      🤔 "THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD CARRIED PHILLIP AWAY..." WHY COULDN'T THIS BE THE SAME "CARRYING AWAY" AS IN THE SAME EFFECT OF "GUIDING HIM THERE?" AS IN... WHY DOES IT HAVE TO MEAN HE DISAPPEARED OR WAS PHYSICALLY TAKEN? WHY COULDN'T IT MEAN, JUST AS HE WALKED UP TO THE EUNUCH HE SIMPLY WALKED AWAY IN THE SPIRIT AS HE HAD CAME IN THE SPIRIT & THE EUNUCH DIDN'T EVER SEE/TALK WITH HIM AGAIN? 🤷‍♂️
      ALSO, SORRY BRUH, REALLY DO LOOOOVE YOUR WORK, BUT ( THE HEART REVELATION ) IS NOT MOVED BY 3 DIFFERENT THINGS... BUT ONE. HIS SPIRIT PERIOD. WHICH... IS ( JUST LIKE THE TRINITY ) TAKING AWAY FROM HIS DEITY FOR HOW CAN GOD BE EVERYWHERE/EVERYTHING AT ONCE... IF HE IS SUBJECT TO 3. HE IS 1 IN & OF ALL. BEGINNING & END IS NOT 3 THINGS... HE IS 1.

Now I watched these videos, enjoy them, as we are all brothers in Christ, and follow his church, with Francis at its head, with the unbroken chain leading back to Peter.

    • @Unseen_warfare.
      @Unseen_warfare. Рік тому +73

      @@realjosephanthony Christ's warning against calling hypocrites father and teacher is not an absolute prohibition against using these terms, as some teach. These terms are applied to men many times in the NT, all of which usages are inspired by God. Teacher is used in Jn 3:10; Acts 13:1; 1Co 12:28; Eph 4:11; and 2Ti 1:11. Father is used in Lk 16:24; 1Co 4:15; and Col 3:21. Since the very early days of the Church, bishops and presbyters have been called “father” not because they take the place of God, but because in their fatherly care for their flocks, they lead people to God, and they exercise fatherly authority within the community.

      Yet these virgins in gowns I'm to call, "Father" ?
      No.

      You're cherry picking verses completely and utterly out of context, did you google "Father in the New Testament" ?
      I hope you didn't...
      "Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged." Colossians 3:21 KJV
      You realize this is referring to LITERAL fathers, correct? The title "Father" outside of God in Heaven is not to be used if it isn't your literal Father. That is not a title anyone can be given. You either are the actual Father of the child, or you are the Father in Heaven. A title such as "Master" or "Father" is strictly prohibited.
      *** Same thing with Luke 16:24, this is referring to the actual Father of the Nations in Abraham, not a title but his literal status over Israel...

    • @kasiosseijuro8494
      @kasiosseijuro8494 Рік тому

      @@realjosephanthonyit’s ironic that you speak of cherry-picking, given your position.
      Christ rebuked the Pharisees for being filled with pride and desiring to be lauded “teacher”, “father”, and “master” while being hypocritical “white-washed tombs”. Similar to His example of Pharisees blowing a trumpet before alms giving, the the Pharisees sought (and received) their reward from man instead of God, forfeiting reward from God. Christ spent the entirety of Matthew 23 on this idea…
      The reality of the Orthodox priest is the opposite..
      The Orthodox priest accepts the same charge Christ gave to St. Peter in John 21:15-17… To humbly shepherd Christ’s flock in a local area with the same love of Christ, caring for the parishioners like a father would his own son… St. Paul is a great example of this humility in the role of a spiritual father. His love for the Church spills over many times over as you read his epistles…
      The passage below further elucidates this.
      May God bless you and soften your heart. ☦️
      1 Corinthians 4:14-17
      14 I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you. 15 For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. 16 Therefore I urge you, imitate me. 17 For this reason I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.

I was born and raised Catholic but when I became a teenager I became confused and thought everything I was taught was a lie. It wasn’t until my grandma died in Dec of 2022 after I received the Eucharist at her funeral that I felt like I was ready to talk to God again. Even then, I was hurt and confused, asking why did he take my grandma before I even had a chance to say goodbye? I started watching videos about Christ, praying more, eventually downloaded the Bible app, and now I have a copy of the New Testament which I got for free. I feel a lot more close to Christ and everyday I want to know him more.

    Several years ago I lived in San Francisco with my wife (then girlfriend). We'd catch the bus downtown at a bus stop right across the street from the Holy Virgin cathedral in San Francisco. We were protestant at the time, so we didn't know orthodoxy existed and thought "that must be some kind of Russian catholic church."
    Several years later and we move to Oregon so we can start a family. I start looking into church history and find a nearby orthodox church. It's called St. John the Wonderworker and I later learned that it was named after St. John Maximovich, who help them start the little parish in the 80s. I like to think St. John saw my wife and I sitting across the street, waiting for our bus, and marveling at the Golden spires of his church, and helping to guide us to orthodoxy.

      You are correct to seek the Orthodox faith, as it is the true faith. Look up the nearest Orthodox church to you and email the priest to begin. Do not listen to ecumenist heresy like the comment above.
      There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism (Ephesians 4:5), one Gospel and NO other, not made by man, but given to the apostles through the revelation of Jesus Christ, delivered ONCE AND FOR ALL unto the saints. (Jude 1:3) The Roman Papist’s innovations of Absolute Divine Simplicity and the Filioque render that entire system entirely irreconcilable with the Orthodox faith unless they renounce these things. Read the Cappadocian fathers whose theology was approved at the first Council of Constantinople in 381. The Church rightly defended the Divinity of the Holy Spirit and taught Essence-Energy Distinction. God bless you. ☦️

The script, the edition, narrator's voice probably has the best "reading", diccion i have ever listened to. Narrator's voice speaks a lot like someone like me experience religion, most of us all are just nihilists and modernists that are seeking religion and fortunately or unfortunately already has some kind of scientifical and modern approach to it, so therefore, some level of skepticism and focus on results. The way you guys crossover modern and ancient, counter culture and orthodox religion, mans deep search for meaning and everyday life is something i have never seen anywhere. For example opening The Bible with a deep feeling, or a Hindu scripture called Sai Satcharitra, and reaching a page that precisely talks about the internal troubles I am having. That's the limit of my personal examples so far. But there are people with far more devotion than me and with them miracles happen even more often, and even more obviously, such saints are found in Eastern Christianity and in certain sects of mystical schools from all religions, and I have only read about such miracles.

    • @chooha
      @chooha 4 місяці тому

      Ah yes, I do have a recent example of another synchronicity. For three months I wasn't getting any job offers, let alone wfh job offers. But recently a very tough condition fell on my family. One day I went to the temple, and right before the _Aarti_ began I got a call from a place that was offering me remote work. The next day I was feeling particularly repentant and I was listening to an Aarti right from my home, with my hands outstretched for the whole time (around 20 minutes) and after that, I got another call that offered me an even better wfh opportunity, and I am still working in that job right now, feeling satisfied. Beautiful things like that.
