The Babies are one of the greatest under-rated bands of all time. Some Glorious stuff! I am an American Patriot America-phile, but "rule Britannia" and "God save the King-Queen"! ha ha ... but dead serious
I just pulled out from a VERY difficult period, what us Christians refer to as spiritual warfare combined with traumatic health issue, was feeling like ending my life, now that is behind me (long story) and this song came to mind.....so "here I am" ...just thought of pun.... hearing this great, timeless song again in celebration!
"Like the sun just burst through the clouds". What a great phrase! You captured the electrifying flash of joy at suddenly seeing hope after thinking there was none; watching the underdog surge ahead in the last stretch of the race.
Just recently this year I went down the rabbit hole of Mr. John Waite and his solo work and with the Baby's. Man he is an amazing vocalist! And the band is great too!
Oh yeah, Jonathan Cain. Went on to be the keyboardist and songwriter for Journey after Gregg Rollie left. Never skipped a beat. It was The Baby’s loss, but they still had John Waite. The best ever. Pure talent. I miss these days.
John was the ultimate front man a fantastic Voice as good as any the band was tight the sound rivaled any “hard rock “ band back then these guys were pegged as “soft rock “ by the so called critics, they had an incredible hard drive for a so called soft rock band, better than most at that time! My humble opinion.
Best concert ever at the Michigan State Theatre in Detroit! Reminds me of my dear friend Mario who just passed away 2 years ago! What a great performance from John Waite! Awesome voice. My children even like his music!
Sorry for your loss my dear hey sweetie since you great taste in music and not surprisingly your kids do too hunny I'm very a die hard John Waite fan since Missing You I'm Rosie from New York City how are you feeling this morning
I guess I am the only one who noticed John Cain is playing for the Babys?! That guy rocks, but yes John Waite has the vocal range to make you cry and then get back on your feet again! Hehe!
When you think about bands that should have made it big ... The Baby's are one ... Waite had/has a signature voice ... killer melodies & great lyrics ... 🤔
This song says that you are strong and with the right person you can have it all.
Saw him perform it live last night…still incredible at 71!

They belong in the HOF without a doubt ! 😊
100% agree, plus I'd like to see jonathan cain be a double inductee, I dont think he gets enough credit for how good a songwriter he is
I LOVE John Waite’s voice. Especially singing Every Time I Think of You
😍😍😍

Killer power pop tune. Absolutely amazing vocals and just the song structure itself is incredible. So simple yet so effective.

I can relate, remember GOD has it!
Those were just difficult growing pains. Focus on God Always, and he will walk you thru your path. Glad you are still here, my brother in Christ.

This song is so cool! It makes you want to jump up and down like the sun just burst through the clouds.

Power pop at its best. The Babys should have been bigger...
They had something for sure. Why they chose and stuck with that name for the band is just so bizarre, no cred at all
Drum set is awesome 👍💯
Oh yeah, Jonathan Cain. Went on to be the keyboardist and songwriter for Journey after Gregg Rollie left. Never skipped a beat. It was The Baby’s loss, but they still had John Waite. The best ever. Pure talent. I miss these days.
And Ricky Phillips on bass! Ricky, Jonathan and John formed another great act in the 80's "Bad English"
Another great band!

Was 17 years old in the 80' my older friend said listen to this band.

The Babies were beyond their time. Classic 70's rock. Music that loved the MTV era. John Waite can sing.

The Baby's had such a great sound. John Waits is such a great vocalist.
My lord, “they” never get old!
He was down on his knees and crying? I was curled up in a ball on the floor! She wasn't worth it, either! Thank God, a real angel answered my prayers.
Always liked this song!!

Great band, when original music was the norm.
Badass

First concert I went to was Journey and The Baby's in 1981 at the Bayfront Center Arena in St. Pete, FL. I thought they were better than Journey.
