it's interesting how Silent Planet is a metal band, but Alex isn't your typical metal drummer yet can still carry the music. Kind of makes me think of like Post Hardcore vs actual Metalcore.
Nic Pettersen from Northlane is another prime example of not using double kick all the time. He used a lot more in their old stuff but only when it called for it.
@@udaman100 I'll have to give them a listen.
Liam Harlow hell yea man, i just had a clinic with the drummer of periphery and he mentioned that most of his stuff is just singles with the right foot, and he rarely has parts in periphery’s songs where its elongated double kick hits
I agree with your statement on his kick work. Another perfrct example is Wolves at the Gate's album Types and Shadows. No doubles used, but you barely notice.
The synths in this song are brilliant
Man, the ghost note king is BACK
This is the best live drum recording I have heard in a long time, well done
often they add samples after the initial recording... at the mix... would be surprise if theres none
Jimmy Perron no samples or editing. Just Chris Ghazel being drum mixing freak. :)
Saw them live right after covid eased up with a group of friends. A guy in our group absolutely loves these these guys and the singer stage dove on our group. My buddy was out of his mind happy. The band really freaking killed.
I'm a country drummer and he is one my favorite drummers. That use of space...damn!!
He has such a “flow state” of drumming.
There's so much space in these fills. It sounds so huge and open. Makes the brain fuzzy.
i love watching Alex drum
That drum sound is immense! I love that snare sound.
to me I love the crack of the bass drum... sounds crazy good
saw these guys live recently, can confirm Alex is groovy as hell live
very talented! This guy goes to my "mustwatch" list
Dude is a total beast on the drums!
Super clean set when he plays live
This guy has awesome groove, timing and feel. Awesome mix, too
He seems to find so much time and space in-between beats.. its crazy.. super smooth, nothing is ever rushed
The way he play's makes me remember of Anup Sastry
You mean Anus Pastry?
@@werehalohex who is that? You're brother? Grow up man
Brandon Cruse Drums amazing 😂🤦♂️
If you claim to know who Anup Sastry is then you should def know Anus Pastry.
@@pedromacedo4107 you must be a joy to be around 🤡
I have watched this over a 100 times.. I cant get enough of this mix!
Thanks so much! We have a bunch of videos of him if you haven’t seen them all yet.

One of my favorite drummers 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Goddamn that is solid. It's like studio
Alex holds it down so well. such a hidden gem. 🖤
Man that into gives me goosebumps! Perfect way to start a show. His drumming is so groovy . I love it!

His shirt say it all! This dude hit hard! Amazing drumming and mixing, next level stuff.
The mix is incredible. But damn, Alex is INCREDIBLE. By far my favorite drummer. That SJC kit sounds phenomenal as well.
Love this so much!
Alex, you are a great musician. Powerful, soulful, and locked in the pocket. It's so refreshing to see a drummer who doesn't overplay. Peace.
buttery smooth!!!!
damn i love this. all you can hear is the wonderful instruments! so heavy.. love it!!
This is the best live capture I’ve ever heard!
I have to agree that this is one of my favorite drummers. Idk man, something about his groove, his composure. He's that fucking good 🤘
Great work on the mix!
This mix goes CRAZY
More from Alex please. I absolutely love him.
Those cymbals sound amazing.
Beautiful drums and beautiful cymbals. Very nice setup
This dude is a beast holy moly

so perfect
good gravy this mix is maximum gas, literally nothing sounds better
Goodness! These drums sound MASSIVE
The mix so lit
Love this
Big dudes groove is just crushing it!!! Love it!
Speechless.
So damn crazy good!
Saw these guys on your with august burns red and was hooked. Doesn't usually happen when I hear a live band for the first time.
Alex grooves so damn hard at 1:52, this guy is playing deep in the pocket. This is next level drumming for this genre, the only other drummer in the same league is Nic Peterson from Northlane. Those ghost notes and grooves he pays using the hi-hat, wild.
I love that part of this song! Such a vibe. I agree with this statement so much. Nic and Alex are are so underrated! Pioneers in the genre for sure!
Just found these guys... holy shit. So good
Love his setup
0:34 that hit hat is crazy man.
Greetings from Argentina!
That hi-hat triplets on 0:36 🔥🔥
@Sweet Jones III I mean he's not wrong... that was a triplet.. but the skill lies in how he carried that fill over the bar and comes into the upbeat with it.
Sweet Jones III just saw your amazing reply when i revisited this video to get some motivation from Alex .
If i am a “non drummer” I wouldn’t know thats a Hi-hat. And also i wouldn’t know that he used 5 stroke rolls which the sticking pattern is rr ll R in between beat 1 and 2 (in case you didn’t know) and the fifth stroke “R” accented on beat 2. Then followed by 8th note triplets ending on count 3 with the snare and right crash. Happy trying.
Cheers
(Took me about 3 secs to breakdown the lick)
That treble clef I didn’t even know that! Haha cheers brotha!
Alex Camarena Dude loved everything about your drumming. Stylistically amazing. You inspire people like me to keep playing. Gonna get myself one of those hats and ride! Cheers brotha!
@@thattrebleclef359 BAH GAHD that man has a family !!!
Huge fan of this guy!
This shit gives me chills.
Pure dynamic
flawless drummer
This man is no nonsense 🤣🤣🤣 this is siiiccck .. the mix is gnarley too bro 👌🏿
Kyle Copeland Thank you! 🙏🏼
Gat. Damn. Everything about this is amazing
1:44
Them ghost note fills...i just came
Much respect for the 18" (guessing/exaggerating?) ride tom! Solid drummer! Totally playing for the song... Love it!
SO TIGHT!! 🤘🏼
What a drummer!
Don't listen to much heavy music, but the feel of this drummer is incredible.
Videos like this make me wish and hope that they eventually release a deluxe edition with instrumental versions of the songs
I think we can say that about most metal acts out there, can't we!
i can feel this power !
FIRE!!
Legend!
Excelenteeee, tocas rebieeen so sick bro 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Magic !
This guy is such a goddamn beast!
🥺lovely🥺
He's so goddamn smooth.
It's just...so...clean O.O
Never heard of them, but this is really clean. Quality drumming.
fuckkkkk this mixing is good
i want more songs from that live show PLEASEEEE
this guy's time feel is perfect
his triplet high hat fills are just insaneeeeee
All things will be made NEW
Skills!
Daaaamn so tight
His ghost notes are lit.
THE POWER !!!!!!!!
all live drum videos need to be done like this, i mean, dont get me wrong, the ones that you can hear the cymbals... and the cymbals, along with, maybe a snare... are good, but something about the way this is mixed is just awesome. I get that its the album version, mixed in the favor of this video, but anthony slays (obviously)
