You are so beautiful. I've been gray since I was 12. The sun does turn my gray/white hairs yellow. I have to wash often with purple shampoo to keep the vibrant gray/white hairs.

Ok girl, I'm desperate looking for a product that leave my gray hair shine. My hair is completely white and dry. I stop coloring and process for about 2 yrs. Now start to embrace my curls because don't want to blow and iron either. Wow. I have had grey hair for decades. I'm currently on low cut now and I've been using just water and some Naava hair oil on my hair. Some days I just use aloe vera . About gray looking dry yes it does. When I had long hair , it never really shone which was quite distressing despite my hair maintenance routine.

I have platinum gray hair. The front is always yellow. I also have a perm of which I have decided to stop. I agree with the list that you gave of yellowing hair, however, I did not know that the UV rays turned my hair yellow, which makes sense because I normally wear it in a pony tail and I live in Florida. I am trying to go natural but I do not want to do the big chop. Do you have any recommendations. I need a good moisturizer leave in treatment recommendation. I use an expensive purple shampoo and conditioner and when I let my hair dry naturally it breaks a lot, so I need help. Thank you.
I have absolutely no idea what turns my grey hair yellow but I only have to pass a very small amount of water on it and it's white again, this can be a bit frustrating if I want it to remain straight. I'm a 64 years young 4c natural.
How about hot oil with a heating cap
I’m a carer for my mum who is a heavy smoker, so I’m in her house most days and I’ve noticed my hair has a yellow tinge to it, particularly at the front where it’s mostly white. I use a purple shampoo every couple of weeks and it helps but I can still see it.
It's even worse when you're the grey haired smoker 🙋♀️. The purple products I use seem to whiten it up pretty good but they are pricier.
