its incredible how pincurchin was more useful than the iron leaves itself
"Pincurchin can clean up" should NEVER be spoken
It’s going to be crazy when Miraidon comes, expect to see double terrain setters. And a lot of Volt switching
@@pharaohonthetrack9544 bro, ppl are never going to use this thing
@@iancastro1327 I wouldn't say that...
All it takes is one person with the balls to use iron leaves than you'll see it everywhere,
i used to Play a lot of Iron Leaves earlier on , on Casuals but not anymore...
but we used to crush Dnite/Pao teams all the time😂 and my Iron Leaves had a Ghost Tera but it's a different time now that Incin is here
But i'd rather run Sneasler because it trolls tf out of Incin/Dnite/Pao & Flutter Mane
and it'll OHKO all of the Ogerpons if they don't tera right away
@@pharaohonthetrack9544 bro, it takes more than you and a friend winning some games on showdown to show success, moxie is literally the wo-chien guy is it good? Ofc not
Iron Leaves?
I hope they come back.
I’m ashamed to admit I was amused by this.

@@miggy3561 "Waiter! Waiter! More fire types please!"
This was such a great pincurchin moveset guide and showcase, you've really outdone yourself Moxie
😂
It's weird that this is the Paradox legendary that got its Psychic type as the signature move when the other 5 DLC legendary Paradoxes got signature moves that weren't the shared type (Psychic and Dragon). It should've gotten a grass signature move that was boosted in electric terrain.
It just feels like they intended to give psyblade to the whole trio, and then realized that’s stupid so they gave the other two actual movea
@@Rarest26they should've just given Iron Leaves a second signature move, it's not like she'd be spoiled by getting a move that'd actually be useful, and not just be stuck with Psyblade, considering how actually good Tachyon Cutter and Mighty Cleave are, and how less than great Iron Leaves dual typing is
Either they had to give it two signature moves, or Leaves had to deal with Zen Headbutt(oh wait it can’t learn that) or Leaf Blade
To be fair Grass gets kinda walled vs the meta Pokémon. Yeah it Can someone fight Urshifu but all the Genies can cover it’s weaknesses. Plus there’s other grass types far better to use
They should’ve gave them all 2 signature moves because I was waiting for Gouging fire to get something massively cool but then it got Buring Bulwark still a cool move but it’s just a shield 🛡️ that doesn’t protect against status moves u could still get put to sleep or paralyzed. They need to buff that away and make it a Full fledge, protect.
The game is so oversaturated with pranksters.
I just be wanting to have a decent match sometimes lol
Here's how you buff Iron Leaves:
- Trade a bit of attack for Speed instead
- Replace Grass with Rock
- Make it Urshifu
That would make it solid i think
it doesn't work for the type change since they must share 1 original trait of the original and what does make it urshifu mean? if they want, thye could've just make a grass type move that was boosted in electric terrain
@@pat1r1ck They're making a joke about how Iron Boulder is better.

This made me throw up in my mouth
If its signature ability was a 100 BP Razor Leaf it would have been usable.
You know it's a terrible Pokémon when he doesn't glaze it in the intro...
Iron Leaves did one cool thing for me, which was getting traded for a Landorus.
Ah, my condolences to that Landorus trainer
@@natunuggets5692 If people wanna get robbed that bad they can just leave the keys in the lock
Poor dude got scammed out of a Landorus
If he was a scarlet player it would have been a decent trade tbh
The concept of a Pokemon that can take unique advantage of multiple terrains is genuinely really cool. It's just a shame that it wasn't executed the best with Iron Leaves.
Wait I think they unintentionally may have pulled it off with Iron Crown instead. Its Quark Drive would go off on Electirc Terrain, but its also viable on Psychic Terrain as a part of Psy-Spam
@@Ultradragon16 the thing is that leaves can theoretically work in every terrain with the exception being misty terrain(which no one uses anyway)

There’s no Iron Leaves in VGC
There’s no Iron Leaves in VGC
There is no war in Ba Sing Se
"There is no Easter Bunny, there is no Tooth Fairy, and there is no Iron Leaves in VGC"
I really thought iron leaves would be decent if tapu koko came back but that damage output was so depressing.
