Gracias por compartir; cuanta tristeza me causa ver y escuchar a David. porqué no se cuidó; se abandono dejandonos sumidas en una tristeza profunda. Nunca se sabra la verdad sobre su muerte.
I had a migraine for 2 weeks from crying. The 4 where going to tour together in the summer of 2012 till fall. Just seeing Mickey. Peter . Davey. Meeting them after the show when they came to Minnesota. I finally got to meet them. And always watched them on Television. I know a lot of there hits hits to sing at karaoke. I will always sing 4 of Davey's songs from the Monkees on the day he left us at karaoke. The crowd will put there lights on from there smart phone when I get up to sing Davey's songs. Davey sure knew how to work the crowd. I'm the same way when I sing karaoke. Or live band. I learned. Just by watching there concert. Today. It's Mike and Mickey. Peter Tork just passed away not to long ago. He was so talented playing different instruments.
What a wonderful contribute to Davy Jones, and I enjoyed this video so very much and for Mickey and for Peter saying sweet things about him that I lost it emotionally. There will never ever be the Monkees again. But to their memories alive in our dearest loving hearts of ours to the very best band as to the Beatles as well too. I'd always will love the group called The Monkeys for the rest of my life. May God be with his family, his beloved Mickey Dolenz is a adopted brother, to the late Davy Jones, As for Peter Tork, and Michael Nesmith that they'd too may rest in peace. I'd always will love this wonderful group as well too.
The comments that Micky gave of his memories of Davy . Out of taking some time from their day to go riding horses & the two guys for galloping along add fast speeds on their horses turned and looked at each other and started laughing hysterically just enjoying the day and kicking back . Sounds like something I could post see them doing together.
So sad that Davy Jones is gone :( I remember watching the Monkees as a kid. Great tribute video. I like the letters that Micky and Peter wrote in tribute to Davy. R.I.P. Davy Jones. Your spirit lives on forever.
It's hard to believe Davy is gone from this earth, but "Early Morning Blues and Greens" (aside from being one of my favorites by The Monkees) is perfect for this tribute. Very nicely done!
OMG.I'm in tears. What a sweet man he was.Met him in 2011.He persuaded me to start playing my guitar again. He was so tiny!!These pics are gorgeous!!!Thank you,Davy,I miss you so much.
@seltaebgirl I can certainly understand that. Davy had a lot of fans worldwide, and his death came as a shock. I loved his sense of humor, and his english accent. I'm really saddened by his death :(
Thank you so much for making this video. It's been months, and it still brought me to tears. I think at one point I had all those pictures on my bedroom walls. RIP Davy, I will love you forever.
Both Davy & Pete are together again , & are enjoying a well deserved rest from a lifetime of blessing us with their gifts of joy, happiness, & laughter, for seeing us through the most tumultuous epoch in the history of Western Civilization. They live on in the music & the memories that they shared so generously with us.
I also. And yet, I still keep watching it. I can imagine Micky and Davy riding racehorses with the reckless abandon of youth, hair blowing in the wind, looking at each other and laughing like crazy! I think I need to cry to purge the grief. Playing my old vinyl albums isn't doing it. They have been played so much that they crackle. I suppose I'll get some CDs. But I'll never give up my old albums!
Beautiful tribute. The camera can't hide when people really care and love each other. You guys were a great influence on me! I especially loved the song, "For Pete's Sake." John 13: 34 - Jesus said "behold I give you a new commandment, to love one another. By this shall all men (and women) know you are my disciples, because of your love for one another." I wish wholesomeness and clean fun would come back in style! Are you listening, Hollywood?
RIP davy love the monkees then ,now and forevey. they were broth toghter to make the world shine with peace and love .i got there christman album dont why it took so long .this christman iwatch and listen to them all day christman ihad a very merry monkees christman bless the monkees
I think I'm in if you get this I tried many many hours to get here and I hope you don't think that I ignored your messages from yesterday morning.I also now have a gmail account where i will be able to be found in due time. I've got to go but please Have a Great Day !!!
Early Morning B & Gs was always one of my favorite songs because I liked to put my ear against the speaker and figure out who was singing backup harmonies. On this one, it's Davy! If you listen closely, you can hear his British accent on words like "disappear" and the entire part, "I feel the moments hurry on"! They couldn't do it live like that, and I'm not sure they ever played it live. But in the studio, some of the best harmonies are an overdubbing of the same person. Beautiful song.
This is the best tribute video I've found on the loss of Davy Jones, and I've been looking at them for several days now. Early Morning Blues and Greens was one of my favorite songs he sang, and goes perfectly with the letters and photos. Very poignant. Thank you for creating such a lovely video.
My children don't understand my grief. I loved David and always will, but I expected him to be, if not immortal, at least the youngest and longest living of the Monkees. This is a very touching and appropriate video. Thank you. I hope some day I can cry away the emotions that still trouble me.
He is much missed. Love him forever
My #1 song!
Gracias por compartir; cuanta tristeza me causa ver y escuchar a David. porqué no se cuidó; se abandono dejandonos sumidas en una tristeza profunda. Nunca se sabra la verdad sobre su muerte.
Beautifully done!
Glad you like it Deborah!

THE Monkees são os idolos da minha juventude.
Meu preferido ainda é o Mike Nesmith, apesar de gostar de todos.

I felt a knot form inside as I read Peter's letter.

Awfully shallow note from Mike. I’ll leave it at that…….
