- Here's Davy singing a fantastic, up-tempo version of "It's Not Too Late" that is the best I've ever heard him do. Great backing band! He also sings a nice, country tinged version of his standard "I'll Love You Forever". Luke Duke (Tom Wopat) introduces the segment.
This is the singer/peformer/celeb who , with one song ...made you want to run away with him and marry him! What a charmer...WHAT A DOLL he was!!
Yes he was....I enjoyed all my times with him
True his eyes were amazing and when he looked at me the time I was able to talk to him he is sensitive and his heart was as a shining star
There will never be another Davy Jones..He has my heart forever..I will love him forever
yes l love. bavy too and l,ll alway,s. miss him. but l hope he rest in peace.
Davy...he's forever a cutie!! ( at every stage of his life !) You could see in his smiling peformance, how much he loved making his audience happy , with his music and humor !
I was a Monkee mania fan! Davy, I think, improved with age! He shared later in his life that he grew up in the church. Said his mother was the organist and sister worked in the youth group and their life revolved around the church when he grew up. I liked the wholesomeness and premise of the TV show when I was a teenager--good influence, guys! John 3: 16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. verse 17 - For God didn't send his son into the world to condemn the world, but that through Him the world might be saved.
I love him soooo much and I always will!!! David Jones you have my heart forever! His sparkling eyes in this video just melt my heart!!! Thank you for sharing this!!
This is an amazing track of not too late, once again he picks the very most difficult diction and shows us how it is really done. Then a song which should have been a crossover country hit! That's why I always put him down as an American icon, because he embraced Americana even in his own writing.
A beautiful romantic song. I hear it and just feel so incredibly sad. From things that were on t.v. with Dr. Phil and his daughters I don't think Davey was treated like he should have been. He just seemed sad. With so many of us in love with him I wish he would have found someone who loved him not his money. What a special way to have someone love you.
I love It's Not Too Late...

Great voice and terrific personality.
I was listening to monkees pool it in my car and had to look to see if any were sung where I could see them..
Saw them in concert in the 80s and 90s missed 00s ...I so regret I missed them on their last tour..💔
I remember seeing this when it aired and being disappointed by the slower arrangement on the Justus version - thanks for posting!

Davy Jones forever. Wonder why his marriages collapsed. He seems to be a genuinely great man as well as Sexy.
Maybe because he was always on the road, travelling.
Aww Davy not the Uncle Bill outfit
1994
Am I seeing things or was that Peter Tork on guitar?
You're seeing things. LOL!
I hate to be a downer but did anyone notice this is dated about 3 weeks before he died? Is the date on this the showing date or the posting date?
It is the posting date. He said he had been singing others' songs for 30 years. He started at 18. He is at most 50 here. He died when he was 66.
Read through the comments and it's nothing but geriatric women soaking their depends.
Good stage presence. Voice at this time is nothing .