Like the stars aligned for iron leaves in the battle and still couldnt get a ko. Like 😭😭😭
i've noticed that mediocre attackers are a Lot harder to make work than mediocre support mons cuz there's just less u can do with them
0:42 I don't know if it was intentional or not but Iron Leaves' face being covered like Mike Wazowski the entire time you were talking shit about it in the moveset guide is so funny to me. Mon is so bad that it doesn't even have enough dignity to have its face shown.
I wish the iron swords of Justice were part fairy instead
I don’t wanna imagine a fairy steel iron crown
i think we already had that in gen 8 😬
Do you REALLY wanna have another Zacian?
It could make sense, swords of justice could be a fairy tale so you could use them being fairy tale characters to justify the fairy type.
The dollar store Zacian
It should have gotten a Grass signature move and Psyblade should have been the Paradox Musketeers' common Psychic stab
Iron leaves is kinda like Urshifu if it sucked. Yeah that’s it it’s pretty embarrassing to even compare them but hey what can I do
Video starts at 0:00
I was struggling to play the video but it finally worked thank you
🙏
I love how you are genuinely confused while talking abouit this mon, like "what were they thinkng?" energy, it's fucking great
"haha oh funny an "i dont care" bit"
*hears the word cut mid syllable before the ad read*
"Oh he was serious"
The second you said pincurchin i was tuned all the way in. I love seeing competitive pincurchin usage. Forget the iron leaves. Show me the urchin with its ballsack on its face.
Iron Leaves: *exists*
Amoongus, Rillaboom, Ogrepon: Bro thinks he’s on the team 😭😭😭😭😭
YES FINALLY!!! IVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR A PINCURCHIN GUIDE!!!
This video was proof that you should make a Pincurchin guide
The other day on ladder I ran into Tera Normal Quick Attack Iron Leaves. I wish I was making this up
💀💀💀💀💀
Want my theory on why Iron Leaves can learn only 1 psychic attack? It's because he misses being a Virizion and wants to be a living creature again. :(
It’s weird that on one hand it sucks but on the other hand in the event raids it’s an absolute menace this thing is an enigma
Yeah all the event raid needed was: A lot more HP, have more than 4 moves, and negate enemy state changes/abilities. XD
@@lightdragoon88 Tbf wake also had that and its piss easy
The future goats are so borked compared to the past cats it's actually crazy. Even with that insane signature move I hardly see any Boulder, let alone the other two.
- Psychiatrist: "Iron Leaves does not exists, it can't hurt you".
- Literally every single meta Pokémon right now: "I'll be damned, you're right!".
Magnificent intro
they should make berries that let you by pass resistences like tinted lens for type
Sounds really bad, imagine ruining your wall mon on the switch because of a unexpected berry.
Of course it was not going to get much damage if you fixate too much on using booster to get speed that you lower your attack EVs for it.
Let it keep its attack. Who cares if it is not as fast? You got several other pokemon for Speed control, so let someone else use Booster.
With that same Pincurchin as a partner, you can turn Iron Leaves into a Psyblade Wallbreaker using Quark Drived Attack + Life Orb + Tera Psychic (or a defensive tera if you prefer to survive).
The idea here is to use it to destroy bulky slower pokemon with either Psyblade, Leaf Blade or Sacred Sword. It deals very heavy damage under electric terrain and life orb. If you need speed, you have plenty of speed control mons or just use another mon for speedy KOs.
Way better role than forcing it to speed up and lose so much damage in the process.
Didn't read + outsped and OHKO'd by fluttermane and chien pao
@@MoxieBoosted lol
I wanna point out that a plus 2 leaf blade wouldn’t have killed that Cresselia even if it was a crit or the hit was super effective. 😐
Most likely a mistake, but maybe he implied super effective damage equaling the +2 boost.
Honestly on the coaching set i think you should go harder on the support with quash and quick guard and just have leaf blade as a source of okay damage. Its still not great but its decent support next metagross.
Hey at least it can be used on every type of terrain which is neat
I can highly appreciate the mons named after stands, I’m glad I’m not the only one
Vileplume video next?
That was certainly one of the intros of all time
I cant imagine the poor souls who find moxie on ladder actually manage to win but he was running an iron leaves team. Talk about a false sense of accomplishment haha.
