  • I ordered these Tilapia for my Aquaponics system a month ago and they just got here. They had not shipped from the Tilapia Farm until only a few days ago. They were shipped with 2-day shipping, but they took 3 days to get to me. The temperature was low. So we get them into the IBC Tote quick. This video will walk you through some of the things you should understand before you buy Tilapia.
Raising fish, or any protein source to eat is almost unheard of these days. It shouldn't be the case, but it is the reality. Aquaculture is a great practice that doesn't have to be very difficult. I will show you that you can do this.

Can you use that fish food from tractor supply to feed your tilapia?

Where did you order the tilapia fry from? Were there mixed male female in the bag? I am in California, do you know if blue tilapia is allowed?

AQQA - amzn.to/3j9xR8F Great Price and I've been running it for 6 months now with no issues. Before that I had burned through one every 3 months or so.

I got them from Lakeway Tilapia. You should just be able to Google search them.

Nice video pal, but why tilapia? Why not koi or carp?

I'm raising them for food. I have my Koi still and I love them. I had thought about getting Carp and raising them to eat; I feared they would have similar personalities as Koi and then I would not want to eat them.

So true. I will follow with much interest your journey of raising tilapia for food. I love tilapia fish. It must taste very different when you raise your own!

We will see, I have wanted to farm fish at home for some time now and I look forward to getting the fish that far along. I first got into Aquaponics years ago when I was looking for ways to filter my Koi Pond water in a beneficial way. That is where the Logo idea came from. I felt as if the Koi were helping me farm and my son drew a "koi farmer" as a funny joke.