At 10:19 Why did you say that leaf blade was super effective against Cresselia when it wasn't.
It's +2 so I said super effective as shorthand cause it was an equivalent calc
I think it's neat design-wise
It’s kind of funny seeing how bad Iron Leaves actually is 😂
But I would love to see a vid for new team builders on how to decide how to spread EVs when building a team and how to plan for a good chunk of meta
love the content ❤
Yes, this. EV spreads are what I'd like talked about as well. I know they differ depending on pokes and what you are trying to calc for, but a overall guide would be helpful
I think we all want to see that “mystic magical “ set now 😂😂
I tried it for a bit with manual Electric Terrain from Prankster Thundurus and Life Orb Psyblade, and it was fun, Psyblade would nuke a lot of mons in the terrain, especially if I got a SD off. But then I just did the exact same idea but with Iron Boulder and it was just better.
I think iron leaves would have potential to be good if it was much more of a glass canon. If it’s defenses (and maybe special attack) were lowered and those points invested into its attack and speed as well as psyblade either having a 100% smg increase or maybe having some more unique effect instead of the terrain boost (hear me out -an ally switch at the beginning of the turn that deals damage whenever iron leaves gets to move)
Musics still not in the description...
I know Iron Leaves can be seen as bad, but it's at least nice to have a guide on it ngl. Thx Moxie!
Iron leaves is fun, it works fine on most terrain teams but the problem is that there is one terrain setter and it doesn't do well on psychic terrain teams with indeedee
“Iron Leaves should leave”
- A really wise man
This team needs Raging Bolt with Rising Voltage.
I have a similar Electric Terrain team with Pincurchin + Iron Bundle as Electric Terrain setters and Raging Bolt + Iron Boulder as attackers. Raging Bolt on electric terrain using Rising Voltage is effectively a 182 Base Power move, and hits like a truck. I considered Iron Leaves over Iron Boulder (to fill a similar secondary attacker role while not overlapping ground weakness) but haven't tested it out yet.
Also, somebody should be using Electric Seed for a defense boost. My Iron Bundle has Quark Drive boosting Defense + Electric Seed and he just walls physical attackers like it's nobody's business.
Fun fact : a friend asked me to get a Rank master ribbon on its shiny Virizion few days ago. I was kind of sad looking at its option and ended up using a basic choice scarf set to put it in one of my teams. And to my biggest surprise, Virizion weirdly was the MVP in the 2 matchs I did.
I guess Virizion kind of have a niche of being a grass type (and thus immune to powder moves), able to outspeed unboosted BS 135 speed with a scarf. Not a great niche by any mean but... Ended up somewhat useful in my case.
Iron leaves seems just worse however, because... Being immune to Spore and Rage powder doesn't feel interesting at all when it comes with a double weakness to Pollen puff...
Might get a tiny niche in GS cup in some Miraidon's team, maybe ?
I mean, it's still decently bulky, so you could adapt its spread to fit some of your needs. Definitely shouldn't build around it, but could be the last of a very specific puzzle, I feel.
They shoulda made the signature move grass instead of psychic. Maybe give it the side effect if being 2x against grass
that way you can beat enemy Rillaboom and ogrepon while benefitting from a better terrain option
Does anyone know if when you send an aoe attack on a pokemon while the other is protecting itself, the attack takes maximum damage?
No it’s still spread damage
@@tcm_smitty thanks !!
This video makes me want to find a niche for leaves. Some wacky set that can put in work. Something like AV atk boost with prankster tailwind or multi terrain. Then again, my competitive experience is watching UA-camrs, lol
I'm not just salty that they made such a cool design, only for it to suffer with a bad name and type.
If it was 108 speed, this would’ve been a different story.
What I'm taking away from this is that Pincurchin is better than Iron Leaves.
I like the nicknames on the pokemon. Very fitting 👌
It sucks in doubles but in singles with hazards its pretty good
The only paradox pokemon moxie can't make look good
The go beyond iron bundle hits trough protect?!??!
Iron leaves did one cool thing for me and it got KOed by a lando-T U-turn which allowed me to get Choice specs Flutter mane in without it taking any damage.
I'm super curious as to how electric terrain boost Iron Leaves attacks besides from activating quark drive. You said it boost his attack but I don't think it does? Has anyone checked?
I can here the sadness in moxies voice😭
I really wish the line wasn't psychic type, esp in this meta. It doesn't have like Dusk's ability. Not having a great signature move sucks too, esp when the other Paradox legends have great everything.
Awesome Pincurchin showcase video
I'm just disappointed this is the only Grass-type future Paradox Pokemon. Imagine a future mon that's visibly partially biological, or a living greenhouse or something.
Perhaps it's foreshadowing the future.
I'm hella sad we didn't get a future Tangrowth made out of wires
i kinda like iron leaves leaf blade nights slash razor claw. with iron jugules and dragon cheer/electric terrain/tailwind.
Poor Virizion, it's even bad as a Paradox Pokemon. It was easily the worst Sword of Justice or w/e the hell they're actually called, and it's easily the worst Paradox Pokemon of the Swords as well. I wonder if we'll get an Iron Keldeo? Well, if we do, then Iron Leaves is still going to be the most booty out of the four.
why isnt it's signature move grass type?
All of the paradox beasts/swords had their moves be their primary type, except for Iron Leaves.
It wouldve been cool for it to have a strong physical grass STAB that couldve gotten stronger in psychic terrain
This mon only has 1 physical psychic move.
That’s sucks that he stacks no paper to the ceiling and doesn’t ride on 23 inch chrome😔
really enjoyed this pincurchin showcase
i love the whole team being jojo references
But Moxie Boosted, have you ever heard of the Iron Defense - Leaf Storm set?
It doesn't work
"instead of boosting yourself you can boost a better pokemon" is wild
i love the idea of watching you trying to make a terrible pokemon work! is there any chance well get to see more videos like this?
Bro cooked this damn thing 😂
with how hard it was to catch, it should be better
I think fast couching with dragonite entei could be really good
Unironically best use for leaves is for coaching
i like how pissed off you are about iron leaves
Love the lack of confidence you feel in this pokemon, like we all feel 😂
game freak cooked with iron leaves by making psyblade the only damaging psychic move it can learn.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only person who found difficulty using this thing
What boulder is is what leaves should’ve been.
Weird that they gave it a signature psychic move when its 2 counterparts got a signature steel and rock type move respectively. They did this mon dirty
moxie boosted what are your opinions on vgc azumarill
Bruh whoever manufactured this thing in the future did NOT know what they were doing. The one guy who made the other two died so they needed to get the unpaid intern to plan out Verizion. Never let them cook again
Someone has never used the Tera Bug Quash Iron Leaves set
Who tought him was a good idea
I also love how no one is going to argue bc we know it sucks
While i agree that it definetly should have been better i feel like you're being a bit too harsh on it. I made an Iron Leaves team with Life orb and honestly it's been doing pretty well. Psyblade definetly should have gotten another unique effect tho. I wish it healed like Bitter Blade or smthg
Yaknow, its tragic the original somehow was stronger than the future version. She's literally a Chinese knock off of the real deal lol. Drunk oak was the best thing to happen to them.
I hate how it's signature move ia the odd one out. Why is it not grass?
I've only ever seen someone on ladder use Iron Leaves as a Booster Speed fast Coaching mon
I think this team can work but I feel that Landorus hasn’t been very cohesive to the team very much
I’ve remade this team (to the best of my ability) with Rhyperior and swapped out Cloak for Sash on bundle and it feels much more consistent. I also decided to have gravity over imprison just for Megahorn/Hydro Pump/Thunder Shenanigans
I’d love to see a return to the Iron Leaves team cause I genuinely enjoyed what you guys cooked up with the WP Set
"It didnt kill with a super effective leaf blade on cresselia" . . . . Ah yes Cress my favorite grass weak pure psychic type. 😂
I was using super effective to mean a neutral attack at +2 (equivalent to super effective damage)
Ah
Gigantic W on the Pokémon names
His opponent probably thought they were going to win against Iron Leaves too. That's why they rage quat at the end. 😂
Imagine how bad the mon needs to be for Marcos record with such low energy xD
bro didnt even try for the intro
